I live in the neighborhood and a frequent customer. Have been coming to your establishment for years, and I mean years. I have given you lots of business and recommended you to many people. BUT NO MORE. Tell you why. I was in your store the other day and being an older fella, my kidneys got the best of me and asked the cashier if I could please use the bathroom because I had urinate with the utmost urgency. I was told no. It may be a minor issue to you, but it is not to me. For a person to not be knowledgeable enough or sympathetic to a customer is not my idea of being humane.It may not make any difference to you that I will not, and the friends I will relay my story to, use your business again, but it does to me. The fact that your cashier cannot tell the difference between a person who is a good customer and someone off the street who just wants to use your bathroom and possibly make a mess of it is not an environment I want to be part of. I feel insulted and slighted and I just want you to know that. Because I own a business and would want to know if one of the people who worked for me practiced, such bad judgement.

Went in for a couple different types of screws and they didn’t have a single one . Not only that but there was one guy at the register who claimed he could not move to help me and one guy running the keys . No one else . I would think this place would have more items and be more successful to make the type of money to own a store on Venice boulevard. Wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t there much longer .

They had the grinding stone and the measuring square that I was looking for. The employee at the counter knew exactly where these items were. Thanks place is air-conditioned really well too. Its very hot for West LA at the moment, so this was nice.

Great small mama papa business all the employees are experienced in the home remodeling or any DY project.

This place reminds me of the neighborhood hardware store that my father used to send me to when I was a kid 50+ years ago. Its not a big warehouse type place, but it always has what I need, and the people who work there can answer my questions to make sure I get the right thing. There is a small parking lot in the back, and there are always spaces available along Venice Boulevard.

This place is dirty and overpriced.the manager is not a very nice guy.they seem to cater only to superlative wholesale accounts and shine the regular people that have supported this dumpy little place n kept it in bussiness. Great bussiness model JIMMY,JAMES! YOur dad should have never sold u this place.youve ran it into the ground buddy.FOR SHAME JIMMY

Hardware store employees are cool, know all of them by first name, there real helpful, were always BS when I come in for any project Im working on....

It is my family region, been going there with my dad considering that i was a little child. im satisfied they may be nevertheless round even with the brand new Lowes and domestic Depot in the neighborhood.Love this place! Deep inventory and beneficial and knowledgable body of workers.

Easy parking and plenty of stock for items you didnt know you needed! Staff are friendly and helpful.

Good customer service and had what I was looking for.

Really tried to give this place a shot by going in a couple times now and just havent had a good experience. Pretty rude and disinterested employee both times plus the 2 packs of batteries that I purchased on my second visit were both dead. I just gave up and bought them elsewhere. The selection is pretty good for a smaller store although I think the prices are on the high side.

Horrible experience. The locksmith (older guy) got frustrated that he couldnt make my key correctly and was throwing keys and then just insisted on a refund. I went to a competitor and the key was made easily. Ill never return

Everyone in hers is so helpful every time Im here. Amy, who helped me yesterday morning, is an absolute doll and so friendly and helpful. She signed me up with their membership program and explained to me all the benefits, as well as went beyond just that and told me about all the locations. She told me there is one by my house on Polk, but Ill likely be coming back here more then going over there.

You know, you gotta have a small hardware store in town. Big stores are good and all but a place like this is great. All the little pieces you need around the house that you cant find anywhere else. Good place.

Sexist and very unprofessional, rude service. I just went to get 2 rectangular pieces of plexiglass cut for kitchen cabinets. I gave the guy exact measurements and showed him the pieces are for fitting into a cabinet frame. He cuts the plexiglass and gives me 1 piece that is miss-shaped (the top is a bit bigger so it wont fit into my cabinet). Instead of fixing the bad piece or recutting, he said take it or leave, there is nothing he can do, and people use misshaped pieces all the time. (What!?) I had been polite and nice throughout the experience. There are other male customers in the store and I dont see them getting this treatment. I complained to the front desk but they didnt do anything.

Came here instead of B & B for household supplies.  u2028u2028Eventhough Dicks True Value Hardware is small, it makes up for it by providing service without a tude in a store thats clean, organized and bright.u2028u2028Pretty mellow and easy to flag down someone for help.u2028u2028If you want to avoid charity for the City of LA parking meters, whip around to the small lot in the back alley to park for free.u2028u2028Keymaster is in the rear of the store and cashier for the rest of the goods is in the front of the store.

Cashier is friendly guy who does do keys big attitude nasty no customer service super rude I ask him for a set of keys he gave me 3 sets got mad easily for over making extra keys it’s wasn’t my fault he does t have customer service I won’t come back
