They are a very friendly company to speak to and they seem to want to try to help but they did not give me the dumpster that I ordered and they never bothered to tell me that if I waited a day I could have a dumpster that I want just for an additional $50, ($650 for 15 yards/$700 for 30 yards) then they never picked up the dumpster until eight days afterwards. Other than that I don’t have any other complaints about them. The dumpster has a different company name because they used somebody else I guess because they didn’t have any dumpsters but they never bothered to tell me that, and it’s really not important, I’m just upset that I could’ve had a dumpster that would’ve helped me clean out my property for only $50 more and they never bothered to tell me, and then they kept me waiting for them to pick up the dumpster for over eight days and it was in the way. I would never use them again

Absolutely wonderful service. We had a small porch and concrete debris removal request for my personal home. Drivers were extremely courteous and professional. Left the area where debris was cleaner than before the demo. As a project manager for a Custom Home Builder, I can tell you that this is usually not the norm. Thank you Shepells

Update... do not do business with this company. They don’t care about the customer and just rip home owners off because they know they are not a recurring account.Worst company ever. After reading reviews because my normal company was not available I ordered a 30 yard container to put small pine limbs in. Yes small pine branches. After going to the dump they sent me an invoice for 10 tons. Really 10 tons of pine branches?!? Over 20 dumpsters I have never went over the prepaid weight. But they said I had 10 tons. Called the office and the lady was very rude. I believe they are over charging or getting confused on each dumpster. I have one that is all most full with the same amount and I’m going to have it scaled. If I find out they over charged me then I will involve my lawyer. After the comments I’ve read, this seems to be happening to a lot of people. Do not use this company. Total rip off and office personnel are rude and don’t care about their customers

Terrible company. After I did my accounting and saw that Ive spent over half a million dollars over the last 3 years with multiple of my companies and then during rough times need to pay a $400 invoice a little late. I was told that was fine. Then when I need a new dumpster my company is on a hold? For $400 that I paid the day I asked for a dump and return? Go with Waste Watchers. They are much more professional and do not handle their business like a tow truck company. I hope those that have city contracts with Shapells come to their senses sooner than later. It takes a lot for me to write a review, but I cant believe I stayed loyal to this terribly ran business for as long as I did. Run!

Was charged 450 to get a container, then after a dump and replace I get a bill for 360. that over 800 for 15yd. so I call to organize the issue and was told Ill get back with you, never recieved a call back and now theyre sending liens to homeowners making me look like I stiff people. I try to talk and ask questions but the lady on the phone only wants to talk over you and will not listen to whats happening. all in all they take your deposit and forget they have it and you pay twice for services. I still have the container and not sure what theyre wanting to do. maybe I should back charge them for not getting it removed.

Totally unprofessional drivers! Driver would NOT let me merge into a land as construction area was ahead. Literally an inch away from hitting my truck with my kid I’m the back! He needs to seek help or be reprimanded accordingly

Great customer service. Answered all my questions, and was honest about my wait time. Got my can to me a day early. When I called in for pick up it was done the next day. I read other reviews and Im not sure who they rented from, but I dont think it was Shapells. Very happy.

Bad service from the start. Was sent an invoice saying my dumpster was over the pre paid weight. Called to let them know when I could pay it so I wouldn’t get a late fee. Even though I highly doubt it was over. Then when I called the lady confirmed the amount owed and that exact price would be taken out of my card. But had her email me a copy of my receipt and saw a charge for more than was said with no explanation and they wouldn’t answer the phone for me to question the mysterious extra charge. Will never go with this company again

I use Shapells dumpster service on a weekly basis for my renovation company. They have always taken care of all of my requirements. They are professional and courteous. I have never had a problem with them, and would recommend them to anyone.

We use Shapell’s for jobsite clean up and debris removal on the regular basis for our hardwood flooring business! They are fast friendly and reasonably priced! I would highly recommend them!

Contacted Shapells to order a roll of dumpster on a Wednesday. The lady was moderately friendly on the phone, gave them my contact info etc, was advised the dumpster would be delivered in 3 days and that someone would call me. Received a call the following day at 11 from a driver saying he was on the way to the house. When I explained to him that I was told it would be three days and that I couldnt just leave work willy nilly to meet him there, he asked me when a good time would be. I told him either Friday or Saturday are fine. He said no problem and that someone would call me to reschedule the time and ensure its delivered. Ive yet to receive a call and its been 2 weeks. I called them 3 times in the past 2 weeks to no avail. Stay away from these guys, worst customer service and follow through Ive ever witnessed. If i could give a negative rating, I absolutely would.

We used Shapells while remodeling our house. They delivered in a reasonable time frame, but the problems started when we requested pick-up. They kept saying they had someone on the way each time we called. No one ever showed. I finally called and told them to get the roll-off out of my drive way before I have to call someone else to pick it up. It was at our home in the drive for 8 days after they originally stated they would pick it up. A few weeks later we received our deposit check for the difference . As I stated earlier, we were in the middle of a remodel. The check was tossed in with a bunch of other paperwork to be sorted out later. We cashed the check a few weeks ago, only for it to bounce and receive a bounce check fee from our bank. After calling and speaking with Shapells twice last week and one this morning, they have stated its not our fault you took so long to cash the check. We changed accounts. They stated they would reissue the check, but the fee was my fault. Seriously. This last call was the worst, same conversation, only this time they asked for my name and I gave it to them, at which point she told me that they would be reissuing the check without the bounced check fee and there is nothing I can do about it now and hung up on me. This is a shady business, stay clear. There are plenty of other roll-off companies in Jacksonville to go with.

WORST COMPANY EVER. THEY BROKE A CHUNK OF CONCRETE OFF OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN PUTTING DUMPSTER ON DRIVEWAY. THE COMPANY THAT DID MY ROOF IS GOLDENHAMMER ROOFING THEY CALLED THIS COMP AS NY SO BOTH ARE SAYING THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. NEITHER ARE WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NOT HAPPY

I got ripped off by this company for thousands of dollars on a vehicle. They lied in the ad, and they were totally dishonest. Stay away!! Could even prosecute but choose not to.
