Its a rare thing for me to write a review of about anything anymore, but I feel I need to share about my experience at American Haircuts. Josh cut my hair today and it was an awesome experience! I felt very at home not out of place in a shop. It seemed like the kind of place I could have spent a few hours just hanging out at the people everyone was nice, and funny. And the haircut was amazing, I decided to splurge and get a shave, Josh did a super amazing cut and shave. If you ever feel like you need to give yourself a treat, just go here and see Josh, you wont regret it and youll feel a million times better after. Thanks again Josh and American Cuts! When I got to the area I had a hard time finding a good barber. Either they were really good at doing a clean fade, but not great at the rest of the haircut or could give a good trim up top, but a poor fade.I started getting my hair cut by Angelo about a year ago and I can say that he has had solid service and good advice on both styling and haircare. I would and have recommended this place to friends.

I love the relaxed and conservative atmosphere here. The people are really nice . The only complaint I have is the prices are a little outrageous. Some of the barbers charge up $40 which is ridiculous

***Im adding this to my first review which is below. The guy that we always went to retired and we tried somebody else and he was just okay. And I dont want to pay $60 for two haircuts for just okay. I have been cutting my boys hair for years and as theyve gotten older they needed more precise work. But this guy didnt do any better than me. Our original guy who retired did precision and made them look exceptional but this one not so much. And then we tried another barber and he was a little better than this guy but still not like the first. Guess were just going to look until we find someone as good as the first one.My grandsons Josh and Noah who are 10 and 7 always come out of this place looking sharp and handsome! The people there know exactly what theyre doing and they do a quality job. Weve been to other places and they do okay but the haircuts our boys received were very precise and looked great on them. I only wish they would have prices that were different for kids under 12. I thought the haircuts were a little expensive for two boys. $30 a piece for each haircut and tip on top of that is a bit much. But hey, I guess you get what you pay for because they did an awesome job! (Still wouldnt mind kids prices.. hint hint!)

I’ve been going here for about 2.5 to 3 years for my haircuts. If I don’t have to, I never go anywhere else! Angelo is the only one who has ever cut my hair and the only one I’ll let cut it, but everyone there is top notch and friendly! Angelo is personable and gives a truly spot on cut! It’s worth every penny to pay for a fresh fade.

Wonderful experience. I cannot recommend more. It had a great atmosphere and very nice people. They offered free drinks while I waited for my haircut. I got my haircut by Angelo. He was very kind and professional, and he took a lot of pride in the cut. It is definitely worth the extra money to get a high quality cut paired with a very pleasant experience.

I was referred to American Haircut about six months ago. Truly a top notch Barber shop! I use Angelo but all the Barbers here take their job to the highest level. You won’t find a better haircut.

Few months back, was hard pressed to find a new barber. Took a chance, made an appointment with Angelo. Glad I did. Man knows what hes doing. Then a couple of weeks ago, Angelo wasnt available so I took a chance again and made an appointment with Matt. Hit it out of the park. Cant go wrong with this location having a tandem team like that. A+++ service.

Ive cut my 4 year olds hair myself before, but this was the first time hes had it professionally done. He looks great! The receptionist/dude cleaning up the hair and preparing things around the shop for the stylists was hilarious. 10/10 will bring my son here again, oh and my husband too!

We used MattyWe have followed him from the Atlanta location. He always cuts my 3 boys hair and mine. Never complains and always takes care of us. If anyone is looking for a person to make them feel great about the quality of their hair hit him up!

Edit: I went back and used my coupon for a free haircut and beard trim. It went better and I’ve been back a time or two since then. Updated it to four stars, sometimes even the pro’s make mistakes.Old review: 2 starsI wanted to like this place, but they took a huge chunk out of my beard and left several spots on my head hair longer than others. I spent about an hour and 15 minutes in the chair. I went back and they attempted to fix it, but there’s nothing anyone can do to put the hair back. They didn’t refund my money, but gave me a coupon for a free hair cut and beard trim.

Always great service and no waiting when Ive made an appointment. I have sensitive skin but when Ive been shaved here by Angelo its never gotten irritated. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a traditional barber.Products they sell are reasonably priced and not marked up noticably over Amazon. The price might seem high, but its not a rushed experience and a great splurge to make on yourself.

Ive been going to this place consistently for 2 years and I am happy to report it is a perfect place to get a good haircut and shave. If youre a guy I need to reinvent yourself do it here, they take great care of you. This place uses authentic straight razors which sort of leans into my gripe. This place used to be a little cheaper but now its getting to where its too much. A shave and a haircut cost me $50 where they used to cost me $40 at most, and thats not including a tip. Overall the best places to get a haircut if you need to reinvent yourself but it will cost a pretty penny.

Great barbershop. The fades are sharp. All barbers are professional and the spot has a great vibe. cleaniness is spot on. Highly recommend it. My personal barber is Gilbert hes great! In this barbershop I feel at home.

Nathalie is my new regular. She is very detail oriented and very considerate in what you want, consults you every step of the way. Just about everything you could want in a professional hair cut, she has over 30 years of experience.

I just had my first visit to American Haircuts, and Nathalie too great care of me. Although she was due for a lunch when I arrived, she insisted on fitting me in her schedule because she didnt want me to have to wait (I felt a little guilty, but overall it was a very nice gesture). There was a concierge who set my appointment in a patient and friendly manner and the whole staff seemed very welcoming and professional. Nathalie, my barber, displayed a great deal of experience, confidence, and guidance in giving me one of the best haircuts Ive ever had! Thank you guys! Ill be back.

Angelo has been my guy for almost 2 years now, every 2-3 weeks I go in. Haircuts and hot shaves, you won’t find a better service, cut, or conversation! Highly recommend

I drive from Smyrna to Kennesaw to get my boys hair cut there! It’s worth the drive to me to have their hair cut right. We see Scott and can not say enough good things about him! My youngest (5) has asked for years for a Mohawk. Every person that has cut his hair has smiled at him and given him a generic messy cut and used pomade to spike it. Scott was the first person to listen to him and give him what he wanted. My son didn’t stop smiling. He’s kept it up for us since. My oldest (14) talked to Scott about what he liked and didn’t like about his hair. Scott listened and completely cut it different than anyone we had been to. He took it shorter on the sides and styled it in a way that my son absolutely loves! Both boys have gotten a ton of compliments on their hair since. Love, love, love it!!

Good haircut! Excellent service. Nice parlour, clean environment and friendly staff. I just dont find it necessary to pay 54 dollars for a cut and clipper shave. If it makes you feel good about yourself I could see paying that much, but a haircut is a haircut to me. Dont need one for a self esteem boost.

Been here twice with my 2 year old. Gilbert is a genius. After so many failed attempts by other barbers, he came in on the first time and worked his magic to make my kid look fresh and not like someone gave him a bowl cut with that dreaded straight line look on the bangs. The staff overall is so friendly with my son, he and I both love being there!

After receiving a rather unfortunate haircut at a salon I asked a friend for a barbershop recommendation. The first place he suggested was American Haircuts and, after my experience today, I can see why. Natalie was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. She fixed the mistake made at the salon the day before and absolutely nailed the haircut I was going for. I will definitely be returning for all future haircuts and would encourage everyone to at least give them a shot.

The experience of receiving a haircut at this location is amazing. Vintage, rustic vibes surround you and the hairstylist are comfortable to be around. Natalie did a great job taking her time cutting my hair.

If youre looking for a great haircut, the associates know what theyre doing, while it may be a little pricey there are great people there to service you.

It has been impossible to leave a barbershop and have both of my teen boys happy. One is very particular and the other has hair that is awkward to cut. Today was different; we all left happy! The atmosphere was super chill and the attention the clients receive is incredible. Try them out!

Got a coupon for this place at Dry County Brewery and happy I tried it. Great atmosphere to make a guy feel pampered, but still masculine. A great fusion of old school barbershop and modern man cave. Little touches like free beverages while you wait are awesome. Sure it’s gonna cost you more than a Great Clips, but the barbers are top notch, the environment is great and you get to feel like a king for 15-20 min with the great customer service. Love the straight razor shave on the back of the neck at the end too, smoother than a baby’s bottom!

I recently had to change barbers due to moving too far away from my now old one. Im very peculiar about how and who cuts my hair and trims my beard. I found it very easy to schedule appointments by using their website and also choosing the barber you felt best suited your needs. All of the staff are extremely friendly, and the overall feel of the shop is very chill. I definitely will be going back and have now chosen Gilbert as my go to barber. I highly recommend this shop as I have already told my friends and co-workers about this place.

Found our new favorite place to have our five year old son’s hair cut... They were all so kind and made him feel like one of the big guys! I took my boyfriend here today and was our first time. We had a really awesome experience from the second we walked in. Very hospitable and nice atmosphere. But the guy that cut my boyfriends hair, ANGELO, has some serious skills.We couldn’t really explain what we wanted because we’ve been traumatized by other hairdressers. But he just took over and said, “ I know what he wants and I will make him look good.” Then he just did his thing and it has been the best cut he’s had in years, also probably the first person to not mess up his hair.My Bf’s hair is thick and can be be tricky to cut and even out. Sometimes they tend to cut it all off because of this. This was no issue. We were also in and out pretty quick and yet he paid very close attention to detail and was very efficient.I recommend Angelo! He definitely knows what he is doing. We are sooo glad we found this place and HIM. We will definitely be back! Thanks Angelo!

Consistently great people and cuts!

Im used to paying $15 or less at Great Clips. I paid $25 here and it was DEFINITELY worth it. Jennifer did mine and I appreciated that she took her time with it to make sure of the finishing touches. Didnt get anything done to my beard but I will be coming back for sure.

I decided to try American Haircuts on a whim because it was the only place around that want a salon and still had over for stars. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is nice (rock, not country), and Wallace too great care of me! Ill likely be back.

Pretty sure it doesnt reflect poorly on the barbershop as a hole but the guy that cut my hair made fun of my previous haircut, didnt listen to anything I wanted and I ended up looking like a weirdo with a short mullet. I think the guys name was Mark or something like that, all he talked about was being a traveling stylist back in the 80s complete nut.

Not going back. They have a huge sign on the front of their store that says walk ins welcome. But Ive gone in late in the afternoon (about 4) and been told they didnt have anyone to cut my hair that day because they were full with appointments. At best they have a 30 minute wait if you walk in. The barbers are hit or miss. Had a few good ones, had a few lousy ones. Found a guy I liked and was making appointments with him. Hes not the anymore, so I walked in. Guy told me it would be at *least* a 30 minute wait. There are too many barber shops around to wait more than 30 minutes. And that would be acceptable IF they didnt have a huge sign encouraging folks to walk in. Also parking is a nightmare. Id you make an appointment around lunch time, go early.

I like the Americana concept here. Nice design choices but a little cramped. Why anyone would go to sports clips or super cuts or any of those places baffles me when this cut costs maybe another 5 bucks or so. At least some, if not all, of their barbers have beaucoup experience and do a great job. Wallace was my barber and I am very happy with my outcome. Will be coming here again. The front desk guy was a little distracted on his phone though... have to point that out as it was a little amateurish. Still 5 stars.

Have been using the same amazing barber for fifteen years. Due to medical issues. I had to look for another barber who could cut a flat-top the way I have worn it since retiring from the military. I went to Kennesaw and saw a barber shop named American Haircuts. There were plenty of barbers inside so I did not have a wait and went to Angelos chair. his pride was evident in the way he cut hair and shaved my neck. I did not believe I could find another barber as great for the last fifteen yers but I was wrong. The flat-top was great so I tipped twice the usual amount !! AAAAA+++++

I had seen this place before but it was always closed when I went by, but wow was I glad I did make it there. Great barber shop for guys, and everyone really complimented on my hair cut. Definately worth it for every guy to visit at least once!! You will not be unhappy you do!

I Wanted my son ( who is 3yrs old) to get a haircut so I did a walk in at American haircuts at kennesaw... as soon as I open the door I was greeted with a big smile and was offered sodas or water. THe place was very clean and excellent customer service. The nice lady who cut my son’s hair Is name Britney. She was very friendly to my son and was making my son laugh. An eclectic group of quality Barbers, each going all out learn the needs of their clients. Appointments are required and first available is given to walk-ins.

Barbers were nice, but the person scheduling appointments and times was just as obnoxious as could be - said that they were walk-in friendly, and I walk in and wait 2 hours. Everything else aside, it’s just important to manage customer’s expectation, which was not done here.

Love the staff and everyone is great at what they do. Recommended for anyone looking to get a great haircut.

Just recently moved to the northside from south of Atlanta. Ive tried a couple different barber shops, multiple different styles (chopped the bun off) and there was not a barber at any shop that did a GREAT job. walked in, was greeted right away with nothing but amazing customer service. Gave the barber (Brittany) free reign. told her what I was going for and told her to do her thing. Best cut Ive gotten since the move. It was kind of pricey but it was 100% worth it. You guys got yourself another reoccurring customer.
