We had a tire losing pressure and we found this place. We just waited fifteen minutes in a quaint little waiting room where the chairs were so simple yet literally one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat on, more comfortable than office chairs or gaming chairs. They had a TV playing some crime show and free coffee. Once our tire was fixed originally the price was $25, but true to the name they gave us a 100% discount (free!). Great experience and tire worked fine after that.

After a few months of my SUV literally shaking and rattling every time I went over even the tiniest, littlest bumps on the road, I decided it was time to get it checked out. Enrique Molina was warm and friendly as he explained the repairs needed to get my vehicle back safely on the road. He indulged me as I negotiated (I negotiate with everyone) and in the end he managed to reduced the costs of my new shocks to a price that I was happy with. The service was fast. My ride is so smooth now, that Im wondering how I endured the torture of driving with worn shocks for so long. I will be back here again for the next fix.

Always gets me right in and out, quick service, great customer service, and always prints out; whether it be the alignment or what was fixed. Enrique was a lot of help last couple times I was there for a new tire. They always have mine in stock, usually they have to be ordered!

I came to Discount Tires Centers off of Highland based on a referral from another tire shop that could no longer get me in today.Enrique provided thorough service from start to finish. Before arriving, he quote me for the service price and installation time for a new tire via phone. Upon arrival, I was checked in and helped within minutes. Enrique answer all 1000 of my questions, took care of Pearl in less than an hour, and made me feel good about the investment I made. I received a great deal, along with great service. I will return to this location again if Pearl has anymore needs in the future.

Typical repair shop. Tried to get away with service/parts that was not approved by me. I was not offered any variables in the work that was done. Promised to call me back with an update, no one call for a whole day. It was on that day that they tried to pull a fast one. I am going over my bill to see if they have anymore charges.Good luck.

A nightmare on highland! Thats the best way to sum up my experience here at discount tires. I brought my car in because my brakes were squeaking for a while and I wanted to get a diagnosis. So last Thursday after I got off from working a night shift, I brought it in to figure out what was causing the squeaking. The CSR Noe said he would call me when he has a diagnosis. So I got a phone call and he told me what I expected, that my brakes needed to be changed. I drive an Alfa Romeo Stelvio so he said they dont have the parts for this particular car on hand because it is a foreign car. So he said he was going to make a call to see if he can find some brakes and then call me back. I told Noe that I will be going to sleep (because i work night shift) and he agreed to leave me a voicemail to let me know if they have found the parts and then I can come in before they close to make a decision on what to do next. Later that afternoon when i woke up and dropped in the store I was told by Brandon (another worker there) that my brakes were changed, and the mechanic Robert told me that my lights were on on the cluster and need to be reset. I was like... HOLLLLDDDD TF UP! First of all nmy brakes were changed??? And second of all, my cluster lights were never on so why are they on now. It was then I knew that they done messed up REALLLLY BAD! I could see that the break pads that they put on my car were completely incorrect. Brandon tried to tell me that my car was fine, (you know, the typical disrespecting me and undermining me because Im a woman) A black woman at that! He told me I can bring it back the next morning when the manager Emanuel came in so he can reset the cluster. So I paid the $635 and left bc I had to go to work. The next morning sure enough at 8am I was there right when it opened and I gave Emanuel an earful about the treatment of me and my car by his staff. I convinced Emanuel to drive my car with me so that he can feel that the brakes still werent working and that his staff had messed up. Emanuel knew what I was talking about So, he ended up taking my car to an Alfa Romeo authorized dealer so they can correct the mistakes that Discount made. This of course caused me not to have my car for a day and I had to spend $35 in Uber rides (which Emanuel said hed reimburse me for but I havent seen a penny) to get to and from work all because Discount messed up. The moral of the story on their end....dont touch a foreign if you have NO idea how to fix it. And for me I shouldve known better to bring my car to discount. I simply wanted a diagnosis and to discuss my options but I ended up with a distressing nightmare and after all this bullsh*t, my brakes are still squeaking.I want my money back for the cost of the brakes and the costs of the Uber!

Under new management, have been going there for 25 years. Things are a little different but still very good. 30.00 to patch a tire was a bit high but if you need them in a jam they are there.

Robbers.I went there after noticing that my rear back left tire was almost flat. Im a single woman from Indiana with Indiana plates. My tires we new. I knew I had ran over a nail, but the tried to make me buy a new tire, telling me my tire was bad. They tried to charge me almost 100.00. I was valuable and new in town and they tried to take advantage of me.Im glad I called Americas Tire. I took my car over there and they removed the nail and patched it for free.Shame on Discount Tire center for taking advantage of women and out of towers. Thats a bad way to do business 😕

I called about a slow leak in my right rear tire and was told to come in about noon. I did so and they refused service, likely due to my creative attire (miniskirt and heels). Not sure why I was told to come in if they were short staffed. I was in no particular rush.

Only the name is discount, but this place charges twice the prices of other tire shops. 50$ for a patch, and when they saw I had run flat they said it was $75? What a ripoff with predatory prices. Place was clean though and workers were very friendly so they get the 2 stars. Would definitely not come again

This place is my go-to for a long time whenever my car is running through a problem. My car is already over 20 years old and running and Mike has been phenomenal in working on my car. The mechanics here are honest and they will show you the problem and fix it. Go to Enrique and he’ll will take great care of you! Shout out to Jack, Fred and the whole team! If you have a problem or in need to change old parts for the best bang for buck, come over here. STRONGLY Recommend this place.

Was in a pickle and need a new tire to ensure the safety of our drivers.

Will never go anywhere else for my tire needs! The last few weeks ive been having tire pressure problems. I took it to 2 other places which just filled up my tires and sent me on my merry way. Upon arriving to DTC, Enrique was a breath of fresh air - his humor was much appreciated after having back to back negative experiences. They were super quick + did a thorough examination - I had a nail in my tire this entire time. THANK YOU Enrique + staff! Highly recommend.

Went in for a replacement battery, I had my old battery for 6-7 years. Mechanic looks at my old battery (which wasnt in good condition) for 1 second and says my alternator needs replacement because its overcharging my battery. I told him Ive had this battery forever and its just about the time it goes bad, after all its been 6-7 years. The mechanic keeps insisting on a new alternator($500 for alternator and labor) and the manager keeps agreeing with him even before the battery is tested. When I ask the mechanic to test the alternator, he comes up with every excuse not to test it, saying the alternator will damage the testing equipment designed to diagnose whether the battery is being overcharged by the alternator(I thought really? So the diagnostic tool doesnt do what it was designed to do then?) to the fact that the battery looks bad(its an 6 year old battery that needs to be replaced and isnt brand new) is clearly being overcharged so he doesnt need to test, to the fact that hes busy other people(He wasnt and there were 3 other mechanics mostly idle.) They both tell me that if I dont get alternator replaced then the new battery could explode and the warranty on the new battery would be void. They were really trying to hard sell me on a replacement alternator so I tell the manager I insist on a test and he instructs the mechanic to do so. Turns out the alternator works fine according to the diagnostic tool. Ive had the new battery for a month now and no problems so far with battery or alternator. These guys just tried to rip me off for $500 when everyone is already struggling because of the pandemic. Im definitely making a report to the Better Business Bureau.

I am new to the LA area and have only brought my vehicles to discount tire for all my tire needs. Enrique at the highland location has been tremendously helpful every time I come in. I recently visited this shop to have a set of brand new tires mounted and balanced on brand new rims, to have the TPMS sensors reprogrammed, and the wheels mounted to my vehicle. I will likely never return ..After getting home and unloading the old wheels, the TPMS warning light came on because they had forgotten to do that step. No big deal.However, a couple of weeks later I went to replace the silver lugs (that came with the new wheels) with some new black lugs. When trying to take off the silver lugs, I found that 13 out of the 20 had been overtightened and/or cross threaded.I took my vehicle back in and asked how this could happen and it was suggested to me that my alignment was bad. I told them that I had it aligned right after the install and everything was well within spec.Then they suggested that the lugs I provided were the wrong ones. That they didnt sit correctly in the wheel and/or that the pitch on them was not right. This was simply not the case as these lugs came with the wheels, specifically for my model and year of vehicle. I asked if the lugs were in fact the wrong ones, why would they have installed them in the first place? No answer.THEN they suggested that the lugs didnt tighten all the way down the posts, that they only went halfway, and thats why they had to tighten them more than normal to hold the wheel. I asked them to show me, and when they demonstrated this, they used a cross threaded lug on one of the bad posts. So of course it didnt thread all the way. I asked to try myself and I chose a different lug and tested on a different post, and it threaded all the way down to the hub, no problem. More awkward silence.After all of this, they still wouldnt admit that they most likely grossly overtightened them in the first place and when I pointed out the scratches on the wheels they made, they went silent yet again.So I asked them to replace ALL of the posts and to return the broken hardware to me. I also gave them a VERY SPECIFIC number when torquing down the lugs and they agreed to do that (89 lbf.ft). In the end, they only replaced 13 of the 20 (seriously, why not just play it safe and replace them all), didnt return all of the broken hardware to me, and when I asked what they torqued the lugs to, they said 125 lbf.ft.

Emmanuel the manager caught me on a bad day exasperated by a surprise flat tire, and was able to fix my tire in less than 30 mins and sent me on my way. Cannot recommend this place enough, they were so kind and incredibly helpful and fair priced!

Very dishonest and overpriced. There was a problem with the brake ONLY and charged sixty dollars, saying we had to REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER on the Prius V, it would cost me about 2,000 dollars? They are liars and frauds. I took my car to Toyota of DTLA, and it ended up being just brake fluid change. No Brake Booster Replacement. TRY AND AVOID THIS PLACE THEY WILL LITTERALLY SCAM YOU AND, ABOVE EVERYTHING THEY CHARGE $60 FOR INSPECTION. Respectful shops will inspect and recommend for free. Its a TIGHT KNIT GROUP OF THIEVES.

First time brought my car in. Had Nissan Universal run a multi-point inspection prior to, and showed I needed a new driver-side rear hub bearing. Went to Discount Tire Centers, and Jack was very helpful. Dropped off the car on Friday afternoon, was repaired Saturday morning. Price was well under what Nissan offered, and has been driving great since!

This shop was absolutely great! The gentlemen all were very helpful and the work was done in a really timely manner. I ended up really needing two new tires, and as someone who does not know much about cars/tires, I was nervous about the whole process. However, I was walked through the situation (what was wrong, why I needed the tires, what kind of tires, etc) with patience and detailed explanations, and given a great discount! I appreciated everyone’s thoroughness and kindness, and definitely will be coming back up here for work as needed!

I really only have good things to say about this place. They were recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to Los Angeles, and since then Ive found that its 100% true that they only do work when its necessary, they communicate with their customers about exactly what needs to be done, and the work is done incredibly quickly and efficiently without any markups. Its incredibly refreshing to have a mechanic who looks out for their customers, and I cant recommend them enough. I trust their judgement, and I hope you do too.

First visit here. Came in looking for new tires, as mine were pretty old and a bit torn up (one of them was actually a flat, too). Jack was very helpful and gave me a couple of quotes for different brands. The service was timely and thorough, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Went in for an alignment on 08/31/20 and now my steering wheel is noticeably off center when I drive straight. Called the shop today and explained the issue to the guy on the phone and his answer was: “it’s the road”!!!.. are you kidding me! Hopefully when I visit them in person they will resolve the issue.

Zane and his team did a fantastic job. Prices were very fair, everything was explained thoroughly and there were no hidden surprise costs, which is always a bonus. Will be coming back when I need to service my car again!

This was an unexpected GEM.I have been having car troubles, had my car towed to Discount Tire Centers and Enrique has been absolutely amazing with helping me.I have been overwhelmed with the issues with right tire. The tire literally exploded on the highway and damaged my alignment, the strut and the..something bar, forgive me, clearly Im not well educated in the mechanics.Enrique was so welcoming and cracking jokes to try to help me not be as stressed. Went in to have my tires balanced on Friday 8/2/19. The moment I walked in the shop I was greeted with a smile. A staff member immediately welcomed and assisted me. Within minutes I turned over the keys to my ‘98 Land Rover Discovery and I was out the door. Upon my return, I was given back my keys and made aware of a few things I found insightful about the condition of my truck. Shortly thereafter I was out the door towards my truck. These guys are awesome ~~^^I came in to get my 2007 Camry oil changed and get an alignment done.They treated me like I brought in a brand new Mercedes. Very courteous, prompt and price was very reasonable.$30 for the oil change $90 for the wheel alignment.Enrique at the counter gave me such a good deal on some tires; I ended up getting two new tires too. I mean $177 for two brand new tires put on; who can beat that?!^^Needless to say but I’m throughly impressed and they have a customer for life.^^Don’t get ripped off somewhere else, come to this place and ask for Enrique. Dont go here. Needed oil change, tire rotation because front tires were worn and back ones were a little better, plus coolant refilled. Paid $80 for a full synthetic oil change, I was told a tire rotation was included in price. Tires were not rotated, coolant wasnt refilled, neither was wiper fluid. When I went back to ask why they didnt refill fluids (a standard for anytime u get your car serviced) they refilled coolant but were out of wiper fluid. What the heck guys, now Im doubtful they replaced my oil filter.

I was surprised to see they have certified mechanics and offer the full gamut of services nearly anyone would need. Enrique gave me a great price in a town that is often overpriced & opportunistic, AND it was all done within an hour! I will be going back next month to get my balding tires replaced. Thanks guys!

This is my second time ( definitely not my last) coming here to this location, and to be honest, as a female who brings in her car, anyone could try to take advantage , however the staff there have been very trustworthy, friendly, honest and reasonable and I feel like they arent people who bully you to fix all the things on your car and rack up an expensive bill. They are truely professionals! Someone I can truely trust. When I find someplace that takes care of me, I stay loyal to them for life so this place definitely has a future customer for anything I ever need fixed!

I wish I could give negative rating to this location. The staff and the managers are all DISHONEST people. I bought tires 3 years back which should last 70k miles but after around 35k miles my tires are gone. I went to the store to ask for replacement, the guys are asking me proof of tire rotation. I did tire rotation to their location and they dont have a record of it and now they are making me accountable to have proper documents. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DEALING WITH DISHONEST PEOPLE. THEy JUST WANT TO SELL YOU CHEAP STUFF WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY AFTER THAT

They were charging me $400 for a wheel alignment, balancing, 2 tires and 2 were suppose to be free. I got the same deal literally minus 2 tires at my local mechanic for $135 and I saw the service and car runs great. One of there mechanics name of Mario was pretty brainless. Tony one of the main guys there was pretty nice and customer service was good for most part but some deals arent really deals for you if you understand me. Overall Ill stick to local family mechanics.

Way better than your average chain automotive shop. Cesar was easy to talk to and knew what I needed without issue. Labor rate is competitive and work seems to be done well. Ill be coming back when I need service done that I dont want to do on my own.

Great service. Tire replacement in minutes

I have been going to discount tire for 4 years now and followed them from their Sunset location. Jack is the absolute best and the only person I trust with my car!

So heres the deal- they were not clear that they did not have same make/model for my current tire in stock. Instead, the salesperson said I have 1 in stock which sounded great to me because I have fairly new tires, and replacing only one that was damaged sounded great to me.So in my daze of delusional optimism i agreed to go forward with the insulation under the assumption that they were in fact putting on an exact replacement for my tire. They were not. It was only after I drove off the lot and actually looked at my invoice that I realized they did not put on the tire I wanted. So yes I am upset, especially because it was not are all a problem for me to wait a day for them to order and get the tire for me.

Here’s another well deserved 5 star review for this guys. They are experts, Jaime immediately identified the problem with my car after driving a couple blocks. It was a bearing. They got it replaced in about 2hrs for a fair price.

Enrique processed my work order and had everything ready to go, so when I arrived it was an easy process and no unexpected fees were added. Most of the associates were friendly except for one individual who it felt was trying to intimidate me into doing more work on my vehicle than I was interested in today. Only complaint was being led to believe that the work would be completed within an hour and it took much longer.

I popped a tire and called the closest tire store. Enrique answered, told me to drive right in and he’d meet me.... he gave me a great deal on my tires (bought two/got half off of one). He said it would take an hour, an hour and a half because they were backed up, but Jose squeezed me in because of my circumstances. I couldn’t have been treated any better!!!

Had the front left wheel bearing on my 2006 Toyota Solara replaced here for $500+. It’s a bit higher than the average market price I searched on google but it was the only place nearby that opens on Sunday. Service is superb and the guys are very nice.

Got a slashed tire and was able to get it replaced, as well as getting an alignment, in less than 90 minutes. Previously purchased a full set of tires from these guys when on Sunset and years later they gave me some complimentary service just based on that.

Bought 4 tires no prob (actually gave a 5 Star review for that experience). Went back to repair what I was told was a “coolant leak” in the reservoir—agreed to have reservoir replaced, no prob. Get a call back 7 hours after dropping my car there (and only after I had called to check on status of my vehicle who knows how long it would have been ignored had I not called to remind them it was there) and was told that I must replace my radiator (obviously not cheap). Agreed to do this without getting a second opinion WHAT AN IDIOT I WAS! After they replaced my radiator and reservoir I drive away the next day and within an hour my coolant temp light is on AND my check engine light. I returned every day for FIVE DAYS after paying almost $800 to “fix” my car for random warning lights that came on only AFTER they worked on my car. Not to mention it OVERHEATED ON THE 101 FREEWAY after they so-called “fixed” my problem.A week and a half later I return because (surprise) the check engine light is BACK on and now they tell me it’s the water pump, needs to be replaced and will be $457 + tax. What kind of scam you trying to run here? I took it to a REAL mechanic, a genuine professional in Eagle Rock. Not only did he charge HALF THE PRICE you quoted to replace my water pump, but also told me that YOU should have done that in the first place and then most likely wouldn’t have needed to do the radiator. So THANKS FOR NOTHING.DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. GET A SECOND OPINION.

Fast, honest, good work. An old proverb says, beware of lawyers and attorneys (later my grandpa added, and doctors). Oh, well, Ive had my share of mechanics and was incredulous at first with Oris repair center; I said, Im a woman, how do I know that youre not exaggerating mechanic details? they shrugged their shoulders and continued to fix my car in the best way. I never had to go back for the same issue (except for oil change), and after a decade, I can swear they are the mechanics one wishes to have and rarely finds. Reasonable prices, prompt work, honesty, courtesy, they explain to the detail your cars problem and the solution they offer Thanks, Mike! Thanks, Paul!

Enrique was awesome! I thought I had a flat tire but turns out I needed a TPMS valve replaced, but he took care of me and I was in and out in no time.

The were rude when I walked in, the wait time for an oil change was 4 hours, when I went to leave I saw that I had driven over a nail in their parking lot. I had to wait another hair and a half, pay full price to replace the tire they had ruined and they broke off one of my lugs and refused to repair it or even give me a discount. Do not go here!

Good price. Friendly fast service. Ceaser went out and picked up 4 hard to find tires late in the afternoon, and put them on that night. These guys do good work...while so many other tire shops didnt come through, and couldnt be bothered.

Called and asked a simple pricing question and have been on hold now for 15 minutes. The guy that answered wasnt even friendly. Ill just get my tire from someone else. No Thanks!!!
