I brought in four pairs of Christian Louboutins (three heels and one pair of flats) to be re-soled. I couldn’t be happier! The bottoms are now shiny rubber which means they won’t scratch! They will maintain their beautiful red for years to come. The flats were brand new and already had rubber soles but for some reason Louboutin chose to not extend it to the heel. Totem Lake Shoe Repair to the rescue! I will forever bring in every pair of Louboutin’s here. Outstanding work. They’ve earned a lifetime customer!

I could not even walk around the block without my dream pair of hiking boots causing a blister on my heel. Everything else about the boot, the protection, stability, and traction was so good I did not want to give up on them. Another shoe repair place said that Scott taught him to repair shoes and that he is the person to go to if your shoes need surgery or repair. Scott applied leather softener and molded the heel to make a groove for my Achilles’ tendon for a more than reasonable price. It worked 100%. I am so happy. So here is what I know about this experience: Scott is honest and picked the least expensive way to get the best result, he understands the materials he works with and the mechanics of the foot, getting things just right is what makes him great at what he does, and I enjoyed talking to his wife when I was arranging the repair. So next time my shoes need a repair, I will think: keep them because it is no problem that can not be fixed. I know just the guy to make them right.

Brought new designer purse to this shop which has some dirty spots on it. Asked them to clean. Not sure what they did to that purse, but now it looks 10 times worse. In addition, they try to charge me $40 for what they did. The lady at the register was insanely rude. Instead of apologizing, she started argue with me. Never again will go to this shop!

I have been a patron of this business for over 10 years now. Ive never had a problem. The work has always looked great and I have never had the work fall apart. The staff is always nice and helpful. When I lived in Oregon I would still drive up here or mail them to them to have the work done on my shoes. 100% worth the money. They rarely raise there prices and to be honest they should raise them by $5. I feel they should be charging more for the level of quality they provide.

Service was super. My boots look great and they made the soles water tight without having to replace them.This is my new shoe place!

I have worked in shoes for over 20 years and I find them to have been one of the best shoe repair shops Ive ever dealt with. And I have a lot of shoes. Their work is impeccable. So good that I come all the way from North Seattle for their work.

My experience with this store is absolutely beyond expectations and Id like to recommend this store to everyone:1. I have a pair of Chanel flat shoes that the bow tie of one shoe is chewed off by my puppy. Also there are several scraps on both shoes. They replaced bows on both shoes and look authentic to me. They also fixed the scraps very well. Now the shoes look like new and only cost around $132. I have a Chloe bag that two hardwares dropped off. I do have the original hardwares but the pins that secure the hardwares are missinf. I have spent several hundred dollars sending it back to Nordstrom repair factory waiting for couple months for them to be fixed. It ended up not working, the hardwares dropped off again very soon. This store fixed the hardware Im good quality and asked NO cost at all.

These guys do an excellent job. Theyre super friendly and prices are good. Many an old pair of shoes that I thought I could not salvage was restored here. Things like old leather soles with holes are an easy fix. And youll be surprised how they can bring new life out of the leather.

I bought cheap boots with a hollow heel at a discount shoe store. Eventually the sole was separated from the boot! Cobbler to the rescue! I brought them here to replace the entire sole of both boots and they did an amazing job! They look beautiful and fit perfectly. I will definitely be coming back.

This team is amazing! All of my dress shoes come here for heal plates because I skid my heals when I walk. We also get our zip soles put on here. They are fast and best price around. Plus I love the American flag on the wall and smiling staff who seem like they love their work. Great team Scott!

2 years ago these folks repaired a zipper on a golf bag for me. In fact on two bags. I requested the same service today and now they say they don’t repair golf bag zippers. So any future business I need done will go to their competitors.

Such a great experience. My 9-year-old daughter had put a lot of thought into a suitcase for our planned trip to Europe. When it finally arrived, she was excited, but noticed immediately that one of the zippers wouldnt work and, despite our attempts to fix it, it would not work. We contacted Totem Lake Shoe Repair, and they stayed open for us, fixed the zipper in about 5 minutes, and told us not to worry about payment. So grateful!

Fabulous place with great people who are honest. If they cant fix it they tell you its a waste of time and money. And their work is perfect. Hard to find an old fashioned honest business these days and this business is a treat.

I visited on late morning on a Saturday and while I didn’t end up leaving any shoes for him to fix I know I will in the future. The owner is friendly and has a deep knowledge of shoes and repairing shoes. He was happy to answer questions as well. The storefront itself had a lot of shoe accessories, shoe cleaning supplies, and shoes for sale.

Great work on two pair of boots and a purse. Zipper repair on all 3 items. Also had heals fastened on 1 pair of boots and soles replaced. Good price and done as promised. Great attitude and service! This is a great place to have repairs done! Will return to this shop when new repairs are needed!

Great work here. Scott and his team really knows what their doing. Scott thinks out f the box meaning hell try and find a solution for the task at hand.There is a three week wait, but well worth it.

Totem Lake Shoe Repair did a great job on my hiking boots. The stitching was worn and starting to open up. They did a very neat job re-stitching the heavy leather, for a reasonable price. Boots were ready when they promised.

These guys are the best. They are super friendly and will absolutely take care of just about any kind of shoe repair. The repaired the zipper on an old pair of doc Marten motorcycle boots they no longer make. They also punched some new holes in two thick leather belts for me and did so on the house! This saved me 200 bucks for new ones since I dropped a size and Saddleback leather is not cheap :)

I brought a worn out pair of nostalgic winter boots in to have the soles replaced and they worked their magic as usual! Friendly, prompt and excellent service. My shoes look as good as new!

I have brought ALL of my louboutins here to get the beautiful soles reinforced / resoled. I brought only one pair to start (I was nervous!) and they did such a good job I came back with my whole collection for them to do, and since finding them when I get a new pair of louboutin I bring them here for the red sole reinforcement before I wear them out. The material they use is amazing - they have a rubbery matte or a shiny option and I get the shiny because it truly matches the true color of louboutins red soles. It doesn’t scratch up like the original soles will so it protects my shoes and keeps them looking almost brand new! Highly recommend this place! I moved from Kirkland to Tacoma a few years ago and drive all the way up here when I need to get any louboutins done!

One of the better shoe repair shops Ive been to in Washington but still not perfect. I brought my Jimmy Choo heels here that had some stains on them from rain. The shoes are a blush pink suede and its an incredibly fine, thin, delicate suede layer. The shoes came back without the stains on them, but theyre just simply not the same. The suede near the tip where the stain was is no longer soft, its matted and hard. The color is also different, they kind of just look like a tan/nude suede now instead of blush pink. All in all, they got the stain off but theyre just not the same.

I stopped in to have the bottom on my high heeled boots replaced and I didn’t even have to wait 5 mins. Great customer service from the moment I walked in. I definitely will be bringing back the rest of my shoes! This review was 2 yrs ago and I had given them five stars.What a different and uncomfortable experience I had at this shop today 12/9/20. Went to pick up my boots which I had taken in three weeks ago. I walked in and no one verbally acknowledged that a customer has walked in. From the moment I walked in, it was as if I was an inconvenience. It’s was simply horrible and uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to leave. That being said, boots were down as requested. I will refrain from going there if I can.

Honestly I havent been able to find a more competent shoe repair place since moving to the PNW. Ive only taken my boots here to be resoled/worked on and Ive tried to go elsewhere(I live in Tacoma) but no one is as professional nor gives a sense of confidence that I get from Totem Lake Shoe Repair.

The best for shoe lifts for people with one leg shorter then the other!! They wont take advantage of your disability to make a buck!! Half the price then other shoe repair places! Great guy! The work is high quality.

Service with a hometown feel. Friendly, professional, accommodating. They are busy so expect a couple weeks to return your items but theyll be good as new when you pick them up.

These guys are super knowledgeable, but the real kicker is the customer service. I had them work on loosening a pair of boots for me, I got stuck in traffic, called them, and they stayed open an extra 10 minutes so I could pick them up. Little things like this make all the difference.And the boots were perfect!

In sept i took in a pair of Tony Lama lizard skin boots that my puppy had chewed up on the toe. I figured they were goners,unless they could do a silver toe. These boots have sentimental value as they were my deceased fathers, as well as real value as they were almost new, and new ones are about $400. Had a wait, as i got them back first week of jan, but the wait was worth it! You cannot tell they were ever damaged! Perfect repair, perfect match of color and grain of leather!! Went in to have a zipper on my riding boot replaced. Charged me 60 bucks and the zipper wasnt even installed correctly. They installed one side of it with a crease so its making the zipper stick out more than it should causing it to rub and wear out and need repair again after only 5 rides... Not very happy. Havent went in yet to see if they will fix it without charging me a bunch of money.....again. for 60 bucks it should be right from the start.

They know what theyre doing and they do it well! Wont take my boots anywhere else.

I read some really great reviews initially before visiting this place. Walked in and needed to drop off 4 pairs of shoes. First impression was the woman who took shoes was very nice. Friendly and talkative. Took them about two weeks to get it done since they were very busy which was fine by me and they told me ahead of time.I came back about 2 weeks later to pick up my shoes. I noticed the job was a bit sloppy on one pair of white heels that I asked about. She said she would have one of her journeymen try to fix it. Upon the journey-woman coming out, she said that she wasnt even done with the shoes yet and dont know why they were brought out.I had another pair of black booties that looked all scratched up on the shaft of the heel...I had never initially dropped them off like that but I had a couple of scuff marks in the front and then back of the heel but not along the shaft of the heel itself. I was told that it looked like normal wear and tear and was told that it was basically my fault. The other journey-woman came out and said it looks like something I had done, and I hadnt done anything like that to my heels. The woman who initially appeared nice was very rude. Cut me off several times and I wasnt yelling or screaming I simply told her I was very unhappy with their work and that they messed up my shoes. They offered no refund back, there was no affirmation whatsoever on what happened. They basically took no responsibility for scratching up the back of my heel shaft and said there was no way that wouldve happened to my shoes there. That was a lie. They ruined my shoes. Gave me no refund, they were EXTREMELY RUDE, walking away from me in the conversation. I told the woman this means that I will not be returning to get my shoes fixed there and she said thats your own choice then. Very rudely then walked off and completely ignored me.I dont think Ive ever experienced such HORRIBLE customer service from a place that repairs your things ever. I just left my shoes there for them to repair the scratches for free (since apparently they had nothing to do with that) instead of refunding my money for permanently scratching and ruining my shoes. Im hoping they dont spitefully ruin anymore of my shoes. Very unhappy with this place. Waste of money. Dont come here if you expect good customer service in the chance something goes wrong. Horrible resolving of conflict on their part. I will warn everyone I meet to not come to this place. Its unfortunate. When you dont know how to run a business and deal with unhappy customers. Not a good look at all.
