Had to write a review after the wonderful experience I had here. Over the weekend my car started making an alarming grinding sound when accelerating. I felt I needed to get it in to be looked at soon but only a handful of places were open so I took a chance on this place. The receptionist first told me itd probably be a week until they could get me in. Then one of the mechanics heard our conversation and said he could take a quick look at it now just to see if it was anything serious. He ended up identifying and taking care of the issue (a loose part) right then and did not charge me the fee for a diagnostic because it was a quick and simple fix. I really appreciated that they squeezed me in even though they were busy, and that this mechanic took the time to drive my car around and look at it to identify the problem so I could be on my way. I was driving from Iowa to Nebraska and my windshield wiper sprayers werent working. It was after a big snow storm so the road were very wet making driving without windshield wiper fluid very dangerous. I stopped by and they cleared out the ice from my sprayer, topped off my fluid, and filled my tires. I asked how much I owe them and said it was free! They saved my day.

David, the owner is a talented mechanic and honest to deal with. Thoroughly explains the options available for a particular situation, and will give an expert opinion on what his view is of the best choice, but always respects the owners decision! Have always been satisfied with the work done. Large or small projects alike.

Diagnosed my vehicle problem around 3 weeks ago and was told they would order part needed. But after calling past 2 weeks in a row they never gotten back to me after saying they would check on part and still havent heard anything. So total of going there once to check and calling 2 separate weeks in a row. Going to go elsewhere.

I blew a tire at 730pm. Tow truck came within 45 minutes. They called right away with what could be done and made it happen while working with me on what I wanted. They had my cat back to me later that night. Great business and highly recommend to any one who needs a vehicle worked on.

Bad experience! Overcharged me. They originally told me it was a $49 service charge then told me it was $99. Then they told me I needed a software update among other things. I called the manufacturer and there was no such software update. After both of those lies it was hard to trust them so I tried telling them I just wanted my vehicle out of there but I was unfortunately at work so I couldnt go get it right away. They assured me if they just replaced two spark plugs and two ignition coils I would be able to take it back to Omaha, I got a ride there after work and they tell me its not drivable. Unbelievable rip offs. Got charged $305 for just messing up my car worse. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We brought our car in for repair I was told it would be $1,600 . Which I understand since it was going to be all the routers and all the upper arm to the tires but after that when the guy called me he mentioned something about me needing new tires I agreed had him call my husband the price went to $1,950. We paid $1000 to get the car started this was a whole month before Fourth of July our car was finally done about three days ago it took them that long to fix her car and they kept telling us it would be done Friday and every Friday they kept saying it wasn’t ready yet so next Friday and they had us like that until it was finally done we were annoyed and stressed but we didn’t care we wanted our car when we went in to pay the $950 we have left to pay they said that we had to pay $2000 more they are such rip offs they change the brakes I didn’t even know they were changing they didn’t even tell me how much they were charging me for those brakes we obviously didn’t want to pay for that but we had to get a car out but please don’t go to those people they are going to rob you blind take forever to fix your car and they act as if they do nothing wrong it’s a horrible horrible place to go to I paid more to fix my car than what it really is worth!

Highly recommend. They are life savers! My husband and I broke down on a Sunday with a radiator leak. They were open even on Sunday, and started working on my car as soon as they were able. They helped me to find places to spend the day, as well as hotels around in case we needed to stay the night. They were able to find a radiator, even drove out to Omaha to get it, when all the other auto shops told me they may not be able to find one until Monday or Tuesday. They repaired my car all in the same day! We were able to get back on the road that night, and continue our drive to upstate New York. Really above and beyond service. Dave is the best!

They took care of my car. Gave me a pre quote of what the vehicle repairs would cost. Was able to drop it off during the day and they were done with it the same day.

These folks knew I was traveling and they did all they could to get me back on the road as soon as possible!They did nothing without permission and clearly explained their process to deduce the issue. After repairs were completed, a staff member picked me up from my motel and gave easy to follow instructions on how to drive back to my motel.I have nothing but good things to say in regard to my experience with this company!

This is hands down the greatest bunch of people I have had the pleasure of being stuck with.. We broke down in our Race hauler in Route to Tennessee from Wyoming, they treated us better than family. Got us back up and running on a vehicle they were not really set up to work on, but they knew they would fix it and they did. 30 years in the Drag racing world traveling all over this country, these folks went out of their way to make sure my family and I were taken care of, and back on the road safely. And were extremely fair in the cost, when honestly they didnt have to be .

I had to stop by on my way to Iowa to get my car looked at because it was shaking it was definitely something new anyways i stopped there and once the mechanic showed up he immediately took my car and started diagnosing it they didnt find anything wrong with it in the end but from start to fiish they treated me with hospitality and respect and got me back on the road and to my destination.

I have had my truck here for about 6 months, they told me they’d fix it right away. Still isn’t. Every time I ask about my truck they lie and say it’ll be done within a week. The parts needed were bought brand new (by me) but they recommend I buy parts from them, claiming they’re bad and don’t work. “24 hour auto” but takes months to fix one truck. When I ask to pick it up they say they need to close up parts. Highly recommend you save your time and money by going elsewhere. This place is a scam.

I don’t know anything about car repairs but have trusted and taken my car here for years. I was quoted over $1000 for labor. My friend who does know about cars quickly realized I was being taken advantage of. I asked them to take my car off of the lift and that we were on the way to get it. When I got there it was still on the lift and they were suddenly trying to barter with me. We came with a flatbed and as we were loading the car I realized I had a big dent in the back of my car. This whole process of me trying to get my car back into my possession took a long time and I called to ask if someone could come out to look at the damage on my car. I was told they were too busy so I asked if there was a cell phone number I could text the damage on my car to. I was given a cell number which I texted the photos to and off we went to the car parts store with a mechanic friend. My car was fixed in less than an hour and it was less than $100 for the part. I was out the towing and diagnostic costs and I have no idea how many thousands of dollars I’ve been taken advantage of over the years. I always thought they were very nice people and I trusted them. I received a call saying the damage wasn’t possible and there was no apology when I explained how little time my car needed to actual be repaired and how the part was a lot less expensive. He was very argumentative on the phone and I had planned on calling the non emergency police to make a report about the damage to my car. I did not want to deal with the stress as I had a lot going on in my personal life so I did not file a report. This happened this summer and I didn’t want to write a review while feeling emotional. This is many months later and it’s been on my mind. I worry for others that take there car there and felt it was fair to leave this review. I am someone that has only written positive reviews. I started taking my car there because they are open 24/7 and because they offer free towing if you get your car repaired there. Being in a bind at times made me think this was worth it but I was so wrong.

Although they weren’t available when our motorhome was towed there, they drove to our hotel to pick up our keys, diagnosed the issue as soon as possible, replaced our water pump, and made it possible for us to continue on our trip. We drove 900 miles the next day and the vehicle ran flawlessly. They made a follow-up call to make sure our vehicle was running well and thanked us again for our business. We highly recommend based on quality of repairs and customer service!

I had a great experience with 24 Hour Auto, they accommodated me, even though it was very close to closing time. They even offered me a ride home which was very nice and thoughtful. They contacted me in a timely fashion, regarding the work that I would need, to get my car up and running. They had it all done in less than 48 hours, considering it was the weekend. Dave, Carol and Jeff were very courteous, knowledgeable and polite, in my dealings with them, not to mention affordable. I was in such a bind- having a WAY too busy schedule, when my tire continued to deflate. A friend recommended 24 Hour Auto and THEY WERE FANTASTIC. I am a teacher, and couldnt sneak away, so they towed my car and were able to fix the tire, speedy quick. I could also afford the price, which had me in tears. THANK YOU 24-AUTO!

I was driving cross country from Colorado to New York state in late June, 2020, when my 1990 Miata (purchased days before in Colorado) started having engine trouble the morning I left Grand Island, Nebraska (tachometer spiking, then falling with loss of power), on a Saturday. Its difficult to find an auto repair shop open on a Saturday with a real diagnostic tech on hand - most only seem to be open to change oil. My son found this place for me and they said they would fit me in. They have a real, highly experienced tech (Russ) who was methodical about finding the source of the problem. Experience counts with a 30 year old vehicle - very little help from the computers in these older cars. He was able to narrow the problem down to one of three electronic components in the engine, but after hours of diligently trying to trigger the issue again to pinpoint which part was at fault, he was unable to reproduce the problem. The manager, Dave, also took it for a long drive to try to reproduce the problem at highway speed (it had occurred on the Interstate at about 70 MPH) but the engine was behaving fine. The tech explained that sometimes older components are flakey when cold but ok when up to temp theyre ok, and it seems like this was happening with my car. The tech and manager were both very good at taking time with me to explain the situation, which I appreciated as they were busy with other cars and customers. I decided to continue the trip although no parts were replaced, and fortunately didnt experience the problem again. After hours of carefully examining the car to try to pin down the failing part, they only charged me about $50. I would recommend them as I was treated more than fairly, and despite the car not cooperating while being diagnosed, the tech showed his experience and expertise in narrowing the problem to three possible parts and giving me his expert opinion throughout the time I was there. I was of course concerned about taking my car to a place Id never been during a cross country trip with engine trouble, but I am very thankful that my son found 24 Hour Auto Repair for me. That night, Dave even called to check on my progress. That was unexpected, but kind, and shows the caring attitude I encountered at the shop. Thank you Dave and Russ!

Everywhere else told us they were too busy. 24 hour auto shop was busy but they squeezed us into the schedule. They were very accommodating and the building was very comfortable to wait in. Cannot recommend 24 Hour Auto Repair enough. Ive been having a puzzling issue with my truck for months now and had been to 5 other shops, all of which could not figure out the issue. They had the issue diagnosed in less than a day and fixed in a couple days. David was really helpful and patient, even when I called multiple times a day to ask questions. Thank you guys so much!!

I was on my way to Wyoming from Michigan and my radiator broke. This ship got me in first thing in the morning and even gave me a ride to the hotel I was staying at. Very nice people and are able to get me back on the road before I have to rent another room which is great for me.

My car was making a horrendous squeaking noise when braking so I assumed it was the brakes. Took it to another mechanic in town and they assured me the brakes were good for another 5k miles. A week after that, my car is now squeaking when driving too and driving me batty. My coworker always talks up 24 Hour Auto so I decided to check them out. They identified the problem as the brakes and then got me fixed up quick and at a decent price! That was the first time since I moved to Lincoln that I didnt have to chop off a limb to pay for a repair. The staff was so friendly and patient with my lack of car knowledge; they definitely made visiting a pleasant experience despite it being such an anxiety inducing matter. Well definitely be bringing both our cars back if we ever need anymore work.

I would highly recommend 24 Hour Auto Repair to anyone who has car issues. Being 22 and currently still in college I was a little anxious about taking my baby, a 2009 Pontiac G6, in for a quote. I called ahead to see if they had time to look at my car and give me a quote on the repairs that needed done, and I was told to come on in (I would recommend setting up an appointment or consider it if you are crunched for time). While I was waiting for the news on my car, I lounged in their homey waiting room. After a little more than an hour, I was brought out to my car, with complimentary coffee in hand, and informed that nearly all my car issues were easy fixes. They corrected all of my car issues at an extremely reasonable price and even took the time to call in a worker from a local body shop (TOUCHUPS INC.) to quote me on the paint damage that was done to my car. The price I was quoted shocked me, in a good way. It was half of what I was expecting to pay. When everything was said and done I walked away 100% happy I went to 24 Hour Auto Repair instead of anywhere else. They are personable and reasonable people to work with. I am proud to say that I will be going to them any time I have car troubles. If you are looking for friendly, comfortable, and affordable auto repair 24 Hour Auto Repair is all of that and more, but don’t take my word for it. Next time you have car trouble check them out. My boyfriend and I, and our pup Chloe all broke down 60 miles outside of Lincoln Nebraska. I found 24 Hour Auto Repair and called just praying that we would be able to make it the 60 miles before our car died. Carol answered the phone and with in 6 minutes she had us a tow truck on call, a hotel to stay the night, and directions on where to get off the freeway when we finally broke down. Tow truck was quick, service was more than excellent and caring. I cant thank these people enough for all of their hard work and just amazing service. This whole staff stayed up after midnight to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Thank you to everyone and please make sure you use this great company!!!

First of all, I have never experienced such customer service from anywhere,let alone an Auto repair shop.They were so willing to help us with everything. From the free tow to their shop to the free labor on anything they found that was very needed to replace or fix. They did not try to gouge us on the prices. We have a nation wide warranty on our Transmission that includes parts and labor for a year.They even washed our car and cleaned the inside also.I am disabled,but I used to be a Mechanic,and I know how most places treat you. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these people. You will find David & Carol sincerely in caring about you and your repair needs.I can see why AAA voted them the best repair shop 3 years in a row.Having to have your car repaired is never fun,but these folks will make it as painless as possible. Ive been going to 24 Hour Auto for several years. The past couple of times I have been disappointed. Carol & David are extremely nice people and I enjoy talking with them, however, I believe they overbook themselves on a regular basis in order to serve as many people as possible. Yesterday I took my car in because it was leaking oil and I assumed the drain plug needed to be replaced. I called to make an appointment because I would be going near my lunch hour. I waited for an hour before they came out and told me it was leaking oil and the drain plug needed be replaced (I already knew that). I was shocked that they hadnt done it already, a job that should take no more than 20 minutes. I waited another 35 minutes before they said it was done and just needed to fill out paperwork. I waited another 15 minutes before they were ready to check me out. Its frustrating when you call ahead to make an appointment for something small and it take 2 hours out of your day. Very nice people but Im unsure if their business is efficient.

Was out of town for business, and had an a/c compressor lock up, a broken pulley, basically I wasnt going home until it was fixed. They did an excellent job, and was very quick.

Went in to get a nail removed from my tire at 10 pm on a Sunday, both the front desk and the mechanic were very polite and helpful. My car got taken in right away and was done very efficiently. Plus, it was only 15 dollars. I thought theyd up-charge for convenience, and Im so happy I was wrong. Bonus: FREE WIFI!!!!

After my car broke a tie rod, I had AAA tow my vehicle. The shop was recommended by AAA, so I had it taken here. Big mistake. This was on a Thursday. Despite being 24 Hour Auto Repair, they told me they may not be able to finish it until Monday. I said that was fine, I was going to be out of town over the weekend and I would pick it up on Monday. Monday came, it wasnt finished. And so it went for the rest of the week. On Friday, I told them I needed it done and was told explicitly it would be ready to go by 8:00pm. After walking to the shop (a little over an hour from my place) it wasnt done. Because of this, I missed a bus I was supposed to catch that night. I was told I could get it the next morning. I was dropped off by my wife on her way to work at 2:00pm the next day. And then, just to add insult to injury, I still waited another hour for them to finish up. All told, a broken tie rod took nine days and just shy of $700 (with all the suspicious additions to the bill) to fix. Wouldnt bring my car back here if it was free.

Thought highly of this place until I came to get my car and pay the invoice. Employee and owner were so inconsiderate I cried in the lobby. So worried about leaving at 7 PM instead of at 10 PM the actual closing time. Rushing me and telling me Im not allowed to do certain things with MY car. Wont be returning. They dont understand the connection I have to this 8 year long best friend (my mustang) and didnt seem to want to care. Cant trust non compassionate people with my car.

They were able to do an unscheduled pre-sale inspection on a used car for me when they were booked solid. Not only that, but David took the time to call me later (without a salesman around) and offer some solid advice that would help me negotiate a fair deal on the car. $50 inspection saved me about $300.

I’m on the road traveling through when my rear end goes down and I limped it into Lincoln. Inquired about service on my vehicle, which the lady at the desk informed me that they were over a week behind, which I understand. But when I asked if she could recommend where else I might try, she just gave me a blank stare and said “NO”. VERY unprofessional and not helpful at all. And very openly indifferent about the bind I’m in.

My vehicle broke down at my daughters place and when the tow truck dropped off my car 24 hour auto repair said they would have it ready by Tuesday at noon after having to replace the ignition casing. Sure enough, my car was ready to drive at 1210. They did an excellent job and I now have somewhere and someone I trust to work on my car. I would recommend them to anyone.

24 Hour services all my vehicles and does a great job

I stopped here in the middle of a road trip when one of my headlights stopped working. Having switched the bulbs myself the day prior, I figured it was an electrical issue and called several mechanics in the area, asking if any could diagnose and fix the problem in a day. None except 24 Hour Auto Repair said they could and 24 Hour Auto Repair got the job done in about half an hour and free of charge.

We (neice and myself - 2 women) were traveling across country from California to West Virginia and started hearing a noise on the vechicle. We were recommended to go there by the Walmart tire center in town, because they could not help us. When we first called they couldnt see us for a week, we explained to them that we were traveling, they said to bring it in, they would work us in, got there first thing in the morning, super nice, test drove the vechicle, found nothing wrong, but we felt so much better after having a mechanic look at. And they moved the luggage carrier on top.of the vechicle, that had shifted and we had not been able to budge. So helpful, generous and made the rest of the trip easier because we had peace of mind. Great people - go see them!

I would highly recommend this shop. David and Carol are very nice and helpful. Our car had a tire blow out and other damage while traveling through Nebraska. We are always hesitant when needing to take our vehicle somewhere out of state for fear of being taken advantage of- not only did they fix our vehicle in a timely manner so we could get back on the road but they made sure it was safe for our family of five to drive and they found used parts to help bring the cost down. Also, they waited around for the tow truck and my husband to arrive on a Sunday evening. The cost to repair was very reasonable and we are so thankful for their excellent service. We were also able to stay in a hotel nearby at a special rate because of their shop. Thank you David and Carol!
