Ive only been once so far, but I really appreciated them. I brought them the same issues that others have told me I needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs for. Here, they found the simple fixes for my problems and didnt try and push me into unnecessary repairs, and they did it all in a timely, courteous, and affordable fashion. I plan on coming here next time I need service.

I had my car serviced at Westside Service Center regularly when I lived in Madison from 2009 to 2012 because they did a great job and the prices were always extremely reasonable. I moved back recently and was so happy to find the same experience! I took in a car that had been sitting for months. They changed the oil, gave it a full once-over inspection, gave me a couple recommendations and let me know about a couple things to keep an eye on (but didnt recommend doing any work now since the fixes would take a lot of labor, and the issues are not pressing), and sent me on my way for well under $100. These guys are top notch.

I do the majority of the work on our cars and only use a shop for catastrophic issues. In one case, the ball joint failed and ruined the entire suspension on that side and most recently I had water pump seize and toast the timing belt. This is the only shop I will take my cars to. They are extremely professional and hard working. They explain every issue, so you can feel good about the cost. The prices are reasonable. This shop is not a secret, so you may have to wait for your car to get serviced, but if you can wait, it is very worth it. This time, they worked extra to shorten the wait, which was greatly appreciated.

I have been going to Westside Service Center for around five or six years. They do excellent work. They are completely trustworthy. They look for ways to make the most affordable and rational solution for what is ailing my car. (It’s over ten years old and issues come up now and again.) On top of everything, they’re kind and friendly. I’ve moved since I first started going here. My new place is a little out of the way but I don’t think twice about taking the extra effort to get repairs done here. Will continue to go here.

They were friendly and efficient! I brought my car in early on a Tuesday morning after calling to see if they had an opening. They didnt have an opening until Friday, but they let me park it there anyway since I was lucky enough to get it started at all (my starter was broken). They called me Wednesday morning saying they fou d some time to work on it, and by Wednesday afternoon they had him all fixed up! Like I said, they were friendly and efficient, they had a sense of urgency to get me my car back and I think they charged a fair price! Hopefully I wont need to, but Id bring my car here again!

Ive had some bad experiences with the last two auto repair shops Ive done business with. Im new to Westside, I chose them because they have good reviews consistently. My first real job was working in a full service gas station back in the 1970s and I sold vehicles for a living for over six years...I appreciate not having intelligence and experience insulted! My first experience with Westside could not have been better!

I have had an oil change and manufacturer’s recommended maintenances done by Westside Service Center for years now. It’s always a pleasure going there and I have had nothing but good, professional experience with them!

It was my first time using Westside but they were great! I dont live far from their shop and I was going to walk home. It was a cold day. They said they would move me up in the line so that I could get out quickly. They did the alignment and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. I will definitely use them in the future.

Customer service were excellent a 10 . the work done were restoring my head lights which turned out to be awesome. yes I will recommend an will be returning thank you.

You can schedule an appointment online, theyre incredibly fast in their work, and at no time did I feel they were upselling me or misleading me about what needed to be done on my car.

They completed it on time, on budget, and works well! Glad my car runs so well now at over 265k miles!

Last time I went here I told them I wanted new tires a week or so before the appointment, on the day they called and said they didnt have the tires and could not get them the same day. They asked if they could keep the car another day or have me come back later. That was frustrating because my wife does not have the flexibility to drop me off any time, and I dont want to have to take time off just to get tires on my car.Seems like poor planning on their part.

I love this place! These guys are the best. I never feel as if Ive been taken advantage of.They know their stuff, give you options if available, and never rip you off. I recently replaced our brakes, and so satisfied with the whole experience, which included showing up on the wong date.Had Broadway tire tell me when I went for tires that I had a situation with my tie rods.Quoted me $600 to fix all the problems. Instead took it to Westside who said it was nothing to worry about at his time, and theyd watch them each time I brought my car in. That was 2 years ago and we are still moving smoothly. I was very pleased with my experience at Westside Service Center. I know see why it takes a bit to get in there for service, because what you get is quality! I just moved to the area and had an unfortunate turn of events with my vehicle while moving (aka my dash looked like a Christmas Tree). I am pretty mechanically inclined so I had a hunch of what was wrong, but didnt have the means to do so in my new living situation.Westside service was very HONEST when identifying the issue, quoting the issue, and then delivering on that repair. The folks at Westside are always very honest about what really needs to be repaired for safety and keeping the car running and what is optional for improved performance. Its such a different perspective than most dealerships or chain service centers who try to convince you to do every repair even if it is not really necessary. We have a couple of older cars that we just want to keep running safely for our kids without spending a ton of money so that honesty is greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.

West Side Service and Aaron have been my preferred mechanic—and the preferred mechanic of nearly all of my friends—for the past 20 years. He is knowledgable and an excellent communicator. He is honest and reliable. He will not simply throw parts at a problem, but will research and diagnose and fix only what is wrong. He keeps old cars running safely, and will tell you when it is time to start looking for a replacement. Over the years, he has saved me thousands!

Extremely responsive and helpful to point me in the right direction, even at the sake of losing the money of my service since I already had an appointment at another shop... did an online request and was helped to understand that my appointment set at another shop was indeed correct and what I thought would save money was actually not that safe and a not saving much money at all.

As a young woman, I have had some unpleasant experiences with car repair places trying to take advantage of my assumed lack of car knowledge. Turns out, I actually know a thing or two about cars (which is neither here nor there), but I have been really angered by the shady treatment of some shops. Westside Service Center is the absolute contrary to those businesses. This shop is the best experience Ive had, and I drive a clunker so Ive had many experiences to collect data! The technicians and managers are extremely respectful and honest about the work that needs to be done, and dont try to sell you anything unnecessary because they think you wont know the difference. Ive been here for the past few repairs, and they have been MORE than accommodating, prompt, professional, and are very well-priced. Their COVID-19 accommodations for my latest repair also made me feel really safe. I will recommend Westside Service Center to anyone and everyone, and especially to my friends that would be targets for less honest establishments. In fact, this shop was originally recommended to me by a young female friend with the same positive sentiments. Thank you so much for the great service! Aaron is great. Straight shooter, doesnt try to up charge you. I went in for new brake pads, but Aaron said I still have 30-40% left in them. We ended up putting on new tires because it was long overdue, along with winter being around the corner. Honest mechanic, reasonable prices.

They fixed my car right when it got there! They thought it might take a week depending on what was wrong! It means a lot that they did a quick look and were able to fix it quick! I take my car here to get my tires swapped for winter/summer ones twice a year. Very reasonable price and they normally have a lobby I can work from while waiting (currently closed due to covid).

Honest, thorough, and affordable car maintenance. The only downer is that it often takes a week or more to get an appointment because theyre quite busy. But I dont trust anyone else in the area more, so I usually happily wait so I can get in to see them.

Small little shop with great service. I went in for a Upper and lower ball joint replacement and a right wheel bearing. They did a great job. Kept me update on the fix and also made suggestion on what else is needed or going bad. Great service and great staff. Incredible service. I will be taking all my car needs to them for now on. In for a coolant leak that turned out to be the heater core. The guys provided two options: to fix it correctly, and to bypass the heater core for the season. Having the less expensive option was super helpful.I definitely recommend Westside Service Center.

These guys are so awesome. They go out of their way for you. My bumper was ducked taped on and they drilled a couple of holes and tied it on for me. They replaced my ugly duck tape with nice tape. They replaced my bad coils and gasket and my car runs great! They charge a fair price for great work!

Every time I bring my vehicle in for service Im amazed how fast they are. I barely have time to finish my coffee (complimentary K-cups!). They are ninja mechanics!

I highly recommend them!)About two years ago, while getting routine maintenance service, the local dealership said there was a semi-serious (& expensive) issue with my vehicle; they said that it wasnt an emergency but needed to be dealt with ASAP. I took my vehicle to WSC for a second opinion & was so impressed I havent looked back! Im still getting this same vehicle serviced at WSC.From our initial encounter, Aaron has been friendly, practical, and honest. In fact, that second opinion Id sought was basically just to keep an eye on the problem and that it was not, in fact, something that needed to be fixed at all--unless I wanted a complete engine rebuild to correct the root cause. Needless to say, we are still keeping an eye on the problem now, and the vehicle is doing fine. It did recently need a new battery, for which Aaron again provided excellent service. Due to the pandemic, we never interacted in person, but he helped arrange for towing from my home and then started his day early to get the vehicle back to me immediately the next morning. Thank you all so much for your service, professionalism, and overall awesomeness!

I come from a family of mechanics, and I and my family have been going here for 13 years. Always great work, they do the job that you want them to, and will always be honest. Your brakes still have about 10% left, so those can wait, and other stuff like that. Good luck hearing that from other mechanics.Really, the best in town.

Very honest and always call to get approval of any work before starting Competitive pricing. Just be sure to make an appointment at least a week out, they are always busy!

I was extremely pleased with the service I received at Westside! I had some issues with my brakes, and they were able to get me in relatively quickly, gave me reasonable estimates (which they came in at), and finished up the work ahead of schedule. I cant imagine going anywhere else for auto service.

I needed my AC fixed, and found Westside Service Center using google. I chose it for its close proximity to where I live. Setting an appointment was very easy, available right on their website; very convenient. When I came in the day of my appointment, the staff was great, very helpful, and they dont hesitate to address your concerns. I also needed a car rental, and lucky for me, the shop has their own car to loan out, and for a fraction of the cost of commercial car rentals. I had a diagnosis done on my car, and the staff explained the issues to me in a clear manner. Very fast service.

We STILL love West Side Service Center! A friend recommended it a couple of years back and were so glad they did. The team is great to work with, they are honest with you about your vehicle, and I feel like I can trust what they say and that theyre not going to run me through the ringer. If theres a down-side to things its that because they have a great business, they sometimes have a full slate and cant get my car fit into the rotation if I have something come up - but thats a result of good business! I love the small-shop feel they provide and their timeliness and highly recommend them!

I was kept up to date on what was being done with my car and informed how much parts/labor would cost and what needed repairs via e-mail. Always had my calls answered promptly and had a great experience with Aaron. I thought the pricing on everything was average and I liked having the option to choose what quality parts were used to try and save some money. I had a good experience and would come back and recommend my friends.

I came here for an oil change and the prices were very competitive and they completed the work quickly. They also didnt try to push repairs on me. They did give me a quote for something they found while doing the oiil change, but they also said that it wasnt necessary to fix right away. I am new to the area and it was wonderful to find such a nice place so quickly. Will definitely keep giving them my business.

A no nonsense repair shop. They know what they are doing, are honest, and prices are quite fair. You wont get a massage there, but you will talk to whomever repaired your car. They take the time to explain exactly what they found and how they fixed it. On two occasions, they corrected a misdiagnosis from the dealer for me. The best.

It takes a little while to get your appointment (~2 days). The estimate was more than what they actually ended up charging us, too! How honest can you get?!Several friends have recommended this facility - and Im joining the chorus.

I have taken my 12 year old van here for many years. Aaron is a straight shooter. He never tries to sell services that arent necessary. He is honest about options and does fabulous work. I will trust him with all my future vehichles. I highly recommend him to all friends and family.

Great Service, competitive prices. Ive taken my car here a few times recently. Each time, we were very happy with the result. The service has been done incredibly quickly, they do great work, and their prices are as good as any local service shop. I try to avoid big national chains when doing auto repair, because I know the people at a place like WSC will give me personal service and take true ownership for the work they are doing. These are top-notch people, and they provide top-notch service.

Brought my car here for just a normal oil change and everything was fine. Appointment went quickly and I was able to sit in the waiting area. Not much in the waiting area but thats life. I didnt get cell service there but there was free wifi. Before I made my appointment I wanted to be sure that I would be able to use my warranty coupons. I had bought my car from a dealer in another city but was told I could use the warranty at other locations and it would still be covered. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and kind, I was so happy that he took the time to meet with me ahead of scheduling and took the time to call the warranty line to find out if he would be able to redeem it there. Thanks!!

Ill start with the bad stuff: theyre usually pretty busy, so you cant just drop by and say hey change my oil but a lot of places are pretty busy and at least that means lots of people trust them with their vehicles. Theyve been really good to me so far. They fix what needs to be fixed, at a very reasonable price, and they advise me on what else could be done but doesnt need it right away, instead of just fixing a bunch of stuff and racking up the bill like other places. Theyll tell you their honest opinion. Anyone who goes against their own self-interest like that is much more trustworthy in my book. Theyre quick, reasonably priced, and effective. This is why they are my shop of choice.
