The crew here knows their stuff when it comes to electrical issues. I had a fender bender with my 2005 Aucura TL and assumed my battery draining had something to do with my front passenger side headlight out, leading to a short that was killing my battery if I didnt drive it everyday. They checked the voltage and integrity of the battery and cables, and asked if I wanted to replace the battery because it may be a factor in the bad (voltage) reading. I said yes, and I agreed to have them replace the battery terminals and fix the grounding cable. Ever since then, I can leave my car not driven for days and there is no problem! No more having to disconnect my terminals every night and connect them whenever I need to drive my car!In addition to being very knowledgeable in their specialty, these guys are friendly, respectful, and they wear masks and have hand sanitizer available. Any further electrical problems I am definitely coming back here. Support local, help keep them alive during this time of covid and shutdowns.Thanks so much for your help!

After a horrible experience with two GM dealerships in Denver, I had the actual necessary repair done at Merrill. They are honest, ethical, and trustworthy. They never play games or try to scam you!! They deserve 10stars!

I brought my car for nin-working power door locks and was told it wS fixed. I got home and one door was still not working . I did call and they said they would fix under warranty but I live far away. It is unfortunate they could not fix it the first time

I would like to start off by saying its too bad that I cant rate ten stars. I took in my 2002 Jeep Cherokee to have it checked out after just buying it from an owner. I knew that I needed an alignment for sure but I also needed some extras done as well. I was very pleased with the owner (Lyndall)informing me what other parts were needed. Awesome job done on my vehicle and got everything done under 800.00. Thank you as well to Zach and Todd for everything. I will be back to have them fix my radio and to buy summer tires. If you need electrical work done and are on the fence about going here, dont hesitate.Brought a barn find Isuzu Trooper to them to check some issues with lights and the previous owners audio wiring job.They were up front and honest about price and not quite being able to help me (which is okay!), but they gave it their best and checked everything to make sure it was road safe anyways. They had it overnight, and only charged me for the work/diag they did (about an hour), no BS charges.Both Art and Zach are great, but I spoke with Zach the most. My guy was a rock solid, down to earth dude, actually let me speak and listened to what I was saying about what was wrong first before suggesting or saying anything, and was nothing but accommodating through all of this. It was really refreshing working with a shop that wasnt trying to pull a fast one over me.Theyll take good care of you!

Very quick and very pleasant experience! The guys I dealt with were very nice and very helpful. Not at all pushy, intimidating, or condescending as some shops can be. I think the cost was reasonable but i am not an expert- I included a cost breakdown at the end of this review so informed parties can judge for themselves. In any case, I walked away feeling good about the whole experience and will go back to this shop for work I need done in the future.Scenario: Brought my manual 05 Ford Focus in on Monday just before they closed and it was ready to be picked up Wednesday morning. I brought it in primarily because I suspected my alternator and possibly battery was bad, which they confirmed by testing before starting work. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they do alignments too, which I had been meaning to get done, so I had them do that too. While doing the work, they called to tell me about a couple of other things they noticed (noisy water pump and leaks from the axle bellows) and were very forthcoming and realistic about how urgent (or not) each was- not pushy at all. I called around to more than 10 repair shops about an electrical problem we were having with one of our dump trailers. These guys were the first ones who even gave me the time of day to look at it. Not only did they get it done in record time, but at a very reasonable cost too! Zach was a pleasure to work with and he went above and beyond to make sure all of my needs were met! Definitely will be returning here in the future for all of our service needs, these guys rock!!

I was in desperate need of new tires. Which had to be ordered. A snowstorm had me stuck in town an extra day. They were able to bump my appointment up 4 days. I took my car in yesterday as there was something wrong with headlights and tail lights. Art and everyone at Merrill were awesome. Art kept me updated and handled everything with ease. This was probably the least stressful auto shop visit I have ever had! I was able to get everything fixed for a reasonable price and within great time!

They did some work on my Toyota Corolla that was in a very bad accident. They got the job done and I thought the cost was reasonable. Will come back again for any of my electrical needs.

Not sure how I feel about these guys I got an estimate of 1300 plus a 130 diagnostic tests fee I called another shop and got a quote of 550 for the same work not saying they are bad guys I just dont think they have the best prices... just to follow up intermountain radiator fixed the problem it was the thermostat I told art that I thought that was the issue he was adamant that it wasnt I wouldnt use these guys ever again and Im going to report them to the better business bureau. I recommend inter mountain radiator and muffler he put in a new water pump and isnt even going to charge me for it

Im new to this side of town and luckily stumbled upon Merrill Auto Electric when my starter went out. AAA helped me find them, since they are AAA approved, and Im glad they did. These guys are awesome. Art and the staff did great work and they are some of the nicest guys out there. Thank you Merrill!!

They completely ripped me off they charged me $600 to try and diagnose the truck. It took them three days to do the work and they broke prices like the battery holder and the battery cable connectors. They charged me a $28 supply charge that I got no explanation for, and they could not diagnose the electrical issue. I took my truck to Toy Car Care and right off the batt they knew I had been rip off. I took them the $600 paragraph of information I had been given by Merrill and by reading that they were confident I had been sold a batch of bad goods. Do not use these guys and if you have a Toyota or Lexus take it to the guys at Toy Car Care. They diagnosed the issue and fixed it in one day they charged me $116 for diagnostic and the total to fix it was $808.

Loved this place! They were super polite and quick! I needed to replace my driver seatbelt, they did it in about an hour for only 65 bucks, with a smile! Great experience at this place, will go back for any car needs!

This shop was suggested by AAA to me because of how close they are to my home. Im so glad I went to them! They are great people! Had to tow my car in because it wouldnt start. They were quick on finding the problem and getting it fixed. They also fixed some other issues I had with my hood and tailgate struts? ( or is it shocks?), all at a reasonable price. I will definitely be taking all my mechanical issues to them in the future! I did find some blood on my car so Im assuming that my car bit them and I apologize for that, I hope it wasnt too bad of a cut.

Great service. Came in looking to change out an expensive part the dealer said was necessary. It was too involved for me and I wasnt paying the dealer 900 to do it. Referred to Merrill by AAA and thank goodness. A diagnostic was run and there was only one piece of that 200.oo part that was even needed. Merrill found a substitute and had my car as good as new by the afternoon. For much cheaper than the part cost from the dealer.

The staff was really helpful in pinpointing the specific issues I had going on with my car. They communicated details to me and made sure my car was in perfect condition before going back out on the road. The pricing was also something I was fond of. I got a new alternator for $100 cheaper than my last one through Goodyear. This one came with a lifetime warranty vs. the one I had, which only had a 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty. To say the least, they looked out for me bigtime.

This shop is quite near my home and I regret not using their service several years ago. Everyone is friendly and eager to please. They diagnosed my cars problem and completed additional work that I requested. I will definitely return for any service I may need in the future.

I have taken my car to this place for years the service has always been great and they have diagnosed my car the first time not sure why the other reviews are so bad. Seems maybe something more was wrong with their cars then they are leading on to believe!!! I have had my water pump fixed the first time it was towed into the shop an I got a ride home. I have had my water pump fixed and my radiatior fixed... They do a good job and are timely about getting it fixed.

At least they were honest enough to truthfully state they couldnt fix my vehicle, and only charged for one hour of labor instead of at least five hours spent looking for the problem. So theres that.

Do not take your car to this establishment. I have taken two cars to them and all I have left to show for it are a collection of bills and one car that is worse off than before I took it them. They were unable to fix one car but kept working on it for weeks. Charged us and never were able to fix the problem. I had the air-conditioning worked on for another car. They returned the car with the keyless entry disabled (i.e. broken). At the time they said they would reimburse me for the damage that they caused to the car. Fast forward to today when I called to make sure that they would honor that promise to repair their shoddy work. What am I told? I waited too long to have their shoddy work repaired. My message to you dear reader: Look to another place to have your work done.

Art and his staff treated me very well. I encourage anyone struggling with an electrical problem of any kind to head straight over and sign these guys up to have a look. Unlike some other auto electric service providers in our area, Art and his team will diagnose your vehicles’s electrical problem right down to the component level. After that they let you decide who will do the repairs.So I could’nt Have asked for or received better service on my older Honda. Highly recommended.

I was surprised to learn that Mike had sold the business recently. All the techs are still there as is Art the Service writer. This was a test run of the new ownership. I brought my Avalon in for a noise in the brakes and a general service and inspection on Wednesday afternoon.Inspection confirmed my assessment of brake pads and warped rotors which were replaced. Also the coolant system and brake system were flushed and the oil/filter were changed. They always perform a AAA vehicle inspection on each visit by an AAA member customer.The vehicle was ready by 1pm on Thursday and the work appears the same quality service Ive come to expect from Merrill in the last 8 years. Im glad I dont have to search for an honest garage again.Jan 2018-update...My 17 year old 4WD pickup started steering strangely when I turned corners....I went to Merrill and left the vehicle. The next morning Art called and said the problem was the vehicle was in 4WD.....DUH! 1st time in 75000 miles of driving it I didnt think to check something so obvious. Good lesson and they didnt charge me to diagnose my Senior Moment.You can trust the techs at Merrill not to sell you something you dont need.

Do NOT go here. I took it in twice. The first time, all they did was disconnect a rear windshield wiper with diagnostic for over $200. My car ran a week. The second time, all they did was change the spark plugs with diagnostic for over $300, my car ran 2 weeks. Then I called and was told they fixed the problem, but there may be more problems (after I asked them repeatedly during the first two visits if everything was good to go). He also said I may consider buying a new car.Why would I take my car in for 2 visits if I had the money to finance a new car? A good mechanic doesnt suggest buying a new car after they make you go in twice.

Came in to shop a specifically asked if they worked on and can fix after market head lights. I was told by the man at the front desk no problem they would take care of me and get it fixed. Walked home 2 miles because no shutel service was available at this time and five hours later stoped by shop to see if it was done. I was told bad news they dont work on aftermarket lights and didnt even know were to start to fix or replace them with original parts. On top of lying to me, keeping my vechicle most of the day not fixing a single thing tried to charge me $150Instead of having the integrity of other shops like Lakewood electrical who told me up front the dont work on aftermarket and suggested other shops who may be able to help. In conclusion I will never go back or recommend this shop to any one in they future

Had squeaky breaks so I had my breaks and rotors replaced along with a full synthetic oil change. Priced right but best of all no more squeaky breaks

Nothing but a waste of my time and money People were nice there but I brought in my truck to get checked because its been running rough .it has a camper on it thats strapped on with tow straps and I know my truck has alot of weight on it but I work alot and dont really have time to take it to a shop so I brought it there thinking they could help me. I called them to see what was wrong with my truck and they just started telling me how unsafe my camper is and that its loaded too heavy. Im very disappointed because if they were that concerned about the weight they should of told me first before they took in their shopand charged me money and told me that they cant find anything wrong with it. And i took it to another shop which is cheaper and come to find out its my spark plugs and fuel pump which I had already pretty much figured out on my own

My dads jeep went up in flames in their parking lot at 3am! They told him that they have no liability for it, even though it was towed to their location by our insurance company! Saw they had a camera pointed right at the jeep and they informed us that it was a fake camera....smh! Dont do business here!
