Dale Jacques is ethically compromised, and in my dealings with him, has failed to fulfill any of the professional duties that he had to me as a client. He is unprofessional, pushy, dismissive, rude, demanding, mean, unreasonable, and lacks a moral compass. His general attitude is that everyone, whether the client, or the workers he contracts with, most do more and more and more and fails to show the least bit of consideration for the stress that he puts on everyone else. His only concern is to close the few deals that come his way. In doing so, he fails to consider the best interests of his clients or any of the people that he thinks he can bully in a given transaction.First, the issues when I purchased my home in 2018 - it was a fixer, and I realized that there would be some work needed. However, he failed to do any of the duties that you would expect of a buyers agent:1) Having me use a home inspector that did not disclose material defects in the home, or did not properly identify them as substantive issues in the report2) Failing to advise me to request credits for the few defects that were disclosed that I should have received credit for. My homeowners insurance was quite literally cancelled a month after I sold, due to Dales and his inspectors negligence in advising me during escrow. I was only able to have a policy reinstated after I had a number of repairs performed, including foundation work.I must be a glutton for punishment because I was thinking of selling a few year later and reached out to him (but I made it very clear that I was only considering doing it if my home had sufficiently appreciated in value). He then ran some comps, and gave me an potential sales price. He also showed me a new listing a few days later - probably to additionally try to get me excited to sell and purchase a new place. I should have realized the numbers he provided regarding the homes value was just to convince get me to list.... when I spoke to my lender, he found Dales valuation to be highly questionable.Furthermore, during the process of getting the home ready to sell, Dale:1) Refused to fulfill basis requests that a client might make of an agent - such as running comps (after he had already given me an inflated valuation to bait me into selling), or removing the old listings of the home on the MLS.2) Advised me to hide cracks in a shower pan (which leaks into the wall!), paint over it, and not to disclose it to the next buyer3) Put high-pressure tactics on me, and the handyman that he put me in touch with, to get me to put the home for sale before it was in a good condition to list (due to him having his own personal deadline of moving out of LA).4) Double-dealed with the handyman - directing him to perform additional work outside of our initial agreement, without consulting me.5) Directed the handyman to work on a national holiday (against his own desires) - as if he was his employee (or his slave), and not my contractor6) Shared private things about my financial situation (and that of my parents) with the handyman, as a way to coax him to perform the extra work7) One day, Dale came by the home when I was not there and did not realize my security cameras were on (and recording) when he talked to the handyman. He spoke dismissively of me, about my relationship with my parents, about my financial situation. He was two-faced, unprofessional, and mean. It was at that point I decided I could no longer work with him.Later that day, I sent him a professionally worded email letting him know that it wasnt working out - but I thanked him for his time, gave appreciation for the work he did for me, and apologized for wasting his time. He then spat back with a nasty email which included things like, I really feel that you used me and my resources for your own gain. He also accused me of working with other agents behind his back the whole time (I had not).Dale is a bully, sleazy, and a failure both as a professional and human being. Do not use work with him under any circumstances.

Jenny and Dale provided us with extraordinary service in finding and buying our new home. We were new to the area and had never bought previously and Jenny was a fantastic help every step along the way in finding a home. I cant really overstate the value of her calm, practical advice. We worked with Dale through the offer and purchase process once we found our house and he was simply wonderful to work with and everything was always completely under control. We got just what we needed and I can not recommend them enough!

Jenny was extremely attentive, organized, and focused on finding the right fit for us. We were moving to LA from out of the state and were not familiar with the area at all. She did a tremendous amount of research upfront and sent us listings that we would discuss over conference calls with her. Doing so allowed us to narrow down the houses we looked at when we came to see them in person. We appreciated that she gave us her honest feedback on the properties and was really able to hone in on the right place for us based on our preferences.Once we landed on a house, she was on top of it from day 1 and made sure to keep us posted on the progress as it was a new build. She took care of all the contracting while making sure we understood and were aware of all the necessary requirements. She also represented us very aggressively and fought to get us the best deal possible.We would recommend Jenny to all of my family and friends and we will definitely use her expertise the next time we are in the market!

I would recommend Jenny to anyone buying a house. She listened and helped us find a home that fit our price point and space criteria. She looked out for our best interests and brought concerns to our attention that we didnt even think about. Jenny is also very well connected and surrounds herself with experts that share the same quality of service. She introduced to us our mortgage broker, Arin Dunn. They both made the process easy and smooth. She is expert in her industry. We trusted her fully. Jenny answered any questions we had promptly and professionally.

My husband and I worked with Jenny Durling twice, once when she sold the house to us, and then again three years later when we decided to put it back on the market. Both experiences were extremely positive. Jenny stays in touch. When we decided to sell, we would never have called anyone else. She is conscientious. enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and determined to get the job done. House sales are complicated and Jenny never let us down. She was there every step of the way. She is also a delightful person and a joy to work with.

Jenny is very professional, friendly, & trustworthy. She sold my elderly father’s home, which was in dire need of upgrading, very quickly and for a great price! Jenny found several buyers from the beginning, and did not even have to place the listing on the open market. Jenny also went above and beyond my expectations by helping my father; who was moving cross country, clean out, and pack his home. She is not only an excellent real estate professional, but a wonderful person as well! I could not have asked for a better Realtor! Thank you Jenny!

I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Jenny Durling. There were a number of complications with my house that made the sale difficult and I was out of state for the whole process. Jenny had to handle everything and she was simply amazing. It seemed like very time a problem came up Jenny had seen it before, knew how to fix it and had it settled before I could worry about it. After working with her for a short time it became very clear she was experienced, smart, pro-active and I could really trust her. It is very rare that I am this impressed with someone. the whole experience with her professionally and personally was stellar and an unexpected pleasure.If I ever buy or sell property in the L.A. area again Jenny will be my first and only call. If anyone I know tells me they are looking for a real estate agent in L.A. I will tell them to stop looking, I know the best person in the city.Bart R.

We enjoyed working with Jenny. My husband is knowledgeable in the real estate realm and interviewed several agents. He felt Jenny had the best approach and we decided to work with her. She knows the drill, was very helpful in suggestions to make the house more saleableand was able to direct us to some local service persons to help ready the house for the showing, since we live in Orange County. Jenny was proactive in planning a good strategy and then when the house went on the market, she took over the negotiations for us and contacted us with updates, etc. in a very timely manner. Bottom line, the house sold for a whopping $140K over the asking price. Her process was swift and thorough. Not only was she a great agent, she is a genuinely nice person!
