From the very first time we met Ginny I knew that I had made the best decision to try Sylvan. He has only had a few sessions, but I can tell that his attitude towards learning math has taken a major shift! I highly recommend Sylvan for anyone with a child who is struggling academically! You won’t be disappointed.

This is a great place. I went here when I was a child and it helped me a lot. So when my daughter needed help I called them first. My daughter was barely reading and now she is reading and have a lot more confidence in herself. The staff communicate very well and are very nice people.

I am very satisfied with the staff and tutors. My son is four and they are helping him to learn and get acclimated to the structure of a classroom. They are doing a great job.

Sylvan is really helpful for my son. He gets a good understanding of subject he is learning. It is very helpful for my son’s education. Teachers are very good. Ginny and Laura do an awesome job at communicating with parents. My son enjoys sylvan!

Sylvan was the best investment I made in 2020. My six grade student was struggling in mathematics.At the closing of the fifth grade 2020 school year she walked through the doors of Sylvan. We couldnt have made a better decision for our sons education. We have been homeschooling our son for a few years now and since he was in Kindergarten he has struggled with reading. We tried all kinds of methods at home to help him crack the code for reading and we just kept spinning in circles it seemed until we took him to Sylvan Learning of North Jacksonville. He is NOW reading and everyday improving his reading and communication skills.We have loved everyone at Sylvan. They provide a safe and encouraging space for our son to learn and are so positive. He loves going and he told me the other day its his favorite part of they day.We are so thankful we made the decision and investment in his education to help him get on the proper path to reading and enjoying it.

This place is amazing!! They really care about the kids and helping them learn while making it fun. The staff if absolutely wonderful. Also, very mindful of things such as wearing masks, social distancing, divider screens and sanitizer. All around wonderful environment and wonderful staff!

This place is amazing. My son has some learning disabilities, and they way the staff works with him and gets him excited to attend is wonderful to see. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs extra help.

Great Staff & Great TutorsI am very grateful for this place. My son Kahwi gets a lot of opportunities from their program. His grades have improved a lot since I enrolled him and he is able to practice what he can not in class. The tutors that work there are very nice and we appreciate them a lot. I am very satisfied with Sylvan.

My 10-yr old son completed 70 hours of Reading and Writing over this summer at the Dunn Ave center, and I couldnt be happier with the results. Hed always been able to keep his head just above water, but he had so many gaps that it was impacting his confidence and worried us with middle school only a year away. I wish we had done this a year ago! The staff is very accommodating, friendly, super organized, and clearly committed to the success of the kids. I enjoyed getting to know them, and not once did my son ever complain about going to summer school - he genuinely liked being there. If we lived in the area, we would have kept him going through the school year for some additional fine-tuning and confidence building, but were only in Jax during the summers (sadly, we have nothing like Sylvan near home). With that in mind, well likely enroll him again next summer, even if its for a shorter, refresher program. Its worth every penny. Do it! :)P.S. To be fair, I should note that I used to work for Sylvan years ago (elsewhere, not locally), so Im naturally biased toward the company. But I said then that if I ever had a child who needed help in school that I would find the nearest Sylvan and enroll him. I respected my experience with Sylvan that much. That was 14 years ago, and its exactly what I did ;).

My daughter started Sylvan on Dunn Avenue in March. She has showed improvement on reading. She has more self-confidence in herself. The teachers and staff are outstanding.

My son has benefited from the teachers at sylvan with assistance in reading and comprehension. They formulated a plan specific to his needs. They continue to help him establish the skills he needs for challenging comprehensive testing. Teachers are patient and they provide good customer service.

We started Sylvan about a year ago when our child was failing math and reading. They helped us identify where we needed help and worked to backfill some basic skills we were missing. We raised our math grade to a B and now we are focused on reading.The instructors build good rapport with the kids and everyone is very friendly. They communicate with the teachers at school to make sure they keep them updated on where progress is made during tutoring.My child is much more confident and always leaves Sylvan smiling.

My son has really enjoyed his time at Sylvan. The staff truly cares about him and his progress. We meet monthly to go over his lesson plans and review skills he has mastered, working on and what skills he will start working on next. I truly appreciate how willing the staff is to work with our schedules to ensure my son has the best experience. We couldnt be happier with Sylvan.

Sylvan has made a huge difference in the way my son does his homework. His handwriting has improved and he now writes in cursive. Sylvan builds learning plans specifically for the individual and I believe that is was makes all the difference.

A good place for tutoring everyone is vary polite and patient also there are even prizes for the kids that do a good job

I have had a good experience with this branch of Sylvan. My son enjoys the teachers and staff and they make the parents feel welcome. It has been great as a tool to keep my son learning through out the summer, I highly recommend them.

My son damion goes to the Sylvan on Dunn ave the north side location in Jacksonville Florida, and its only been a month and let me say that their tutoring is a true blessing .
