The difference youll receive from Bruces is professionalism, honesty and expertise we didnt see at the others.My Subaru was performing poorly and had exhaust issues. When I brought the car to Bruces they examined the car and called me. The conversation upon their inspection is what sold me - a CLEARLY detailed look at the car and honest explanation that was informed by years of experience.Nobody likes paying a lot to get their car fixed, and I sure didnt either, but the work they did was FAR below what I expected I would pay. So when you have to cough up some $ to repair your car, you love to have it done quickly, efficiently, and ideally with a warranty (which they offer).This will undoubtedly be our repair shop from now on.

This is the best mechanic Ive ever had in my life. I feel affectionately towards the whole crew. Im a young woman, and Ive had unpleasant experiences with mechanics before- Bruces whole team is respectful and informative. They always charge me correctly, always call me before doing something that costs anything. Furthermore, just today I was worried about a new used car I bought. Ive never had such an easy, painless and overall amazing experience at an auto shop before! The employees are helpful and are sure to explain what needs to be done and why, in addition to breaking down the cost for you (which is the most reasonable pricing youll find!) They were quick and efficient in repairing my car. I truly cannot say enough good things about them and would recommend them to anyone!

I dropped my car off Thursday night because my breaks went out on the way home. I left my keys and info in their drop box. Friday they called with a detailed estimate on the issues. Bruce (I believe) told me the parts would come in the afternoon, so wouldnt be able to complete the work until Saturday by 1pm at close. I went up about an hour before close and they said they were done for the day and the work was taking longer than expected. He also said he thought I said if it wasnt done by noon since I had to go to work, I would be in on Monday. He apologized for the misunderstanding and got his guys to finish it for me within the hour! I was very pleased. My wife and I have taken both of our cars their for a while there, and we will definitely continue to do so. They are very friendly, honest, understanding, and efficient!! Had a weird experience here was suggested this place from the oil changing company up the road because it was the closest for diagnosing . First I like to say Chris was very helpful and I appreciate that . However there was a guy not sure if he’s the owner or whatever but as I sat in there sitting area waiting for an Uber because I was leaving my vehicle for diagnostic this guy ask why was I sitting there . That was really disturbing!!!! Well, anyway I left my vehicle &upon returning the same guy was there and I ask if I can have a receipt , list of issues , or anything that states what is wrong with my vehicle and he says he didn’t have anything for me . I’ve just never been to a car shop , dealership, heck not even a car wash that didn’t offer you information on what was done to your car . Like I said wasn’t the worse experience I’ve had just a weird one.

Highest possible rating. The kind of of auto shop people dream of finding. Courteous and honest. They fix things if they can instead of just selling replacement parts. My job ended up costing far less than the estimate. Recommended without reservation.

Took my car in for a Check Engine light. Turns out a wire was disconnected causing the fault. No charge! Fast, friendly and efficient. They deserve your business. Look them up when you need automotive repair.

My parents turned me onto these guys. Theyve never done me wrong in the few times Ive been there. If they couldnt do any work to keep the car out of the junk yard, they didnt charge me. Which is incredibly rare, so dont you abuse it. My mom swears by this shop.

I have an older car, that I am quite hard on and drove throughout college (so it didnt see regular maintenance), and when I moved up here I started taking my car to Bruces. Ive had tires and alignments, check engine lights, wiper motor issues, heating issues, electrical issues, oil changes and all kinds of things serviced here over the years. They have always fixed my car, quickly, accurately and cost effectively. I have never had to bring my car back for the same issue twice. They always identify the problem and fix it right then. They really know their stuff.I love that they fully explain the issues and let me know about things they see coming up in the future. I know more of what to expect from my old bug down the line and I feel more safe and confident driving my car knowing that they have given it a full safety inspection and done the repairs. There is a reason my whole family takes our cars here. I will 10/10 recommend Bruces every time.

Really appreciate the honesty, professionalism, and promptness of the people at Bruces. A dealership told me I needed new brakes and quoted a ridiculous price. Bruces not only quoted a much better price, but when I took it in they had the integrity to tell me that I didnt even need the work for another 10,000+ miles. Obviously I will be coming back to Bruces whenever I need any work done in the future.

I havent ever met a mechanic who wants to take the time to understand you, your car, and your needs UNTIL I CAME HERE. I am so impressed and relieved with the professionalism and kindness of the folks at Bruces. I came in and got a quote for a LOT of work that needed done on my poor Chevy. The guys were kind enough to walk me through the problems, what needed fixed now and what could wait, what was a safety issue and what wasnt, and were very thorough. I am so thankful that they were understanding of my multiple trips to them to tick-off the list of projects one-by-one to make sure I would be on the road in good shape in time for a trip I was going on. They have even walked me back to the bay where my car was being worked on to show AND explain (in laymans terms so I could understand) some of the issues I had questions about. You wont be over-charged or lied to here. Ill be sending all of my friends and family who need mechanic recommendations to this shop.

The guys here are phenomenal. $50 for a full synthetic oil change. Plugged a hole in my tire for free. They were about a week out, but they are typically good about getting you in for emergency repairs.

So I went to Bruce’s Automotive after my sister recommended them to me because Mr. Tire was quoting my car repairs at $700. I talked to Bruce and he said $525! I asked if there was a cash discount and then it got lowered to $490. Amazing! They did a splendid job and were very friendly. I felt like I wasn’t getting overcharged like at Mr. Tire. Bruce is such a kind man. The team is a top notch, class act!

Probably the only honest auto repair shop left. I would highly recommend using this facility for all automotive needs. A++++

My alternator went out and Bruce’s replaced it along with my wheel bearing on the passenger side. They were so friendly and prompt too. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs mechanic work. Ty Bruce’s you’re the best!

Bruce Automotive came highly recommended. So I quickly got my car serviced. I noticed that every time BA fixed my car, something magically malfunctioned. I got my check engine light addressed and my horn stopped working. I had my left headlight repaired and my fender dug into my left front tire, twice.The level of shoddy work is an embarrassment. I was told the left headlight had to be repaired again because the original tech didnt fix the exposed wiring that they were paid to do. They bent my fender twice and didnt bother to clean up their work.Im annoyed that my $$ went to a business that masks problems instead of correcting mechanical issues.I dont understand why replacing a provided battery costs $54 and Im a little hazy on how poor work ethics mean nothing to them.Id recommend going to an auto body shop somewhere...ANYWHERE, around there...just not Bruce Automotive.

Ive been going here for years. They always give good advice as far as whats needed now and what can wait.

Dealership wanted to charge me $310 to replace me for my driver’s side mirror, which didn’t include the $130 for labor. I found the mirror online for $85. When I asked about the difference in price, they said they weren’t willing to do anything that wasn’t painted. I went to Bruce’s Automotive in Lakewood, who gave me a painted mirror for $250, labor included. Mirror looks great and just like the original. Saved a good amount of money going here!!

Great place. You feel like you get more then you pay for, its crazy. I wont be going anywhere else to get my vehicle repaired or maintained. You can tell that the employees are treated well and that the guys in the front have real relationships with their customers. The work is excellent and the mechanics will put in the extra effort to make sure you understand what is going on and what the price will be and so forth. I cant recommend this place enough.

I have been going to Bruces Automotive for ignition interlock installation and maintenance. The staff is always incredibly nice and fun to talk to. Even though I have been going there for an unpleasant reason, they have made it a lot more tolerable! Highly recommended.

I always felt talked down to and/or like I was being swindled at dealerships, other mechanics*, etc. and would dread getting anything done for my car.After going to Bruces, I have zero qualms dropping off my car and knowing that these guys are fast, incredibly reasonably priced, trustworthy and just flat out awesome. Case in point: took my car in today because its been squealing and thought I might need a new belt. I even told the guy at the front desk that I probably needed a new belt. He says theyll take a look at it.A few hours later, I get a call telling me that my belts actually in good shape and it just needed to be tightened. When I pick it up and pay, theres $0 charged for tightening the belt. What mechanic does that??? If you have any car troubles....go to Bruces!!!*none of these places are in Cleveland as I lucked out and found Bruces after we moved here and have not gone anywhere else.

I drove here to Lakewood yesterday from Florida and a little over half way here my van started shaking... Like CRAZY shaking. As soon as I got to town I called Bruces, dropped off my van and just a little over a day later my van was RET TA GO! They knew I was driving home in a few days and they did a great job! They were honest, super polite and made me feel like I was being very well taken care of! I would recommend Bruces to anyone!

Pricing is fair, never feel like Ive been ripped off. They let me know whats wrong with my car, even though it doesnt mean too much to me lol. Theyll make me aware of issues that need to be done now and let me know of things that arent urgent! Lets me try to save up some money to get it fixed without the surprise factor of hey, youve got 10 things wrong and they need to be fixed now. Bruce is absolutely amazing, hes taken me back to look at the car to show me what hes talking about and show me how bad it is or isnt. Will always come back, not going anywhere else. Although there is one downside now... they are booked up solid for almost 2 weeks in advance. But when you do good work I guess thats to be expected. Thanks for keeping me safe on the road bruce!

I tried scheduling an oil change on or after 5:00pm. Ive done this before and its usually a 30 minute wait time. No big deal, but Patrick first said they were booked until next Tuesday — no problem, so I tried to schedule on or after 5:00pm any day after that. He told me his guys leave at 4, but theyre open until 6pm a few days out of the week? Ive received oil changes around 5:00pm before (after I get out of work). Not sure why it was a problem this time. I realize they dont make a ton of money off oil changes, but not offering service during their open hours — even when Im willing to schedule far in advance — seems very unprofessional.
