I, by no means, know how the staff operates with the clients who live there on a daily basis...but the facility was clean and organized. The people that I interacted with were positive and discussed new jobs that they were preparing for. We were there serving one of the Thanksgiving meals. The staff was courteous and never talked down to any of the residents in my presence. I will seriously consider having my son to volunteer on a daily basis when he comes of age (they have a program for community hours).

They want a person ssi to work full time to be able to enter the shelter. The man did not want to listen after he was told twice that

Its pretty cool until they start doubting you saying youre not ready to leave, and the fact they still allow people that fail drug test live there. They have given me that extra boost I needed as a single mother but I think if they had better workers like Mr. Carl and Stanford it would be a lot better they NEVER let anything past them. The gaurd shack is never watching or paying attention.

OUR HOUSE is HONESTLY THE BEST!! At everything that they do. Our House is a community of loving caring people who genuinely strive to see you get on your feet and make the best out of your life. If your tired of being in the spot your in make a change and go to our house!!

I been here at Our House for 7 months now and its not your own place but its a substitute. You can take your child to the daycare thats on site so you can look for a job if you dont have one or if you do so you can go to work. Im in the Family House which is more independent living but its still in the shelter vicinity. You can and have to save a certain amount of money every paycheck. This place helps you get on your feet and get independent again. Its the best shelter in Little Rock. Thank you Our House for what you have done for me and my family.

I am grateful for Our House and its many caring staff. Stanford, Carl, Michelle, and Drew- all give residents the love(sometimes tough love) and support needed to save money and move on in life. The only people that last longer than 16 days are the ones truly serious about changing their lives.

This facility has a most excellent program. It is an asset to the Pulaski County community. If you genuinely want to get on your feet, they give you the tools to succeed. Wish there were more programs like this statewide.

The daycare and career center are awesome but the shelter however is probably good If you dont have kids. You share a dorm with other women that do not have children and they complain a lot my kids and I are also getting out out over petty stuff.

Its a good place for a fresh start. Pay close attention to the rules, stay focused on your goals and remain humble...the staff are helpful and the Career Center is a great resource...the experience is what the individuals make it

This place saved my life I was a meth addict for most of my life. When I went to our house it was a miracle from God. They helped me get my life back. Now I am 2 years clean!!!

Volunteering here is one thing. Being a resident here is s completely different experience. They have ridiculous rules and treat you as if you’re in jail. A lot of the staff are humble. Some of them forget where they came from and speak to you any kind of way. It’s funny bc they act as if people aren’t already at the lowest point of their lives just to treat them like they are in a damn prison. I personally wouldn’t recommend living here to anyone. I would only volunteer Bc the residents here still need encouragement and someone to show them a better way. I’m sure the staff at the career center are different. Matter of fact I’m positive that they are. However they aren’t the ones running the place at night. That’s when the craziness starts. Not sure I’ll. R doing this much longer. They don’t reLly care, it’s a paycheck and it shows.

I feel they advertise a good helping center for all of the above but in reality its worse than a prison. My sister and my God baby Got kicked out of their place over some stuff that didnt really add up. A lady by the name of Michelle didnt even try to help her find somewhere else to go after she dismissed my sister and God baby. Unfortunately Im not able to help my house is full. Its just sad how a business supposed to help those who are in need and they turn around and kick people out. Its sad Ill never recommend this place ever again I swear to God. Thank God their both safe thanks to a family member.

A very helpful place for the homeless, single people as well as families. There is skills training for the jobless, this place is a handout to get you a handup. Hats off to you

A few weeks ago I signed up to volunteer and lets just say first impressions is everything. No one was welcoming, no introduced themselves.....I just expected better from this place. It was an event for the community to come out and mingle with one another and I really wanted to be apart of it. Once I got there I had to walk around the campus for 20 minutes because there was no directions or signs where to go. Luckily I seen children playing outside and I followed them. I stayed for a about 30 minutes and left, I felt out of place and horrible. At least they doing something for the community but they dont provide a welcoming atmosphere for individuals like me to come and help out.

If I could choose negative stars I would, I stayed for exactly one night. Would of stayed longer if it wasnt for bed bugs. Also the way staff and clients treat individuals with special needs.you first check in hearing all of these paid sponsors wonderful stories of our house only to be treated as a criminal. Timed meals, timed showers, also timed breaks to step outside. You have to be in the building no latter then 6 pm and out of the shelter no later then 8 am. So you are so if having no vehicle. The ladies dorm just a warning they are savage against children of special needs quoting such verbal harrasing remarks. Obvious remarks. But I doubt one has slept outside and truly embarking on how to be homeless, when I exited that morning I told the staff quote un quote I have a better chance sleeping on the streets. So take it as a grain of salt our house is not that great.

They are doing a good work here.

Ourhouse has been a life saver to our family and without them we would not have succeeded in overcoming homelessness. Even the staff is compassionate in understanding your needs and there is no excuse for you not to succeed there are many opportunities at OURHOUSE for anyone who wants to help themselves. Be BLESSED !

Dont waste your time with this place if you cant get job within 21 days they put out on streets with no where to go ppl will steal the shirt off your back there if you let them

The Our House staffs are very great and they showed their hearts for the Homeless people and it was not for me because I dont have any problems like an acoholic and drugged homeless people there and it was not a good fit for me. I am sorry to say that .

Best place to get your life back on track.

Its what you make out of it. When I was there most people were on drugs and really mentally ill. Its a good program I was there for 3 months then got an apartment.
