Very surprised this top branded hotel chain failed miserably. Interacted with 4 employees during my stay of which 2 were exceptional and the other 2 need different jobs where courtesy and customer service is not required. My room faced the pool, and although pool hours are specific, why is the seating area adjacent to the pool not restricted too? Guests are allowed to sit out there as late as 2:36 a.m., disturbing others. I could hear children, past midnight, talking loudly down the hallway. Do yourself a favor and ask to be placed on a high floor facing away from pool and lounging areas, and perhaps a non-traffic corner. Very disappointing to pay $300+ for 2 nights of misery.

The room us spacious, nice. The staff is very nice. The down fall of this place, is no complimentary breakfast. The room doesnt have a microwave and not housekeeping service. I am paying $810.00 for a weekend getaway for nothing but a bed and shower. Very disappointed.

The room was very clean and very nice. The area wasnt bad either, and parking is local to building so your vehicle will be ok. The parking area also had room towards the back to accommodate bigger trucks and trailers if thats what you have. The staff was super friendly, inside had a bistro, Starbucks coffee, and swimming pool. The only things I dont understand is the shower base, who designed that? That would be my only complaint is the Great Lake we created from the shower water going everywhere but the shower drain.

Very clean and comfortable. For the price, I was impressed with the quality. Definitely the nicest hotel in Jacksonville. My one disappointment was that there was a stand up shower and no bath tub. I was kinda looking forward to a tub but idk if that was something I had to request or if there is just no option for one

Amazing location. Clean lobby and hotel room. The pool is open contrary to the website. The site still asks guests to wear masks in common spaces which made us feel a little more comfortable. The staff are warm and friendly. You do have to get extra towels from the front desk which was not an issue for us. The wall paper in the hallway is peeling; small aesthetic flaw. The pool was right where are window was located and the guests using the pools were a little loud for a week day night (close to 10pm). What matters most is the staff were nice and my room was clean. I would visit this location again in the future.

Terrible. Check in went well. Evening Staff was not very pleseant. Called to first let then know the AC was not working. Was put in hold for 8 minutes and finally gave up. Called again to ask for thicker or bigger pillows (disabled vet with a bad back) lady chuckled and said we are are maxed capacity but Ill check. Was put on hold again - gave up after a 4 minute hold. Could have complained about being in a room next door to the elevator. Didnt. Understanding of the hotels situation. But being rude, I dont accept. Respectful and polite Customer Service is not hard. For 240$ a night was expecting a little more.

Our stay was excellent, The staff was extremely friendly. The room was extremely clean and cozy. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable with helping us with all of our needs. When we called to book our stay I spoke with Melissa and she made us feel comfortable booking our stay with them. I have never dealt with someone so kind, courteous and professional like her. If you are looking for a place to stay I highly recommend this place.Sincerely Mr. & Mrs. Dean

My daughter and friends checked in around midnight 1 am after a long day of travel. They were given a room. Once they got to the room they found a man sleeping IN the room. The front desk told them “oh he was supposed to move rooms” which means, they don’t clean? gave them a new room and upon check out while looking over the room for belongings they found a used syringe under one of the beds. This is absolutely unacceptable!!!! This is absolutely unacceptable! Never again!!!

At first, I wasnt thrilled with this place. AT FIRST. Then an employee named Erica completely changed my view on the last nite I was there. They were pretty busy when I first arrived & I was a little frazzled from the 12 hr drive. I arrived an hour early & the super busy lady at the desk was low key rude. Not really rude...just very busy & it was past her time to clock out. After she left, the rest of the employees were amazing but, Erica went above & beyond. She made sure I truly enjoyed my last nite there. The place was super clean & very well taken care of. Its close to everything & there is a restaurant downstairs plus, gas stations & other restaurants within walking distance.

Very nice hotel, Friendly staff, rooms are exactly like the pictures clean neat newly renovated look. I took off one star because I asked the front desk to have someone change the bedsheets while I was out and she stated they were too “busy”. My sheets were never changed. Besides I had a lovely stay will book again if needed.

Arguably the best and most decent hotel in town. All other hotels in the area seem aged and not as clean.

Please be aware that they seem not to know how to take care of their clients. They fail to instruct you on all aspects of how their house keeping services are performed. I would suggest that you review all aspects to their services.

We had an excellent room with two queen beds and a sitting area with a pull out couch and a large desk. Our daughter is close by so convenience was part and parcel. We will stay here again, for sure.

I was there for a conference in the main conference room. The main facilities were great however, there was not enough wall receptacles for everyones laptop. Recommend preplacent of extension cords with cord savers for center isle and sides away from power receptacles.

I stay approximately 100 a year at different hotels in this by far has been the best service Ive ever received. Business travelers take note everything you need to conduct business is here. You can conduct meetings, interviews, meet with clients its all under one roof and close to the base. I cant say enough about the service I received. Thank you so much

Positive: The location is good, the room/hotel were very nice. Negative: A Cat 1 hurricane came through and the power went out for hours. There was no generator or emergency lights in the stairwell and staff didn’t help with luggage. It was hot and there was no food available. We had to leave.

Great stay, about 20 nights for work.

They will not hire you unless you wear a face mask. Face shield is not acceptable, either. So those with any kind of breathing problems (like me) need not apply. General Manager seems like the kind of guy who likes to throw his weight around and be the big man on campus anyway. So really, who wants to work with that?

No microwave in room, no maid service, shower door leaked onto floor. You have to pull your trash, towels etc then ask for whatever you need. Beds arent made, no fresh towels unless you ask. No free breakfast.

Outstanding service and people

I stayed here for ten days and for the most part it was not bad. I will list the issues and the way I had to resolve my issues. I will also post photos for you to view. To start my room was nice yet the refrigerator was not plugged in and I lost over fifty dollars worth of food for my son and I. The resolve by the representative at the front desk was nice and almost worth what they offered. Notice I stated almost. My push back is the manager allowed for a food voucher for up to forty dollars. The problem was I had to use it all at once. The representative requested points to my Marriott Bon Voy account. That was appreciated. The next morning I requested a meeting with the manager. We spoke and I let him know that using the voucher all at once was not reasonable. He denied my request and stated it was Marriotts policy. The resolve to this issue was me calling Marriotts customer service. The resolve from Marriotts customer service representative was I received extra points and they will mailing a fifty dollar coupon for my lost food items. What struck me the most was the customer service representative I spoke with agreed my request was not unreasonable. My request was also within the managers authority.1. Internet in the business area did not allow for log onto email account note in photo.2. Damage to the ceiling unrepaired.3. Price at restaurant over priced.4. I am not asking for less I am stating should you price food for that amount please make it worth me paying. Offer something that I will not get for less right next door or down the block.

I highly recommend the Courtyard by Marriott in Jacksonville NC. The staff there always treat me with the highest respect and with A plus customer service. They make you feel so welcome when you enter the front door. The rooms are neat, clean and comfortable. I refuse to stay anyplace else when I visit the area.

Relaxing stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, easy going for travel.

This hotel is beautiful. We were only in town for one night visiting. From check in until check out, staff were very nice and helpful. We were happy with the cleanliness of the entire property. The room was a nice size, we had plenty of room to relax after a long day of driving. It was cold during our stay, so were only in the outside pool/patio area for a short time, but it also very nice. The convenience of the 24 hour market/ Starbucks on site was nice.

Every staff members I’ve talked to has been extremely kind, has gone above and beyond to fix mistakes I’ve made! I’ve never experience customer service like this from any major business. We will definitely be booking with this hotel again

The price was great. The hotel is clean. The staff was very friendly. The cafe, bar, outdoor area and pool were always spotless. The rooms were clean and spacious with coffee maker and mini fridge. Close to restaurants and 30 minutes to Emerald Isle Beach. Quiet location. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoying our stay. Bar tender is friendly. Our room had no electricity when we arrived. It was immediately fixed with a flip of a breaker.

Exemplary service and Marriott quality of “management by walking around.” General Manager stopped by our breakfast table to inquire about our accommodations at her property. As a Titanium member and student of the Marriott philosophy of management, her unsolicited customer interaction impressed me. Superb front desk staff especially young lady from Jamaica and the very tall young lady. As a Franchise property it definitely has corporate qualities. Highly recommended. Great beds.

We just finished our 2nd stay at this hotel in the last 6 months. This is our go to hotel for the area. Rooms are always clean, and comfortable. But what really sets this place apart from other hotels in the area is their customer service and professionalism. I really appreciate their cheerful and helpful countenance. It is what sets this hotel apart.

The room, bathroom, lobby, amenities, and wifi, as well as staff were all very nice, however it’s fairly far down western blvd and the location doesn’t give to many options for bars/ restaurants/ fun without having to either walk, rent a vehicle, or call an uber. Otherwise it was very nice

I liked everything about this hotel. Employees were gracious and personable . Immediately walking into the room I could tell it was clean and well taken care. It is usually difficult for me to sleep at hotels but the bed here was very comfortable and I didn’t have any concerns with the cleanliness of the bed. The Bistro staff were just as pleasant and willing to go the extra mile .

The staff at The Courtyard Marriot in Jacksonville is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed all of the amenities, and the room was modern, cozy, and very clean. I will definitely be returning to this hotel next time I am in Jacksonville!

We loved the fitness room and the abundance of places to lounge and relax in the lobby and outside. Also, we loved the extra 250 points for each day we did not need housekeeping. That is a great idea! This hotel is also in a great location--plenty of restaurants and stores nearby!

We were looking for the best hotel that would be close to Richland and you were the best of the best to chose from. The exterior was very appealing and the interior was very nice. Liked having a lot of windows and sitting areas where you could sit down and enjoy a drink, wait for your traveling companions or just check your email. Nice to have reading material as well. The room was very spacious and had a nice décor. Wonderful shower and again enough room .

We booked 3 rooms for my son’s beach wedding weekend. The event was low key and small, and since he was on a 3 day liberty from the Marine Corp, we wanted a low stress, laid back time together. Our stay provided exactly this! The staff was so accommodating, the pool was beautiful and not overly crowded, chairs and lounge chairs were always available. Our rooms were well appointed and nicely decorated. Super comfy beds and a choice of pillow firmness too. I will definitely return to the Jacksonville Courtyard when I’m able!

An amazing staff...exceptional customer service from the time I checked in (so impressed with service desk, I offered her a job...I think she thought I was kidding...I was not) during a huge event at the hotel. Outstanding service across the entire staff. Excellent - clean room - comfortable bed too. This courtyard sets the new standard and I travel a lot - platinum member of Marriotts. A rare experience. Hotel was clean and check in was great. Convenient location. Dining offered good food although the young lady working there on the morning we ate breakfast seemed as though she needed to get a few hours of sleep in one of the comfortable hotel beds (grumpy).

Stayed here for our anniversary and our daughter got engaged the same weekend. The property was modern and very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor patio every evening and loved the ambiance. Staff was friendly and we would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here twice with family, the price of the rooms are decent. The Hotel staff are very nice, respectful, and helpful. They went out of their way multiple time to accommodate us. Rooms are very clean, and bed very comfortable to sleep in, I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again!!!

We checked in around 4am, we were exhausted. We did not have a reservation but the gentleman that checked us in was very nice and got us in quickly so we could get some rest. Very clean and nice room. Super comfy bed!

The rooms are great. The couch in the king rooms is nice and comfy to sit on. The bed was comfortable and the colors & design were aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. From the minute I checked in, everyone was very kind, helpful, and made me feel welcome. The photos I have seen online for this hotel are representative of the room in which I stayed. If you are disturbed by others around you, I would suggest choosing the top floor bc I could clearly hear the people (kids running, yelling, falling, crying) above me.

Great place! Maddie at the desk is the best! We called her, Very desperate, from the 2nd hotel we went to. Both places were dumps. We explained our situation & she got a room for us ASAP. She gave us both hugs when she saw how exhausted we were. She needs a raise, a promotion or a better shift! She is truly a gift! Hotel was clean, friendly, great pool & bistro. We will be back & recommend 100%.

Love it just no microwave in room

The hotel is great. The staff is extremely courteous, from the front desk to the servers at the restaurant. They have been trained to provide excellent customer service. Everyone smiled, and were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel has a very nice décor, so whoever designed it did a great job. It has the feel of an expensive hotel without the price tag. The room was also really nicely decorated with a very modern and hip feel to it, but most importantly it was very relaxing and had a great TV mounted on the wall. I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel, as did my colleagues. The manager and staff did a great job in accommodating us for the meeting we had, and were very professional.

The service was incredible. The location was nice, near to plenty of restaurants. The pool area was well kept and nicely furnished. The rooms were very modern and nice.there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel which was convenient. Complaints include that there was no microwave in the room and no complimentary breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard while visiting with our Marine. It was very clean and new. We enjoyed sitting in the lobby which was spacious and had outlets for our phones. The outside area around the pool looked very nice with tv and fireplace in a covered area. There are plenty of good food choices in the area. We even walked to Longhorn Steakhouse one night. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Had a wonder stay at this property during the Thanksgiving holiday. Excellent customer service and extremely friendly staff. They also allowed me to check in early to accommodate my needs.Highly recommended!!

I am pleased with the prompt attention and professional/ courteous service provided to me and my professional colleagues who stayed at the Courtyard Jacksonville. From the accommodating lobby/ business center to the lounge/ front-desk area. All of the hotel employees that I came in contact with were there to meet our every need and make us feel right at home. My stay convinced me that my next trip back will be at the Courtyard!

The room was comfortable for a two week stay. Staff was very nice and always helpful. During the two weeks, I opted to have my room cleaned every 3 days. It was nice to not have someone in the room every day but I don’t feel like they did as thorough of a job. Other then that, happy with my stay

My reservation dates were mixed up upon arrival. The front desk personnel was a bit uncooperative at first and then she tried to help. She told me she got the dates fixed and that I was ok. Once checking into room I discovered roach bugs crawling around. I called front desk and they offered to change my room. The next morning I get a call from manager telling me rudely that my room wasnt paid for and that I needed to take care of it. I explained to him that the person who checked me in had taken care of it and that I waited for about 30 minutes before she corrected the dates. I went down to front desk to find out what was going on and the manager became very rude saying that he was going to charge my card again and that he didnt care about what the front desk personnel told me. That was a threat and he didnt even apologize or mention the roach incident. He then told me he was the with me. This is very disturbing and unprofessional at the least. I will call the corpse office to see why theyre treating their members as such. This location manager needs more training.

Clean rooms, great Serv CE, and friendly!!! Near restaurants and coffee shops

Its a business hotel. Not a resort, not a destination, but a good place for a business person to stay for a few days. The staff makes the stay a pleasant experience. The court yard was decent for a small gathering to get work organized and a small pool to cool off after a long day. A clean small fitness center to blow off steam and get the heart going in the morning or evening. Rooms are clean comfortable and plenty of outlets to charge everything. A good sized desk to get work done. Missing was a safe which would of completed the room.

Very good location. Rooms were in good condition and were nicely laid out. Service was generally pleasant, but there was one caveat. Instead of having a continental breakfast, they run a breakfast restaurant. Everything is expensive, the food isnt that good, and the service is very slow (my dad ordered oatmeal and it took them 20 minutes to make it even though they werent busy). In general the hotel was a great experience.
