This was hands down one of the best barber/salon experiences Ive ever had! A friend recommended Family Barber to me along with Christy Atkins, who was absolutely wonderful. I got a wash and cut for 40$, and the quality was exceptional. Christy was attentive in learning what I wanted and then executed it beautifully. My hair feels better and looks better than it has after the last several cuts Ive gotten (and Ive been hopping around to multiple places). 10/10 recommend!!!!

Jimmy is very skilled barber. I do get what I ask even though my hair is curly, which is not easy to cut.Before Jimmy, I did try someone else in this shop that I forgot his name and I think he is not there anymore. Jimmy is the best! Kosha is awesome too. They’re the only ones I’ve had. A really good value. They’re super kind. The owner is attentive to customers needs and comfort too. I love this place. I always walk in and they find me a spot.

One of the worst haircuts Ive ever had. I have gaps in my head. I was cut by the razor. Im not going to say the barber shop is bad or everyone in there is a bad barber. My son got his haircut there and this girl did an amazing job. This place is more for older gentleman. If youre looking for a good barber that does good fades do not come here.

I paid $30 and tip $5 for a haircut that looks nothing like the photo that I showed. I was so irritated that I just paid and left. I even told the guy when I called to make my appointment the specific haircut that I had and he said that the guy that was cutting my hair could do it. Now I have to walk around for at least two months possibly longer with a haircut that I don’t even like. Other than that the employees are friendly and they always make sure you’re comfortable while you’re there.

I barely write reviews about services. However, I am so excited to write about todays experience. I have had visited Family barber many times in past to had my hair cut done. I had a very good experience to know about Jimmy who is so not only talented hair professional but also he is so kind and humble. Ive tried some other hair professionals when unfortunately I didnt book any appointments with Jimmy and every time I was not as happy and satisfied as I was first met with Jimmy. Today, luckily I got a chance to get my hair done with Jimmy too. He had done his job so perfect. I really like his services and must recommended to all.Dont forget to try Jimmy:)

You pay $20 + tip for a men’s haircut. Hit or miss depending on the stylist you get. Not going to name names, but I have had some good haircuts and some bad haircuts, but the people who give good haircuts are consistently good.The best way to find out who is better is to see who is booked several days out. If someone has room for an appointment in 30 minutes, chances are that they won’t do the best job but it’s up to you if you want to risk it because sometimes you can get lucky.

First things first: Some of the best barbers in the area work at Family Barber, so youll get a good haircut there.Whether you have an appointment or you are a walk-in the friendly staff will get you in a chair and theyll take great care of your hair. The facility is clean and the people seem to enjoy their work so that makes for an overall pleasant atmosphere. If I had a barber shop Id run it like this one.

I have a Istory to tell so dont get the wrong idea until you read!I know everyone because I work at Chevron. I finally got a hair cut from Family Barber. I went in on a whim and I got a hair cut that I just did not like. I was trying to ask for a trim and long side swept bangs. I ended up with straight across bangs and a choppy uneven haircut. I paid and Left. I went home and tried to style my hair and see if I just need to wash it. Nope. So I called back and asked for the manager. Nikki talked to Mike and they ended upgsaving my hair and helping me out. I FINALLY found a stylist and person who I trust with my hair. Nikki and Mike are the best!

My husband can’t stop raving about the haircut he got here this morning. He was a walk-in who was seen right away. The environment was friendly, and the barber was professional and engaging. The cut looks great. The straight razor shave was an added benefit. We both love it! He will definitely be back.

Walked in and they were slammed full. The owner asked to take my name down and set me up with an appointment an hour later. Came back and had a gentleman by the name of Matt as my barber. I had long hair, wanted it back short. Showed him a picture and he went to work. They closed at 3, but they stayed open and didn’t rush even though my appointment went past. When I say I had a true haircut, I had a true haircut. He took his time, and he worked in a perfectionist manner. He cut absolutely no corners. All I can say is a job extremely well done. I will be going back, no questions asked.

Karen is my favorite! Shes creative and takes her time. Ive never left disappointed! Across from Kroger which is very convenient. Reasonable prices. Not just a mens barber shop. They can do it all and Karen does it all well!

I wandered in luckily one afternoon and found Mark Ann. She couldnt have been any nicer. She listened and looked at pictures I brought and tried her best duplicate the cut and color. It was perfect except the roots were too dark. I went back in, and she fixed it where it blended naturally all over. Ive been back 3 or 4 times. Shes put purple streaks in mine which is hard to do on brunettes, and body wave is coming next. Mark Ann had very positive energy and is always pleasant and kind to her customers and her coworkers. I look so forward now to getting my hair highlighted since she does such a good job, and its affordable. Dont let the word barber fool you like it did us. Mark Ann and some of the other girls can do it all!!

Love the atmosphere and service

Most of the staff seemed friendly, however the lady I got didn’t listen to a word I said about how I wanted my beard trimmed? She just went about it herself and only quickly stopped to ask if the length was ok on 1 side?? I said it’s hard to tell but I will keep an eye on it, but she didn’t do anything I asked? If I had been left facing the mirror so I could see rather than being turned to face the rest of the shop I could have stopped her from butchering me and maybe got her to do what I wanted, looked like it had been done with a knife and fork when she finished..I had to go home and finish it off myself?? Felt like she just rushed me out the door..I won’t be going back!

Very clean, friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming. As soon as we walk in the door they remember us by name. Always offered beverages. Asked how our day was and asked the kids about school. Weve always used one barber there who is absolutely amazing. Shes so friendly and down to earth. Always take interest in what the kid are doing. All around great experience every time. Were family there.

Fantastic! I recently moved to the area and Ive been feeling a little shaggy. I had been looking all over the area for someone that could do a proper flat top. Thats when I called and got an appointment with Mike at Family Barber Shop. I was very impressed with the hair cut. Mike nailed it. The people, customers and employees alike, were very friendly and the service was top notch. I will most assuredly be going back soon.

The worst haircut in my life. And that is not an exaggeration. For all of the niceties they pile on (Want a coke? How about a shave with hot shaving cream? Neck massage?), they fell short for me where it really counts... the haircut. I told her what I wanted (and I assure you I dont have complicated hair, it basically hasnt changed since I was in high school), and got completely ignored. And I walked out, at the time not realizing how awful it looked. People were making comments when I went out that night - no joke. Terribly embarrassing. Oh well, you live and you learn, right? And you get someone to fix your hair in some guys kitchen while youre at a party...

Horrible experiences on 2 of 3 visits. Do not go to this business. New to area. Visited 3 times. First visit, good hair cut from lady. Second visit, a disaster by a guy. Asked to speak to owner. Spoke with son. Owner never called. Third visit, disscussed issues with prior experience. Lady was a smart mouth and refused to cut my hair in manner requested. I left without a haircut.

After multiple long waits with an appointment and a rushed cut with no care attitude once I finally reached a chair I moved to another salon. Recently stopped by for a light trim and a new guy did a butcher job. No talent at all. Place was caos and could not get out of there fast enough. This place was once promising but has gone down hill. I should have never given another try. I have learned my lesson. I can never recommend this place. Stay away!

Made appointments 2 different times, made it there at least 15 minutes before are scheduled times and both times we waited 30 minutes the first time and 40 minutes the last. Its seems th ey over book and hope for late appointments. I will not make it a third time.

Mike without you quality is falling. Got a cut recently that is just awful. I do not know who is quality checking new staff or teviews thier work but not working.
