I will always take my BMW X3 here! Staff is amazing. Worked with my extended warranty carrier and that isn’t always an easy task. - Honest! Would not put in a fuel pump that was not a genuine BMW part. The extended warranty company sent a general/universal fuel pump to be put in my BMW and Bennett Motor Works refuse to put it in as it was not a genuine BMW part. He explained what can happen if that fuel pump was put into my car. After many phone calls from Bennett to the warranty co., the extended warranty company decided that Bennett was correct and sent a genuine BMW parts to be put in my car. That ! Is taking care of the customer ! Thank you Bennett Auto!

I had quite the list of jobs for these guys, and it was done exceptionally well. Ive been dreading getting the valve cover replaced, and they did it without any issues! My car is performing so much better, it sounds and feels like it did years ago. I felt completely heard when I put forth my concerns with the maintenance/work that I knew my car needed. These guys listened and carried out the job in a professional, high quality, and timely manner. Very knowledgable when it comes to BMWs. Prices are very reasonable too. Overall, theyve definitely earned my trust.

Good experience here. Have a mini cooper, the check engine light kept coming on. It was at another place for a week and they werent able to figure out what was going on with it. Brought it to Bennett and they figured it out pretty quickly. People were easy to work with.

Bennet Motor worked on my x1, changed the valve cover and gasket. They did the job, but cause more issues to my vehicle.. My car would hesitate and studder at 1500RPM.. I had to drop the vehicle back off to them. They had the vehicle for a week and couldnt figure out why it was doing it so they recommended i bring it back to BMW to get re-programmed. Long story short the bill from BMW was over $5,000 to get my vehicle fixed, and redo the valve cover because Bennets was defective. My car ran 110% perfect when i dropped it off to Bennet.BMWs NOTE: All defects in vehicle are signs of missing coil ground connection. At some point the valve cover ground cable were installed incorrectly causing defects.Upon letting Paul know the outcome, he was very rude and stated BMW mechanics dont know what theyre doing and real mechanics work at shops like his... But yet BMW had to fix my car for his faulty repair?Paul would only compensate me on the Valve cover $440BMW Owners - I recommend looking else ware for repairs or stay with the professionals at BMW

I have taken my cars to Bennett Motor Werks for about twenty years. The quality of service is outstanding, and there is no issue that they cant handle. It is family run, and I cant say enough good things about the shop, quality of the work or the family that owns it. Dont be put off by the building or shop. It is not a hotel lobby, but a true mechanics shop. The focus is on your car, not on fresh flowers and a magnificent waiting area. And, the prices are very reasonable, so if that is important, go to the Winvian for drinks with the money you save.

Paul and his team are the best. They do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, and for what they predict it will cost. They are good at diagnosing what you need and look our for your wallet. For example, one of our cars was getting worse than usual mileage - I asked if we should put in new spark plugs, even though they werent yet due to be changed. Paul countered with changing the air filter, which did need to be done.

TERRIBLE!!!Unfortunately I am unable to rate their service as I didnt receive any. This place came highly recommended by the man that sold my BMW to me. I figured Id give it a shot. I made a 2 PM appointment and was there by 2 PM. I walked in and there was a man and a woman sitting behind the counter. I walk up to the counter and nobody greeted me or said anything. I finally said I have a 2:00 PM appointment for an oil change. The woman behind the counter said okay. So I stood there looking at her waiting for further direction and she didnt say anything to me. Finally I said do you need anything from me? She said just your keys They were already on the counter so I said okay thank you and took a seat. After about 5 minutes The woman shouts from behind the counter can you come back at 4 PM?. I got up and walked over to the counter and said well Im pretty far. It took me about 35 minutes to get here (in a very polite manner) The guy who was behind the counter was upset at my response so he said WELL SHE IS GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR! Yelling at the poor woman behind the counter. She said I know, I told her that Which she didnt really tell me that. I figured they might be trying to prioritize which jobs to do first and since I had an appointment and traveled pretty far for an oil change I thought they could squeeze me at my already scheduled appointment time. I guess that was too much to ask. I was working from home and couldnt be gone for 3 hours so I just said I cant wait that long, Ill figure something else out I regrettably slammed the door a bit on the way out but I just wasted an hour for nothing and was a bit upset. I was extremely polite and didnt appreciate the lack of customer service and the attitude from the man working there. The poor woman was so quiet it seemed like she was scared to talk in fear of what the guy would do to her. Definitely do not recommend this place! If I could give negative stars I would.

Bennett Motor Werks has been our go-to mechanic in Litchfield County for 24 years. As weekenders from New York, we used Paul for all of our automotive maintenance on our Audi A4 after getting a referral from a good friend and neighbor who was very particular about his cars. Paul is old school, friendly in a flinty New England way, and he can come across as gruff, which some reviewers have commented upon here. Yet Paul is a fantastic mechanic, as honest as the day is long, and he has saved us a lot of money on unnecessary maintenance that the dealer would have been happy to charged us for-- over and over again. That is why you see so many BMW, Audi, Porsche and VW owners come to see Bennett Motor Werks again and again. Highly recommended.
