Zach & Jillian were extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. Any questions I had were answered almost immediately and we had a great experience with the entire team while we were searching for an apartment. I would highly recommend Timberwood to anyone moving to the Lebanon area!

I recently moved into Timberwood Commons and have had a very positive experience to date. Jillian was wonderfully responsive throughout the application process and has been a true delight to work with since. While, thankfully, I have had no apartment-related issues, I have enjoyed my conversations with the staff members. Zach has been warm and welcoming, and Deb truly cares about each and every one of her residents. The whole team goes above and beyond to accommodate, and I am very glad I landed here!

This place is very shady. They charge $100 to be on a waitlist then offer you units $500-700 over the advertised price and give you less than 24hrs to make a decision.

Ive lived here for over a year and love the quality. The Timberwood team is friendly and responsive! The clubhouse and fitness room are great, and there has been free professional yoga 1-2 times a week. I have a dog and there are designated dog buildings, which is great, plus a little dog park. Every issue that has come up, has been quickly addressed by the staff. And its close to the Boston Lot trails too! Im so pleased, I just signed another 14-month lease.

My husband and I have lived at Timberwood Commons for the last year following an unexpectedly quick move to the Upper Valley for my husbands work. We needed a place to call home while we shopped for a house (ultimately we decided to build). It has been a wonderful experience. The complex is well-managed, the apartments are comfortable and our two-bedroom has been plenty spacious for us, there are lots of amenities for residents, and the location cant be beat. We will miss living here. A truly awesome first home in the Upper Valley.

We enjoyed living at Timberwood Commons since it was built. Debra is fantastic to work with, quick response to questions, and wants the best for the tenants and community itself. Tim and Timothy is the service team. They are both fast and efficient in their response to critical and non-urgent issues. There are many positives to living here. There are 6 buildings for tenants and we live in one of the smaller buildings. Per our building/experience, it is a quiet hallway, no dog barking, no cigarette smoke, and no loud parties. You can occasionally hear your neighbors walk or laugh but it depends on how sensitive you are to noise. It is a 3 minute drive to DHMC and a 3 minute drive to Centerra Park (RVC gym, co-op grocery store, state liquor store, and pharmacy). Short easy drive during heavy snowfall to those 2 locations. After living here for several years, our family is growing and we are finally purchasing a house. We had a great time at Timberwood and will be sad to go!

I overheard Debra, the Community Manager, going above and beyond to resole a noise issue for two neighbors. She resolved the problem in a most sincere and Solomon style that satisfied both parties. I have never heard of a rental manager caring so much about residents - but this is typical of the way the management team works at Timberwood. Thank you for caring about us.

The area is nice and the employees are very nice, I also really like going to the club house and socializing. I do have to say, very poor insulation when it comes to noise. The walls are paper thin and I can hear everything the neighbors say and do through the shared wall of my bedroom. Very noisy neighbors next door and above where I live. I can hear doors open and close, I can hear light switches being flicked on and off and I get the pleasure of listening to my neighbors pee. I also have a neighbor who likes to yell over the phone for hours after midnight on weekdays. It’s as if only a curtain is dividing us from each other. Way too expensive for the way this place was built.

Timberwood Commons has a most convenient location - minutes from Hanover & Lebanon NH, the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and I-89 & I-91. Shopping, food, services abound very close.Facilities and amenities then add to location to make a long list of reasons to live here. To begin with, we needed a furnished apartment, easy access, and some temporary storage. Done to beyond expectations!Truthfully though, location, facilities, and amenities come far behind the MANAGEMENT. Debbie Violette and her staff are helpful, helpful, helpful. They make getting in and settled as easy as can be expected. She knows people at key vendors that make utility hookups a breeze. IF you have a maintenance item it is promptly FIXED. Debbie and her people make Timberwood a fantastic place to live. No doubt, no question.

The stuff is amazing! I have lived here for five years. Its not cheap but it is as professional and well kept as it gets. The management here is what does the place. They are responsive, kind, helpful and professional. I love it here. Anything I need gets attended almost right away. The place is clean and very well maintained. Cannot say enough but highly recommend it.

I initially had a few minor issues with the apartment and the property. Overall, its a nice place to live and the management is very responsive.Management recently installed NEST thermostats to help residents manage their energy use better. This helped to thwart the extremely high rates for electric in the winter which can yield very costly bills. I also like that they added functionality to pay your rent online.

Nice facilities in general, the most expensive apartment complex in the Upper Valley area. I have several very negative encountering with the leasing office though during my time living here.

2 years and so happy to be here. Quiet residents (no loud parties/music/barking), safe (both inside and parking lots), management super responsive. Clubhouse is a daily pit stop for fresh coffee and is starting to be used by residents more socially. Yoga now 2x a week (!) and gym has been updated again w/new machines. Its nice to see that money is being re-invested in the place w/upgrades and not just cosmetic amenities for residents. Cant beat the location to highway and walking distance to DHMC, supermarket-free local public shuttle stops in the driveway. No one in the area has as much for professionals. Once you get here, itll be hard to move to the other housing projects in the area.

Ive lived here for four years now, at first with my husband, then with my cat and now with our son as well. Weve grown our family and moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom in our time at Timberwood Commons. I was pregnant at the time so they even offered to help us move which saved us so much time and money. Theyve gone above and beyond to make our experience here the best that there is with apartment living. When heating rates doubled, I talked to them about how our Nest Thermostat (smart thermostat that can be controlled with your phone) had been saving us money- what did they do? They installed one for everyone in the complex. Amazing. My advice to anyone living here or moving in is that you go to them with any issue or request because theyve been exceedingly flexible and helpful to us at every turn. The apartment itself is beautiful, new looking (even the one we moved into that had been lived in before us). We had a baby and kids living above us and rarely heard the softest of a baby cry if you were listening carefully and, having our own infant, my mom ears probably only heard it because of that. I initially worried about our babies cries at night when we transitioned him to the crib but our neighbor swore he never heard a peep (as we were sure to make sure this didnt disturb him). When I was pregnant and couldnt walk up stairs because of complications they modified our ground level apartment so we could walk out of the porch (by installing a door) so I could get to my car without stairs right to my car- 10 feet away. Made it possible for me to leave the house on my own which was a lifesaver. The property management has always been incredibly friendly and helpful with every question, request and transition in our life. As my husband graduates his fellowship soon, we will be moving soon but will be sad to leave as finding another apartment with this kind of service is likely impossible.

I will start by saying I was dead-set on choosing this apartment complex, even after multiple coworkers warned us about rude service when they tried to look at apartments here. Now I have seen it for myself, and based on my experience, I will say dont even bother. Emailed twice. No response. Called twice, (during business hours with no answer), and left a voicemail. No response. SHOWED UP and were told they dont have an apartment to show us. Very odd but ok. Had to ask if there were any coming available. After talking with Debra about apartments becoming available this summer she was supposed to contact us about looking at those residents apartments two days later. Almost a week later, and still have not gotten any sort of communication, even to say that they couldnt reach the residents, etc... If this is the kind of service you get before moving in, I would be scared to live here. I was really hoping that I could prove those who told me to avoid this place wrong. Needless to say we found somewhere else.

Pros: Location is good. Close to bus stop.Cons: VERY EXPENSIVE 1) Claimed as Luxury apartments, but definitely not. 2) Heating bill during winter s higher due to improper insulation, not very energy efficient apartment. 3) You can hear noises through walls. 4) Washer /Dryer are small and ineffective 5) Carpet is very cheap quality and during move out, they will rip you off. 5) Due to expensive apartment, it may be difficult to find another tenant, if you are breaking the lease.

I really enjoyed living there and I think for the most part it is a great place, which I would definitely recommend, but there are some things that could be better...including the price, which is definitely on the high side. The Good: The apartment, grounds and club house are beautiful and well maintained, as are the exercise facilities, which you rarely have to wait in line for. The location is lovely with trees all around and there is a bus stop right at the entrance of the complex (for FREE local area bus service!) which is really handy. There are also bike/walking paths to take you to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Clinic or the Co-Op Market, which are close by. It is also close to both Hanover and Lebanon, with easy access to the Interstate and that makes it very convenient to get to anywhere around the area. The people who manage and run the place are wonderful, helpful and responsive to resident needs, plus they go well beyond the usual to make living here full of little pleasures — like free coffee and cookies in the club house; Holiday events; painting accent color walls in your apartment and generally just being really nice and helpful — they are the best part of living there. There are outdoor and indoor parking facilities for extra rent that can make winters more pleasant. They allow dogs in some buildings, but are very restrictive about smoking, both of which I am in favor of. There is a surprising amount of storage space in the apartments and you can pay additional for storage in one of their indoor storage rooms for residents.Could be improved: These are advertised as luxury apartments and in my experience they really are not...they are EXTREMELY noisy and you can hear your neighbors, both above, below and beside you doing their everyday things — like walking, talking, doing laundry, dropping something on the floor, etc. The kitchens are well equipped and have plentiful storage for their size, but the counter tops are formica and the bathrooms are fitted out with cheap cabinetry and fiberglass bath/shower units. The carpeting is also low-grade and as it is a lovely, light color, has a tendency to get filthy fast, even when removing your shoes when you step into the apartment. Because the carpet quality is low, shampooing it removes the dirt, but leaves the carpet looking a bit ragged. The roads that provide access into the complex can get very busy at times in both directions making it a bit noisy and causing a bit of a delay.Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment complex if you have the financial resources to afford it. While the turnover can be high due to many students and per diem medical staff residing in the complex, there are also those who have stuck around for several years and although the residents are generally young, focused and very busy, they are also usually friendly, interesting and pleasant neighbors. And, the staff that works there cannot be beat.
