I’ve been taking the used car I got to Hectors Auto Shop since I purchased it last April. I needed tune ups, parts replaced, basically everything! And they knew how to fix everything! Now my car is in way better shape then it was when I first bought it. Hector’s auto shop is my #1 go-to for all of my car needs and it should be yours too! They don’t disappoint!

Hector’s auto repair is GREAT! I just recently moved to the west coast, needed a place I could tow my car and get it serviced. Vehicle was having engine throttle control issues. Came across this business - read the reviews and went for it! Best decision ever. Hector is knowledgeable, informative and professional! I live two hours away from his shop , but once you find a good mechanic you hold on to it! I will GLADY travel two hours to him for any service my vehicle needs.

Gave me one price over the phone, but when I got there the price was 30.00 more. Started working on my car as soon as I got there. They werent busy. Couldnt get gas rode home on prayer and fumes. But Im happy with the work on my car so far.

Took a Subie in for an electrical diagnostic and came back in 2 days, no more electrical issues and a code sheet of all the things that were wrong inside the carThere were about 16 issuesCould have been there for weeksIll definitely come back

I was web surfing around for transmission rebuilt prices on a average and I was told by a lady at this shop that they don’t give prices over the phone I informed her that I don’t live close by so that’s why I’m utilizing the internet but she wasn’t trynna hear it.... Guess she doesn’t realize it’s 2020s and things is way easier to communicate and get needed info via internet and this will effect their ratings.

We brought our Jeep for AC repair and waited for someone to acknowledge us. Finally Hector the owner told us to back up let a customer out. We pulled back inn again being the ones next be service, two other cars came inn right after us but yet Hector comes out and right in our face he skipped us and goes to the customer the came in last. The was pretty shady waited for service standing in the sun with our kiddos.BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Just left us while he left for a test drive with the other customer the pulled inn last.We only came here because of the good reviewsSupposedly. I would give it zero stars for the badCustomer service NEVER AGAIN GOING BACK!

I usually get my work done in Chatsworth, but have recently moved to LA. I completely blew my engine in my FRS. I was nervous looking for such an expensive repair in LA, BUT LET ME TELL YOU! They handled me and my car amazingly. The receptionist was straightforward and extremely friendly. The mechanic did not mind answering all of my questions, and was extremely patient with me. They even washed and DETAILED my car and it runs amazing ! Now where do they do that at, that’s priced that good? I will forever take my cars to Hectors. Can’t thank them enough

Very , knowledgeable and professional ...Honest? So I thought!!!! I will never go here again. I had work done on my sensors. A few months later they were no good. Notified them they gave bs information claimed i had problems that didnt exist, after i provided 2 diagnosis. Picked up my car after they claimed to have corrected their failed repair work and another problem showed up on the diagnosis that was not there before so they voided the warranty but all of that was because they didnt do proper work the first time and they wanted to weasel their scam ways out of a legitimate claim when I provided all of the paperwork. To add insult to injury when I asked to see or pick up my original parts that they claimed were damaged I was told no and they texted me pictures unbelievable!!! scam artist. run from this place they are not honest completely dishonest and I trusted them in the beginning thats whats so disheartening to me I really thought I found a new place for my car.

My car drives soooo much better. Thanks to Hector and whoever else worked on my car. Also special thanks to Ms. Maria, the lady who works their front office. She was so friendly and helpful.

Took my mini here few times. Tom always try to save my money before I spent too much to fix my car. But I love my car and decided to spent the money to take good care of it. They did a good job fixing it and it totally runs better than before. They are good and reasonable with their prices. I highly recommend it!

They are high and over price.... They tried to over charge my ppl for their repair .. they gave him a price for oil pan leak .. the first quote was 5000 then 3500 ... He went and got the car repair done for 1800.

I WAS GOING FOR A BEER IN A HOT DAY AND I TOUGHT I WOULD FIX THE OLD TOYOTA MATRIX I STOPPED BY HECTOR HELPED ME HE CHECK THE AC AND TOLD ME THAT MIGHT BE THAT WAS OUT OF FREON SO HE FIX MY CAR 2004 TOYOTA MATRIX THANK YOU HECTOR

Awesome Service, Great Prices. I had an engine check light on, came in, Rob and Tom did a diagnostic and told me its the thermostat and its not a big deal, they reseted the light and told me if it comes back again, come in and well change the thermostat.. They also have great Service A and B prices...

Have had my cars service from him for 16 years. He is straight forward and will tell you if your car needs work or not a whether the cost of fixing it makes sense or not. Overall, I am happy. My only suggestion is to show up early for service because they are always busy.

I had the most amazing experience. Hector was honest, friendly and fair. After the service on my 2002 ES300 it ran like brand new. Friendly staff and the service was done in a timely manner.👍👍

2nd generation mechanic, with boat loads of experience. You dont get this kind of service just anywhere. Local Mechanics take their customers cars to Hector when they cant repair let alone diagnose their cars. Top notch and well worth the wait and money.

I went to request a quote to diagnose whats wrong with an airbag light came on. after a few minutes of waiting they explained that can not give me the requested service, because if i tell you whats wrong, you are not going back here to have it repaired.i told them that i will pay $$ for them to diagnose it, not fix it.they say can not do that because thats confident. and i was -.- ok. i will never come back

I have been coming here for the past 10 years and never had a problem with my car needs. I recently came in for an oil change today and my previous visit was a brake service. Maria, the receptionist was professional and was greeted right away when I walk in. I had seen the owner and he recognized me and said hello. My previous brake service cost me my whole paycheck but I use half of my savings or stimulus check for that purpose. You get what you paid for and the at end the day the results come out great. If you go to a street mechanic you get what you paid for and the results come out bad. Your choice. I’m happy a customer and love coming here.

Kinda. Pricey.. Found another repair shop saved 600$. My benz is back on the road.. But nothing bad to say about hectors. Maybe hell work for u.. Didnt for me.. Staff was nice service was not bad just over priced.

As a woman, I feel often times we get taken advantage of by mechanics. I have been going to Hector for years. They always tell me how to save money and whats best for my situation, even if that means less money in their pockets. Truly an honest business.

These guys are wonderful. Honest and fair prices. For once, I didnt feel that I got taken advantage of at the mechanics. Hurray! They didnt carry my wiper blade size and told me where I could get them close by. The only negative is the waiting area. There really isnt one. But just head west on Geary and there are plenty of coffee shops and a bagel place.

Great thing about them is they have good prices. Worse thing about Hectors Auto is they refused to give back auto parts which they changed out in the car. I find this unacceptable, especially when it is requested and belongs to you.

Some one tried to break in my car and they instead broke my key whole . The guy working their was extremely rude and said that they would have to take the whole door apart and just for inspection it would be 50 dollars. He then said use your head or you can go to the dealers Anyways, I said he needs to work on customer service. I left. I got the work done at another shop for cheaper and the lock smith only dealt with the key whole not the door itself. -.- I am so glad I listen to my gut.
