Best rental company I have ever dealt with. Not only are they very responsive and helpful when you have any problems, but the office staff are a delight as well. I will probably never buy a house and just continue to rent from them, that good.

We inquired on a property set up a time to see the property the next morning. We showed up 10 minutes early and was met with a no show. Itd be nice if theyd atleast have the decency to call or reschedule. I also strongly feel that they have people fill out apps jus to collect rapp money. They the most unprofessional n i advice people to be careful with this company.

Wayyyyy better than HIP, thats not saying much but still. RD has some of the most fair rental rates in Lincoln and generous rental contracts. We just started year 2 in our property and they arent requiring us to sign a lease again but arent raising rates for month to month. This is so nice! Had an issue with our fridge, fixed same day. Had an issue with our water heater, fixed same day. Its nice having a company that is responsive. I really hate HIP.

First of all, I couldnt be happier with the decision to rent for RD Hinkley! From apartment showings to application process, I give this great company a 5 star rating. Kelli, was awesome! I dont understand the negativity towards her, she is so sweet and kind. Thank you Kelli for making this process less stressful for us, and for going an extra mile to make us even happier.I am beyond satisfied!!! Definitely recommend. I scheduled a time and date to see a rental property but I was never even given the opportunity to complete this as R.D. Hinkley & Associates had rented it out the day before my scheduled showing. I am more than qualified to rent this or any property of my choosing and was ready to give them my completed rental application at the time of my showing. They did not even have the common curtesy to cancel the showing I had scheduled with them, nor did they let me know that the property I was interested in had been entered into a rental contract. I will never inquire on another property with this company and will warn any and all of my friends and associates of such poor customer service and satisfaction. Good luck to anyone renting or considering renting with this company in the future.

I had a slight problem with my deposit, they called me Monday and it worked out fair and they were willing to work with me on it. Very happy about that. They do leave you alone as long as you pay your rent which i like! The staff are nice people too!

Ive rented with them and never had an issue with them. Always have attended my maintenance issue promptly. All the staff is great and friendly. Chad, Kelli, Venita. Very good customer service. Going on my second year renting for them and hopefully many more. Thanks guys!

I have rented from very well established management agencies, so our family had high standards to meet. We have been 100% satisfied! We have been having Air Conditioning issues, and not only are they replacing the entire AC unit, they brought us two brand new window ACs until the replacement happens. Very friendly management staff as well as maintenance staff.

As our Landlord they are very good at getting things fixed right away when we have plumbing problems and replaced our old water heater with a new one on the same day that the previous one broke down in our home we rent from them! Great job with maintaining your rentals RD Hinkely and Associates!

This no mannered gal by the name of Kelli. Has the audacity to yell and belittle tenants.She has No manners, she also has no clear description of what buildings allow what. If you claim to be a manager, you better know your stuff. Otherwise youll get served. Unprofessional be You also dont hang up on customers, you stay on the phone and you handle it.I live at 1701 Normandy circle, all the neighbors has either a cat or a dog. clearly in their contracts it says no pets, yet we have one 8 ib Yorkie that visits every so often and were the one who would get complaints on having a pet over. but when I bring it up that all the other neighbors have a dog or cat she says I can say yes to them and no to you, what?!!They dont do a damn thing about the other neighbors. Theres 8 units here 5 have pets. But their contracts says no pets allowed in building. Tell me if thats not discriminatory.This young lady has to be stopped. Clearly was not raised with manners, we will be reporting them to BBB due to her own doing. This Couldve been handled differently but u put an idiot with no manners to talk to a customer, your business will go downhill with complaints. Would never ever hire someone like her, shes lucky she has a relative that runs the place. Otherwise, shed be at a call center dealing with credit card collections. Please bless this girls soul.Btw we Do not miss payments we also mind our own business, never a peep to complain about anything, and there were many chances. we fix our own apartment issues. But this turd definitely got me going. Hope this gal treats others better then she did with me. Others wont handle it as well as I wouldve.

Ever since R.D hinkley has taken over my apartment building i havent really had problems except with kelli she is so disrespectful when it comes to tenants being right and her being wrong. My landlord trys to fix my stuff but he a very busy person so its rd hinkley to pick up the slack. For the last 3 years i have dealt with my kitchen wall not being fixed due to flood and now my bathroom ceiling not being fixed due to flood. They schedule a time for maintenance to come the first i cancelled because i had the flu the second time they came to see what needed to be done he said he come back another day so we can move things from kitchen. I spoke to Benita and ask her to call me ahead of time so we can clear out the kicthen because we need the kitchen. She agree to call ahead of time now she changing what she said and that they would charge me for him coming out and i said no u was suppose to call me. She lied and said she didnt so i ask to talk to chad or kelli and kelli proceeded to argue with me and hang up on me 3 times and tell me my wall n ceiling is not a obligated n talk over me n etc yes i argue back because i dont appreciate how she spoke to me.. its always a hit and miss with them when its comes to getting along or not.

Terrible service. After multiple complaints you might be able to get some help but the job is always half-assed and they hire the cheapest bidding contractor. If appliances go out you get salvaged replacements IF they ever send someone over. Refuses to fix serious safety concerns because thats why the rent is cheap. Pathetic.

Most abhorrent and revolting company Ive ever rented through!!! Its been almost three years since I ended my lease with them, but I still feel it necessary to drop a nasty nugget of knowledge about these guys if that tells you the degree of anger I still hold against them for one of the most horrible experiences in my adult life so far.When my previous renters announced a hike in rent my gf and I decided to find another place. With a young daughter and new puppy in tow, we decided a house would be preferable if possible. We found a house through R.D. Hinkley at 25th and B St for a very fair price (we later found out why). When we went to the open house, nothing seemed immediately wrong with the property so we signed on and got the place.Upon moving in we immediately had issues. The place was left absolutely filthy. The biggest issue was the air quality. The place had an acrid foulness to it that wasnt immediately noticeable at the open house, but if you spent more than 30 min in the house you would start noticing a gross film developing on your tongue and throat. I soon developed a horrible cough that plagued me for the first 4 weeks living there. I had to personally scrub the place top to bottom myself, spraying anti bacterial/viral/fungal agents in the basement every day while running air scrubbers I had to buy out-of-pocket. When I brought this up to the lady at Hinkley, she treated me with almost obscene disrespect, acting like I was either making it all up to try and get one over on them, or that I was simply imagining the issue citing, Well my friend was the previous tenant and she didnt have any issues. That was her response to a very real health issue. My daughter was born with a lung abnormality and had to have one of the lobes of her lung removed shortly after birth, so we werent messing around with this. We had to send her away to her grandparents to live and she was never able to move back in while we lived there. I brought in a separate mold and air quality surveyor to check out the house. Since I couldnt afford an actual mold/air quality test and Hinkley refused to pay for it (probably because they knew the property would get red-flagged if they did) he wasnt able to give me an officially diagnoses as to the problem, but he stressed to me before he left that I needed to move out and there was a real issue there.That spring we also had heavy rains, and during this time the basement flooded as reliably and the Nile before the Aswan dam was constructed (yes, it was that bad). It took them over a month to finally send their maintenance company (also, yes, they have a whole separate company who handles their maintenance claims and it still took over a month), and what did they do to handle this? They literally brought in a truckload of dirt and piled it around the foundation which looked just as trashy as Ill get out.When the Blackhills dude came to check the furnace and light the pilot lights for the furnace and stove I asked him, Hey how old do you think that furnace is? He laughed to himself for a sec before responding, God, that thing is probably from the 30s or early 40s. and then kept laughing. It was horribly inefficient and the monthly energy cost reflected this, not to mention all the insulating wraps on the ventilation system were still made of asbestos, yes thats right asbestos. So after moving out they kept the majority of my deposit. When I called back to see if this was correct the gal at the front desk said, God Ill have to go back and check, that property isnt even under our management anymore. This communicated to me that this was an on-going problem-property for them and, after me, they had decided to finally wash their hands of it. Well after my experience Ive decided to wash my hands of R.D. Hinkley and I would recommend the same to anyone looking to rent in Lincoln. Honestly, just the worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Awful, Awful, Awful. Dishonest, terrible service, terrible people.
