Ive been going to West Bay Clippers since moving here in 2014. It was right around the corner from where I lived. My hair is VERY fine and my hairdresser there does a fantastic job every time! Plus in 6 years the price has only recently increased by $1! I now travel 5 miles to get a 10 minute haircut...

I walked into this business with high expectations considering I looked at all the reviews and only saw a few bad ones that seemed too picky.. wish i would have listened to those reviews or had another stylist.I can’t speak on the other stylists there but I had Liz..Or maybe it was Lynn? Idk I was so rushed.I don’t even know where to begin. I have a short pixie cut and just wanted the sides and the back tapered a little.. she used clippers, which is fine but she was so aggressive it hurt! I was only in the chair for roughly 5-10 minutes and left with my scalp sore, patchy hair, and hair ALL OVER ME. This is not only the worst haircut i have ever gotten, it’s the worst I’ve ever seen! She spun me around to look in the mirror and although I could tell she brought it up WAY TOO HIGH, I asked if she could blend it for me.. her response was “if I blend this, it will have holes” which makes absolutely no sense to meIt was patchy. She didn’t dry my hair after “texturizing” it to see how it would lay or anything. & she took the cape off, dumping all the hair she had cut off, all over me.. I went home, thinking it was just me, and blow dried it to see how it would lay.. I was distraught so I thought I’d give them a second chance and call them to see if someone could help. After explaining the situation and asking if there was someone who prefers to cut short/ men’s cuts, the gentleman on the phone responded with “well I’d say all our stylists could do it but you seem to have an issue. I can’t guarantee who we’ll have available” I will say this was not the manager.. they weren’t in at the time.I honestly thought I was going to have to shave it all off but luckily i went to another salon to have someone fix it. Again, I don’t blame the entire salon but that lady should not be doing hair!!

Great people and they did what I was looking for my hair. Thank you Brian see ya in the fall.

We usually go to a barber on Indian Rocks Beach who does excellent mens hair.When we walked in, the place was very clean, customers looked happy - I overheard someone saying theyve been going for years and that was positive.However - when it comes to salons and barbers, the quality of the experience will vary depending on who you get. If I ever use this location again, big if, I would ask for Bryan.The woman we got wasnt very polite. She was combative from the moment I asked her if she was trained for mens hair. She said Im a cosmetologist and Im excellent with mens hair, with a very short, almost rude, demeanor. Not a very good first impression. She wasnt wearing a mask at all. Everyone else on staff was.While I observed her, she was very rough-handed with my 9-year-old, barely said a word to him when asking him for repositioning, and he left the place with a frown and very red skin.I asked that she would use the texturizing scissors. She said she didnt need to. I asked her to edge parts of his hair line more and each time I asked for a little more off she would just act very contradicting and I said you know what, lets get someone elses opinion.She called for Bryan, and very pointedly remarked I need your eye balls to make sure this haircut is to the mothers satisfaction.Rude. Rude. Rude. Rude.In comes Bryan, who agreed, she needed to edge the hairline more to match the other side of his face - which she would have realized if she had taken the time to look at him in the face - front and center like every other professional hair stylist does when they are finishing up. When Bryan turned away, she literally took 3 seconds to snip off a minuscule amount of hair that no where nearly satisfied what her own coworker said didnt look right and took the drape off my son as a finality that she was done and that was it, she wasnt taking any more requests.To the owner:1. I communicated very clearly what we expected. She did not want to listen, she was not professional about it.2. I asked for someone else to verify, something the owner advocates in his responses here to other unsatisfied customers, which I was looking at while she was doing a bad job.3. The owner was not present at the time. Every other staff member was busy, including Bryan. I wasnt going to stand there and continue to combat this woman in front of my child before we left because that sets a bad example.We tried to make our needs known and flat out there is no excuse for the way she handled the situation.I was just fed up at that point and had enough. I tipped her $2 out of obligation, normally I round up to $20 so she would have had a $9 tip if she did it properly for an $11 cut.Meanwhile my poor kid is sitting there red, rushed, in pain, and the hair was taken up WAY too high near his ears. She didnt bother to remove each side of my sons face mask temporarily to make sure the hair by his ears was consistent, she just shaved around the band and it looks TERRIBLE. I dont post public pictures of my son on social media otherwise I would show how badly this job was done.What would normally be a very good experience at a shop that otherwise features excellent reviews, comfort, vibes, and location was just completely soured by this staff member, and upon looking at other reviews, it seems I wasnt the only person who had this exact same experience with possibly the same woman. I firmly believe if we got anyone else today that we would have left 5 stars. Everyone else left smiling, nice color, nice hair cuts.Looking at the responses from the owner, it doesnt seem like they take responsibility for staff professionalism and simply state to just speak with someone else (which we did.) I would hope he takes this seriously, tell Ms. Attitude to wear a mask, and when someone asks for something as simple as texture sheers and edging, she can take 5 minutes to do it instead of sitting down out front of the building on her cell phone the way she was when we met her. Thanks a lot.Otherwise, this seems like a great place.

New girl there, Tall, blonde, very slender, dont know her name. I requested a cut no shorter than half way over my ears, collar height at the back, I ALWAYS keep it moderately long. What I got was shorter than a business mans cut, just above the ears on the sides, so tapered in the back my hair isnt 1/2 long there and nearly 2 inches above the collar. Havent had it this short since I got out of Vietnam (no pleasant memories there!) and swore to God I wouldnt have it that short again! NOT HAPPY AT ALL--- WONT BE BACK!!! What a shame, too, was going there for at least 7 years and never a problem since I only get a cut 3 maybe 4 times a year. The following is an amendment to my above review: This evening after showering and washing my hair, I noticed what appears to be thinning streaks running vertically due to the way she used the electric clippers. THANKS FOR NOTHING, LADY!

After calling and making sure they do ladies cuts I walked in for appointment I expected a wait since I was a walk in and after 30 mins waiting for a trim I was passed up by a gentleman and 2 ladies because they couldnt do a trim they were doing mens cuts... Really if you say youre able to do ladies then how in the world is no one able to do a simple trim nothing fancy or hard just a trim .... Never will I return or recommend...

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. Quite frankly I dont know how they stay in business. I went in with my son to get a haircut, told the ladies how to cut our hair. The top of my head is so uneven, I NOW have to spend more money to have someone else fix it. The older lady had a total attitude, telling my son to not run his face on the cape because he may get snot on it and other people have to use it, then proceeded to call my son a cry baby! I seriously dont know how youve got the reviews you got, because it was definately NOT our experience. I WILL NEVER GO BACK and will NEVER recommend you to anyone, only the suggestion that you learn how to cut hair and at least have the ability to listen and being personable. VERY UNHAPPY NEVER AGAIN CUSTOMER.
