RCO did a beautiful job cutting & installing our granite countertops. A pleasure to work with.

Used these guys a couple of years ago to install quartz in our kitchen. Got a new project for them and I cant even get them to return my calls. 2 messages over two weeks without a call back. How do you make money if you arent willing to quote new work. Seems like they may be out of business now....

Absolutely the worst people to deal with over the course of several months. We contacted them since they are one of the few Merillat dealers in our area. We got a guy to come out, Chuck, who seemed knowledgeable, took measurements, and created drawings for our pantry upgrade. We selected cabinet styles, backsplash, and various other aspects. We were given in short order a decent price. After some number of weeks, since we had to get the rest of the addition on track, we circled back. Chuck no longer worked there, and we went into the office. Rene and Tony Baumgartner walked us through the various issues, and ended up coming out to the house for additional consultation. We discussed many issues, including countertop material and even went and looked at different options at a local material warehouse. Sounds pretty good so far, right? Well, then we got another message from Tony wherein the price was wrong. He increased the price by $1000. We werent happy about it, but decided to live with it. After getting a small delay, Tony told us that he no longer had all the information, because Rene was no longer with the company, and she took her files with her. So, I looked through my emails and found that Tony had all the information and had sent it to me. I pointed this out. He insisted that his Fabrication Manager, Andreas Reynoza, come out and take a look. Andreas showed with another guy who either didnt speak English or was incapable of speaking more than a couple of words. To this day, I have no idea who he was or why he was there. I showed Andreas what we currently have (Merillat in the kitchen), went over the details yet again, and he said he would get back to me. He never did. I finally emailed him, and he told me he would get back to me in a couple of days. That didnt happen. I emailed him again, copying Tony. Tony received the email (the miracle of return receipt on my email client), but never responded. Andreas finally responded saying he was out of town for a couple of days (FYI, it was over a week of no response). The last several times I tried to copy Tony on the email, his company email address bounced as not deliverable. Finally, Andreas got back to me claiming that the cabinets we selected are the classic vs. the masterpiece and that there would be price difference, unless we wanted something that would quite match. What? After multiple people out here, they finally figured it out? And, of course, he never even bothered to answer the questions I asked. Trying to follow up with Tony, I went onto the RCO website and filled out their contact form. Sure enough, Jeff (last name unknown) called me. The first thing out of his mouth was that he would not be honoring the contract, that it was null and void, due to all the confusion. He seemed to not to have any regard for our time, our hassle, and our schedule, basically saying that the new price would be significantly higher, assuming we even wanted to have them come out and bid. I would strongly recommend extreme caution when dealing with this company. They put on a good face initially, but everything after that is chaos and confusion. The cant seem to hold onto their employees, and assuming Jeff is on the management team, they have a lot to learn about customers.
