Always a good selection of seasonal items with great prices. Can almost always find necessary household items. As with most DGs stores, overcrowded stock and narrow aisles make me want to get what I want and get out quickly. Never ask staff for assistance. They are seemingly not hired for their personality or friendliness.

A great, large and clean DG Dollar General store. Great deals in the clearance section and always well stocked shelves in every other department. They also have coupon offers you can load to your smartphone. Checkout is usually very quick and accurate. Staff is always friendly and friendly Aisles are well lighted but can be a bit cramped if two carts trying to pass, really.... All in all a great chain of stores and this is no exception.

Large selection at a reasonable price, always very well stocked. Should have more than one register open during busy times though.

The staff are very friendly, the isles are so over full with boxes a cart can not fit down them. The ceiling is leaking and part of it is missing.

This dollar general has a great manager and great staff. Andy is hilarious and makes shopping there fun. I love this dollar general, its my fav in town. I buy all of my cat stuff and cleaning supplies there. Great selection in cleaning isle.

Lots of merchandise carts all over the store blocking items. Also there is only ever one cashier on at a time and the line builds up

The Dollar General on third street in Jamestown has its pros and its cons that i have noticed. I typically go to the Foote Avenue store but every so often i will detour to this store instead on my way home from work. When i go in the store it is well kept, its clean, its spacious, they usually have what im looking for and when i go to grab it i notice that the shelves are quite organized. Overall i would say the employees there are okay. There are a few there who are really nice, who are always willing to help a customer in need and make coming here quite the enjoyable experience, but ive noticed that the store manager (Phill i think his name is.) Is awfully rude to people. Everytime im in there he is either arguing with a customer or putting his employees down. He isnt professional at all. Which is why i try to avoid shopping here most of the time. He makes it really uncomfortable at times. The only other problem i have with the store is the fact that they are so busy and sometimes it feels like it takes an eternity to get cashed out. They have three cash registers and yet they only use one of them. i think if they had a line that extends from the door to the back of the store they could get one or two employees to help out. Dollar General is suppose to be a convenient store, people just want to get in and get out but the one cashier thing they have going on needs to be fixed, ive seen people get so tired of waiting they just walk out. Overall i think this store is great, just needs some improvement on their manager and the amount of cashiers available.

I am a regular customer at the 3rd st store about 2 to 3 times a week and its one of the best stores Ive been to in jamestown falconer and Lakewood the employees are very nice especially this employee named David every time Im in there on friday and Tuesday he is always working hard and always pick things off of the floor and is always nice to customers and helps them the best he can do and if he cant help he always grabs someone that will but there us one employee that works there that is very rude to customers and other employees and he doesnt do his job I was the only customer in the store and he was just standing at the counter for 7 mins doing nothing his name is andi and I found out he is a lead how can u give a higher job to a person that dont do much of anything and is rude to his employees and other customers I even heard andi say that he is going to fire Cody he doesnt have the Authority to fire anyone but he thinks he does he should be the one who gets fired
