Ive been using Modern regularly for pest control. This morning I called and explained I had seen a black widow. The kind woman on the phone explained the technicians were behind but shed call me today with an ETA of when someone could get to me. Within 2 hours Dan had called and scheduled a time. When he arrived he took the time to understand the situation before recommending treatment. He wasnt pushy and we greatly appreciated his promptness, professionalism and care. Having pets and kids we were quite panicked to have a black widow inside!

Daniel was our representative. He was out for a regular service call and was sincerely caring about how effective the ongoing service was progressing. He made sure the house was protected and I really liked how he spoke so well of the company and how the owners cared for their employees. I think so much of that is missing in the Corporate structure. You take care of your people - they take care of their customers and business is WIN-WIN for everyone - the way it should be. True Value - extrinsically and intrinsically!

Daniel knocked out every type of insect the first service including the German roaches, didnt realize that was possible. Very thorough and helpful, he even wrote me this crazy diet plan that helped me lose weight super fast but in a healthy manner. Modern is more than just people who spray bugs, they are people who go a crazy amount out of their way to just make people happy, thats rare. Wish I knew about them sooner.

Daniel was my technician today. Very friendly, punctual, and informative. He brought the highest level of professionalism with him and was very considerate with my dogs. 10/10 recommend modern exterminating to anyone who is dealing with a bug problem or just general upkeep.

I work with Curtis. Hes great to deal with. He will ask all the questions to determine a great treatment plan. Ive used him for the past 5 years if not more. Ive had a handful of treatments other than General Pest Control, to include mosquitoes and fleas. After he comes through and treats the entire house I find all the dead spiders and bugs I needed gone. Give him a call and get set up!

This is our first time receiving a service from Modern. Everyone has been so friendly and knowledgeable! We are very happy with the customer service and will be continuing to use their service quarterly.

Called them and left a message and even filled out the information online for service to never hear back from them. I called to get a rude lady talking down to me saying the tech will contact you when they have time. That was Tuesday and here it is Friday. Guess they have enough money and dont want to work. Found someone better that called back the same day and was out to spray the next. But looking through the other reviews that are not 5 star this seems to be the way they do business.

I spoke with 3 people from Modern Exterminating. Each one was super sweet. They listened to what I had to say. They even came out THE DAY I called to set up service for the first time. They are AWESOME! Low prices, I ended up doing quarterly. Very informative. Took care of my spider problem. Thanks Daniel! The two ladies that set all this up for me, thank you so much !

Good customer service, Technician James was very good with information and professional and friendly. He and another technician came in my mothers house and sprayed, work was done right and professional, James came back for a check two times. I would recommend Modern Exterminator to anyone. John is very good at what he does and very knowledgeable. We had problems with spiders and German roaches at my job when I 1st started. Within a few months and a couple sprays everything is gone!

I had to reschedule because I got Covid but Daniel was extremely understanding and as soon as I was better came out. He was prompt and professional! Haven’t seen a single bug since then. Clown Car Operation. Can’t wait to read their response…oh that’s right…they don’t know what a response to customer is. Called All American Pest Control they will be here tomorrow! I’m beginning to think some companies flood google with good reviews to dupe ppl into calling them.

We had a problem with water bugs. They were constantly scaring my wife. After we started using modern Extermination, we have gone from seeing one every now and then to not seeing one at all. The fire ants have gone the way of the water bugs. It has definitely given my wife peace of mind. That is a really good thing.Thank you!!

Our extermintor Daniel is really helpful! He answered all my questions and did the work very professionally. All the roaches disappeared after a week or so. Highly recommend it!

They came in to perform an inspection and they took their time performing that inspection and made sure they provided all of the information I needed and all that I wanted to know. Fantastic place. I recommend them!

Called to get a WDIR inspection but they wouldnt provide the service unless I signed a service contract with them. Buyer beware, sounds like your typical Jax scam artist. Thanks but no thanks......plenty of other pest control businesses to choose from that are not scamming people.

Modern Exterminating has been around for years and is a great family business. We are in the habit of leaving our patio door ajar to let the dogs come and go. I had used Modern years ago for my previous home in Jacksonville. After seeing a few bugs coming in the house, I called Modern to enquire if they could service my home. I asked if Danny Hedgpeth (great reviews from my neighbors) could come out and and do an inspection to give me his thoughts on the issues I was experiencing. He was 5 star!!! Danny was very professional, explained the companys services, and only recommended what was needed. I highly recommend Modern Exterminating, all their technicians are highly trained, especially Danny.

Danny Hedgpeth was fantastic! I have called other exterminators from other companies and still had problems with bugs and the first time Danny came out he was very thorough and very knowledgeable. After the first treatment I haven’t seen a bug since! As long as Mr Hedgpeth is treating my house I will be a returning client!

Edit: Modern sent out a Representative to spray again (for free). He arrived early (called and asked if it was ok) which was great. He used a different formula from what he used the last time he came out. He went back through every room as he explained the formula. He then went back outside and sprayed around the outside of the house. He said if we still see bugs in a week, to give him another call, and he will come out as many times as needed. My husband and I agreed to stick with Modern for a while longer :)Thank you Modern for correcting the situation!We have been with Modern for about 9 years. We loved them. We even used them when we moved into our new home.Quality seems to have deteriorated over the years. I recently had service done. I called back after 2 to 3 weeks because we were still seeing roaches. I was told I would receive a call back, but I never did. It has been over a month (more than enough time for application to be effective) and we are still seeing roaches. I believe it is time to say goodbye to Modern, and spend our money on a reliable service. Its been a good run.

I recently used Modern Exterminating for the first time (they had previously been servicing the home my husband and I recently purchased). I was very pleased with the ease of scheduling, the communication, and most importantly, our tech, Michael Burch. Michael was so friendly and polite and was very knowledgable and thorough. I plan on calling him again in a few weeks to service our rental home as well. I would (and will) highly recommend Modern Exterminating and Michael Burch!

I’m a local realtor and use modern exterminating regularly for my clients termite inspections. They are very knowledgeable, quick to respond and always eager to help. You can definitely trust them to get the job done!

I forgot to pay my bill for like... a really long time and there was some miscommunication because I moved (twice!). The lady working was very friendly and helpful. Service has always been prompt, friendly, and competitively priced.

I have used this company for five or six years and the service seemed to be adequate up until last week. I called the company the week of June 15-20 and told them I was selling my house on July 1st. I asked for a quote on what it would cost to transfer the service to the new owner. The receptionist told me it would cost $10 to transfer the service and $45 for the termite inspection required for the buyers VA loan. I thought everything was fine until I looked at the final closing statement and realized they charged me $193. When I saw this I was immediately upset because I felt like I had been mislead on the pricing(my Realtors pest control company offered a good deal but I chose to stay with Modern due to the price she quoted me). I called the office and spoke one of the office receptionists. We went back and fourth and she told me there was no way one of the other receptionists would give me a quote like that. As you can imagine I didnt appreciate being called a liar or being mislead intentionally on pricing. We went back and fourth and she told me the owner would call me to discuss (he never did). As a long time member of the Military, Integrity is extremely important to me (I dont appreciate having mine questioned in the manner it was). I dont normally get upset over pricing as long as the company is up front on what the cost is and stands behind their product. That is not the case with Modern Exterminating! There are honest Pest Control Companies out there but this is not one of them. Choose who you pick wisely and dont go off inflated google reviews, (when I asked around after this happened I realized I had been duped by the inflated reviews when I choose the company). NEVER AGAIN!

Hired modern for termite inspection and signed up for the annual treatment plan, gotta say their follow through was great and the price was absolutely reasonable!

I chose this company because I saw a lot of reviews saying good prices and great service. So far I’m going to have to agree. I called yesterday and was told it may take one to two business days to have a technician call back.However he actually called me back the same day even tho I didn’t realize it until this morning. Called back and he was able to come out today. As soon as he came in and checked things out he knew right away what we needed. He was able to get a treatment done today. They are VERY reasonably priced compared to others I called and the best part is no contract. I would definitely recommend service from modern. Very quick response and friendly and easy to deal with.

I have recieved exceptional service from Modern, especially with Pest Technician, Michael Burch. Through his expert application, I was able to enjoy my outdoor space again! Recently, we began the relocation process to another (temporary) home. After initial cleaning, I wouldnt even consider moving my personal belongings in until after Michael had visited to treat the premises. As always, he was very thorough and professional in his treatment of the entire place.

Today, the technician Chris came to service my home. Chris was incredibly helpful in pointing out where the issues were as well as Helios expert explanations. Modern Exterminating has been our go to for termite inspection, indoor pest control and maintenance, as well as outdoor flea, tick, and mosquito control. Excellent Pest Service. Encountered flea critters that shouldnt be in my home as I have ZERO Pets not even a fish but I walked across someones grass and they attached themselves to my clothing. Turns out the heat is unbearable to not only to us but them as well. Also if the house that houses that many animals has all of the animals with a repellent then outside they have to attached to something or someone...my legs was their something.It was the worst week ever.I spoke to a young lady at modern and she got me in touch with the Pest Techs. Mr. Michael Burton, Pest Tech came out and made my home life so much better, I can sleep a little better now. He sprayed and sprayed and sprayed and yes sprayed. He also gave me specific instructions on what to do next after the insecticide settled. Even how to empty my dry vac and vacuum cleaner so not to have this happen again.I have been doing just as he said and its working. He was very reassuring and very honest. he said they will die off but all may not be gone at once. So Im seeing little ones and twos but nothing like I did last week. After almost 20 years of service with modern exterminating I got a cancellation letter because me and Chris could never meet up. We have been dealing with ongoing medical issues. And our schedules never came together get inspection done.

Jason, the tech who has been doing our termite service for more years than I remember is a real pro at his job. His friendly, helpful and get the job done right attitude is refreshing. Our technician, Dan Leonard, was efficient and easy to work with. He did a wonderful job and the church yard was clear of fire ants in time for the Pumpkin Patch. We highly recommend both Dan & Modern Exterminating.

Absolutely blown away by the business ethics of this company. Charged me for the previous owners fees and instead of changing the costs they told me it was a reinstatement fee instead yet the charges never changed. Never paid the $300 charge for one year and they sent it to collections without a contract but just a receipt for inspection to make sure there are no termites. Be careful using this company do not sign anything unless you plan to use them!
