Its a decent place to live while undergoing transitional housing assistance. As far as staff, you have your good ones and some not so good. The food is decent, however, they offer a lot of junk food during the breakfast hour. The primary dinner cook is well versed at making dishes that are flavorful; however, Id strongly suggest using less sugar when preparing the meals. Decent living quarters and I appreciate the structure of order there.

They were closed. Even though the hours posted on the door said they were open until 4:30. But I have been there a few times before and I was satisfied with my decision to go.

Well when the snow hit I was desperately in need of food Im a working man and due to the weather we were out of work I was told with angerly to call back next Monday?!? So I guess if it was up to them I would have starved. Wow what an unconcerned way to respond to someone needing help . And this place has been given 5 Stars ?!? That a lie not my experience I thought if I needed help I could go here but that wasnt the case.

This place claims to be for vets yet they need permission to help vets , its dead smack in the middle of a high crime dope infested neighborhood. Theres no rehabilitation where habit is infesting festering and lurking around every corner and the program absolutely doesnt care they urine test and breathalyzer test for purpose of hoping to catch you dirty just to kick you out and replace you soon as possible then months later youre allowed to re enter . This is a hustle for the VA to not only get back money you earned by working but also to take money from you to keep you dependent on them. If a person has nothing but the clothes on their backs and breath in their body and you give them a supposed to be free job and help but you take more than enough of their income and more than whats disclosed in the total fee of the program then how are they to rise above and over come that which they are wanting and need too.

St Francis House has been a true God-Send for me! An organization truely devoted to assisting Veterans who need a hand up, not a hand-out! Very thankful that, in my time of need, St Francis House & its wonderful group of dedicated staff members were here, ready & willing to help!
