Tried calling a cab that they originally said would take 20 minutes to get there. After 40 I call them and ask what’s going on and can I get a valid ETA? Caller was rude as hell claiming they were doing the best they could and later had to return back to the phone admitting the driver was going the entirely WRONG WAY STILL. I have never. So I explain to him I want to change my pickup address because I don’t want to wait at the restaurant and can we edit the ride and make it round trip to to which he snootily suggests would take longer to get me then it already was although once again giving me any form of valid tangible information was beyond him.

Waited over 2 hours for a cab to take me home. I start work 1:30 called before then. Told them to be there 3:30 and they werent. Disabled cant wait forever either. I have meals on wheels come at 4:30. I only live one mile from work.

Always prompt and affordable. The drivers are helpful. All the cars are Teslas, which is cool. Safe ride, and they helped me with luggage when I went to the airport with an injured back. Would recommend highly.

Stopped at a stop sign then proceed forward when it was safe. Green cab driver drove pretty fast and I almost got T-bone. Then he got out of his vehicle and we started arguing. Unprofessional and unsafe. Doubt management will do anything smh. He was at least going 45 on a 25.

Utterly abysmal. Tried to set up a ride to the airport and the person who answered the phone was (1) crazy rude and (2) uncooperative. I live 7 minutes away from the airport and my flight was at 650. Im TSA pre-check. The would not set up a ride any time under 2 hours before my departure. They would only come get me at 450am, forcing me to sit in an airport for 110 minutes in a pandemic instead of a normal amount of time. Also, Im an adult and know how long things take. I fly out of that airport 20-30 times a year.Update: I got an Uber. Picked me up at 530 and I was through security and at my gate by 550.

Ive never used a green cab before, but Ive had at least 4 experiences with green cabs being driven erratically and at very high speeds. One rode my bumper when I was already going 10 over the speed limit and when they could finally pass me, they went rocketing off at LEAST 20 miles over the speed limit. The people that are employed seem like impatient a-holes with no regard for the people around them. Regardless of how good the service is, the amount of dangerous and reckless driving that Ive seen has given me ample reason to never use them.

I boycotted Green Cab for years because they abandoned a 16 year old baby-sitter at 2am, at my doorstep. She didnt come out within a minute window, and the cabbie drove off.Today, because my favorite cab company - Union Cab - is short on drivers I tried to schedule a ride for 4am tomorrow, for a 5:35am flight. They said they wouldnt book a cab unless I gave a two hour window, for Dane County airport. They couldnt guarantee that they could take the :15 minute drive to the airport in the time allowed. I complained, and said that a two hour mandatory window at that time of morning was insane. Ive taken hundreds of flights out of DCRA, and you with carryon you can consistently arrive within an hour of your flight and board, no problem. Ive never missed a flight.They refused to book the cab, and then hung up on me. I called back, and he hung up on me again.I booked an Uber for 4am for my 5:35 flight. Ill make it, for $15 instead of the $25 that these people would charge. Theyre not a customer service business, and theyre not a transportation business.Im happy to boycott these people until they go out of business, this time.

Called for a cab on a Monday mid-afternoon. Called to check on ride after 25 minutes. They couldnt tell me how long it would be. Cancelled after 40 minutes. They offered no apologies. They shouldve said when I called that they had no idea how long it would take.

I called for a ride. Dispatch said 45 mins. They arrived at the wrong destination and never told me I had to call them back and set up a new ride. I didn’t find that out till 30 mins later. So I waited over an hour to go just a couple of miles. I could’ve walked and been there by now

Everytime I take green cab they’re always late and inconsiderate... every driver wants and extra buck so they cram people in to the point where your rides take forever. I’ve waited up to a hour and a half sometimes... they’ve forgotten about me completely.. but today I was pushed over the edge when a driver knew that because of him and the company I was already 30 mins late to work.,. We had to drop someone off at the bar first & then he picked up ANOTHER RIDE & ANOTHER RIDE! It’s sad that they cost this much but have such poor service, I’d ride with any other company but them. Even the dispatch is terrible

I have had good experiences with Green Cab both booking online and over the phone. They often come early, which I appreciate. Another local ycab company once picked me up at 3:00 pm for a 3:00 dr. appointment even though I had scheduled a 2:10 pick-up time well in advance. Fortunately, Green Cab has been very reliable for me.

I called my cab at around 3:20ish and they told me that my cab was going to be 20-40 minutes, time had passed so I called back and the dispatch said it would be here in 20 minutes, 25 minutes pass I call back and they say they dont know whats going onthe driver is parked somewhere and they dont know if hes on break or if someone wont get out the car. They gave the run around for almost 80 minutes and didnt apologise or nothing they said I dont know what to do. And hung up. Very unprofessional experience and not professional for a cab company that is supposed to be the best cab in madison.

The dispatcher was not professional and sent a wrong cab to my location, I asked for a cab with a bike rack instead he sent a different cab when the driver showed up he informed me that another cab with a bike rack would take an additional half hour or so

Do you want to go home and spend thanksgiving with your family? Well if so, don’t even think about using this pitiful excuse for a cab company. Yah, Tesla’s are cool and all, but when it’s 5AM and you have a a scheduled ride that gets canceled and the only explanation you receive is “some people just decide not to show up to work today”, you don’t care what type of car it is. Pathetic customer service and an even more pathetic scheduling system.

My freshman son who was flying home to Boston for thanksgiving made a reservation a week prior to him leaving He had a 7:00 am flight. He called the night before to confirm the reservation and was told he was all set and would be picked up at 5:00 am. The morning of at 4:55 am they cancelled his ride. He was left scrambling for a ride to the airport and ended up missing his flight. Beyond disappointed in this company. You should be ashamed!

I’ve had old men drivers who drive way under the speed limit and don’t know how to use the Tesla technology. The other night my driver had such massive body odor that I was gagging and could smell it thru my kN95 mask and the plexiglass partition. Last Sun night my driver was drunk or high, and speeding, swerving, and crossing the yellow line. I’m constantly way early or late to work because of them. And the cost seems comparable to Uber. Plus I have to ride share. I only use this business because my employer pays for me to ride. Definitely would NOT recommend.

All cabs are hit or miss but Green Cab is the best cab company in Madison. Ive had pretty good service most of the time Ive used them to take my cat to the vet or when Ive had a flat tire on my bicycle. Kevin was a great driver who was cordial, on time, and had a mask for me when my own got stuck in my backpack zipper.Ill be honest about the negatives so youll believe me about the positives. A small minority of drivers have scared me unnecessarily driving like NASCAR when I was not at all in a hurry. One guy wouldnt open the hatchback for me even though I clearly did not have a hand free to open it myself. The last time I took a cab home on a rainy day it took an hour to get a cab with a bike rack. Amandas original vision for the company was for all the cabs to have bike racks and I dont know why only a few have them now. Uber, Lyft, and the other cabs dont have the and they should play to their strengths. I cant be the only bike commuter who would to ride to work and get a quick cab home in case of rain or a flat tire.

The cab driver called me and said that he would be outside my apartment in 2 minutes. 15 minutes later he showed up. The entire ride he was looking at his phone, and he took a route that was indirect to say the least. But the best part was when he dropped me off, he waited for me to get out of the car and then proceeded to back into me and then when I called to complain about the horrible situation the dispatcher told me that a refund or discount was impossible. This was by far the worst cab experience of my life. If I could rate any lower than 1 star I would.

Rode from Sun Prairie to downtown Madison for a Saturday nite show at Barrymore Theater. Cab picked us up on time. Nice Tesla, although it was a tight fit for my 6 3 275 build. After the show I called for a ride back, asked for the same driver if possible, and Mike was there within 10 minutes. Nothing but good to say about Green Cab, and kudos and many thanks to Mike!

Better than most cab companies in Madison but thats not saying much at this point. If youre lucky enough to get through to them during prime cab operating times, itll be a very long wait (that will most likely be at least a bit late). Whether youre a passenger in Green cab or just driving on the road, be prepared for tailgating drivers cutting you off. I emailed the company once about dangerous driving that I saw from one of their cabs and never heard a reply.

Every now and again there is a dud.Today, 8/15/2019 I had a predetermined cab pick-up at 10:05am(I had requested the ride the day before around 1pm) for an interview that was a solid 30 min ride. I asked for Shared Ride because I already knew the ride was going to be expensive. I built in the time for that 15 possible min late arrival and the additional pick-up just in case because I wanted to arrive to my interview at least 10 min early.Once I got picked up-the driver said he was going to pick up another person. That is fine, no worries. He spent a solid 10-15 min trying to figure out where the heck the address was and then said he was going to call dispatch to cancel the pickup because I was on a time constraint.I was able to arrive with my desired 10 min early for the interview but I was OVERCHARGED by $12.50!!!! It is of no fault of mine that the pick-up had to be cancelled. The driver was slow moving to determine what he was doing on the phone. The ride was originally supposed to $32 and I was charged $44.50!!! I didnt have time to figure out the reason why because I had to go.After the interview, I went onto the Green Cab website to the Contact Us page. I wrote this specific dilemma and havent heard back. It looks like someone is replying to posts here more frequently than on the website.I just need this sorted out because I SHOULDNT have had to pay additional $12.50 this morning.I have never been overcharged before and the driver didnt seem too concerned about the fact that my original cost shouldve been $32 (he even said thats what the computer had originally said too).

I don’t know why they have such low stars. This company is great. I was nervous about finding a cab super early in the morning. I scheduled in advance and they were right on time!!! Great service and friendly driver. Plus you get to ride in a Tesla instead of someone’s beat up old Toyota. I’m hooked. And they have a video cam for safety which is a solid bonus for you and the driver. 🙂

I used to love taking green cab because they were reliable, now, I’m lucky if the cab comes on time a few times the dispatcher would forget to put my scheduled pick up time on the board. I still gave them a chance, yesterday was the last straw, call at 4 am to have them pick me up at 5:30 they didn’t get to my house til 5:50 I was late to work which resulted in points! I needed to get this cab because I had a bike on me. I initially had trouble getting a ride from DeForest to campus via the app. Due to problems with DST, I scheduled to be picked up at 8 PM but the app said 7. Also, the app was frozen while trying to coordinate a driver. I canceled the request and tried setting up the ride, only to have the same problem happen. I lost my patience and was about to give a call to schedule the ride and complain when the dispatcher gave me a call. He politely asked if I was trying to get a ride from DeForest and I said yes. The dispatcher cleared everything up for me. Then, the cab driver helped rig my bike to the back of his car and he explained on the ride to Madison that the app is bugged with DST as well as when there are rides requested from outside of Madison, which explained the time issue and frozen screen issue. We talked about the Cross Fit Games and Stranger Things. I got out of the cab feeling like the company was making respectable efforts to go above and beyond with their app and the customer service I received was the best I had received from a taxi service since I was young kid. The kind people, along with the satisfyingly rational explanations for why I ran into issues on the app turned this rating around from zero to five stars.

I emailed Green Cab and they never responded, so here is my cautionary tale for everyone who wants to consider using this terrible taxi service:--- Message Below ---I had an incredibly stressful, unsafe, and frankly unacceptable experience with one of your drivers on December 21.I pre-booked a cab at 3 AM from the Holiday Inn Express in Verona to Madison Airport a day in advance. I confirmed with your operator over the phone that the ride would take approximately 25 minutes.On the morning of the ride, the driver showed up 15 minutes late. When I got in the cab, she was arguing with a male customer in the front seat about whether she should let the other customer get out to use the hotel washroom. The customer decided against this, but they subsequently continued to argue about whether the customer should pay the driver in cash up front. They continued to have an extremely loud heated argument for the entire duration of the trip. There were obscenities shouted and the driver turned around in her seat on multiple occasions, diverting her attention from the road, to try and involve me into the argument.I have an audio recording of the argument that I can share upon request.Not only was I worried about being late for my flight, I was worried that the argument was going to escalate and become violent. I did not feel safe and wanted to get out, but I needed to get to the airport.I finally arrived at the airport at 3:56 AM, beyond the estimated time frame communicated by the operator upon booking. Moreover, the drivers behavior was beyond unprofessional and unsafe. I felt traumatized after the trip.

I can not go into much details for legal reasons, but the only thing you want to do in connection with this company is let them chauffeur you where you need to go, but under no circumstances should you partner as a driver. Take it from me I had to find out the hard way and I lost big time. Hopefully the judge if necessary will see the shady dealing in their contract that is not noticable until you physically begin driving. I was able to see the bias and discovered other third parties who encourage shady business only because I had been able to work in a part of the country that has laws and a legitimate agency to make sure there is nothing like this to occur.

When Green Cab was a newer company, they were awesome. I vowed to never use another cab company again.Now that they are in higher demand, they cant keep up with it (good luck even getting through during peak hours!) and one of the things that I liked most about them is that they call you when they are there or if they have a question. At least, they are SUPPOSED to.Last night, I waited for an hour for a cab which I understood because it was bar time, and I saw a cab pull up but I didnt know if it was mine so I waited for them to call me and let me know. The driver sat there a moment...looked at their tablet....did NOT call anyone, then drove away.So I called Green Cab and asked about the status on my cab and they said someone just tried to pick me up and they called me but I didnt answer. Lies! I had my phone in front of me the whole time and watched the window the whole time. So he said he would have another one come. I waited another hour as I watched several green cabs drive by without stopping so finally, I ended up calling Badger which I was trying to avoid because Ive had problems with them in the past. I had a cab in 20 minutes and a friendly driver.Sorry Green Cab, this is the last and final straw.

I used to work on the UW campus in the green houses and every day I would need a ride to my other job. All of my cab drivers were on time and very friendly. I had nice conversations with all of them and they all had their own stories about the Madison area. It was cool to learn more about the city. I have to take them for longer rides.Because of my Budget. Even when I order them in advance, they still come late! They call you and tell you 15 for minutes. After 20 minutes, I call them back and its yet another 20 minutes. Customer Services need to take some classes in how to speak to and treat Customers! A green cab driver told me that they are just as nasty to him!!!! I never had a problem with a driver other then one time. He wouldnt get out and open the trunk for me! I told him he wouldnt get a penny for a tip! And I am a good tipper!Union is the best company. You can learn a lot from Union Cab!

Nice cars and good drivers, but bad service. Cost more than rideshare services, which I expected, but the service itself is much worse. First, it took 40 minutes to show up, but the kicker was the driver needed to pick up other passengers, so the ride was much longer too!Multi Passengers really surprised me, and my driver said you need to REQUEST a single ride. Single ridesharez are cheaper, let alone the pools. I think this is a pretty clear trick to gouge people and either get them to upgrade for more, or just take the expensive shared ride and greencab is more efficient.

Called dispatch at 4:05 and was told about another 10 minutes. Waited until 4:30 (30 minutes late at this point) and still no driver. 30 minutes late is unacceptable for a ride to the airport, especially for a ride scheduled in advance. Called a Lyft and it showed up 3 minutes later.

Used Green Cab twice in the last 8 days. The prices went up over 25% on the same ride, and was charged more than the quote on the most recent ride tonight. The driver (both drivers were good) called in and told the male that answered the phone what I was quoted and he said hed adjust the rate. The rate had not been adjusted by the time I arrived at my destination so the driver had to charge me what was showing on the screen. I will never use Green Cab again.

I had a very pleasant experience with Green Cab. My car was out of commission for a week! Green Cab was always timely. The drivers were courteous and professional. The cabs were clean and affordable. I highly recommend Green Cab!
