The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Storage units are clean and easy to access. They have carts for you to haul your stuff on. I give four stars because of the false advertisement posted on posters around the facility. In more than one place says “discount for you and your friend” but only the person that referred me actually got a discount. Another one outside that says “first month free” but when I asked about it he kinda beat around it. Seems like both of these should be offered and neither were so that was a little disappointing.. might have chose to go somewhere else that offered their advertised deals because saving a few dollars is always nice but didn’t have time to search around. Otherwise I don’t have anything else bad to say.

Great experience with Compass Self Storage, Madison Heights, MI. thus far. Nice, clean and well kept facility. I was in need of a storage locker due to my mother passing. It was painless and all employees that I interfaced with were knowledgeable and flexible to meet my needs.

This location was very accommodating to our needs. Jarred recommended if we needed a different size come the day of move they will take care of it for us.

My high rating is moreover for the customer service that is shown by all of the employees I have encountered here.The big thing I will put out there to people is the carts that are provided ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!There is no way to put things on them and not have them fall off. The parking lot and ramp going up to the entrance door to the facility, WHICH IS WAY TOO SMALL BTW, are so very, very bumpy and diveted. It does not help what is already a stressful situation.

Jennifer the manager is very friendly, helpful and made the whole process run smoothly. The space is clean and well maintained. They have pallet carts in the facility which cut down the amount of trips we had to take. Most pleasant experience we’ve had with a storage facility. Again, can’t stress enough how helpful Jennifer is, she remembered that we were coming from Florida a month after our original call. Definitely shows they care about their renters.

The manager Jennifer was so pleasant on the phone. When I went to view the unit, and met her in person. She made me feel like family!! I viewed a couple units and every one was clean...... We as customers are putting our personal belongings in here, till we find them a permanent home. So I feel secure knowing my belongings will be here and protected.

This company pulled a bait and switch on me. They advertised the storage unit I rented from them online for $66.00. This ad did not state that it was a limited time introductory offer. I visited the facility and Donnell Sanders escorted me to the unit that was available for the $66.00. During the tour of the facility I specifically asked Mr. Sanders if the $66.00 was an introductory offer. He stated that the $66.00 was the price. He did not say that it was a limited time introductory price. Mr. Sanders also denies that he ever told me that. He either doesnt remember or he was outright lying in order to get the new business. I had someone with me that day who also heard him tell me this and I know they have security cameras so if they play the tape back on that day you will clearly see that it was him to gave me the tour and I did have another person with me. They are now raising the price of the unit to almost double to $126.00. They should have been honest and up front at the time of the tour before I signed up and moved all my stuff from the unit I had to this one. As it turns out the unit I moved from is a better deal now then the one at Compass. If they would have been honest with me from the beginning I would never had moved from the company I was with. They were deceptive in their advertising as well as not being honest when asked about the true price during the facility tour.

Great Staff and friendly service. Every time I have visited my locker for items the atmosphere and cleanliness and superb.

I like this place a lot. Easy entrance in and out of the driveway. Had a couple of problems at the gate to get in but, not to bad, that us why I have stayed couple of years vs the months I originally wanted to stay. They run a tight ship. Neat, clean, havent had a problem getting a flatbed when I needed one. The building is well lit inside and does have security cameras. You need to use your code to enter and leave the facility to get to the units. You can pay for your units online., or you can call them in. If you manage to forget to pay, sometimes they will give you a courtesy call. And yes, the rates do go up a little more as you stay there. Friendly people.
