Awesome yard. East side auto salvage was trying to charge me $125 for a tail light. Foss had it for $20. Best yard in town

Answering service ladies are great as they give you good advice and honest. SChastain is very professional and friendly in taking care of being able to recycle my old 25 outdoor electrical cord and make a $1.00, which is better than the trash container. Keep up the good work and treating people good.

Called to ask a few questions and was hung up on before getting a chance to ask. Called back several times and got voicemail. Junkyard shouldn’t mean junk service.

Cheap and convenient. East side auto Salvage wont pull parts until you show up. Even when you show up you sit around for hours because theyre taking care of their high dollar customers first. Then its 50/50 whether they actually have the part or not. So save your time and money and head over to FOSS. You pay a dollar to get in. You bring your own tools and now you can bring battery operated sawzall. Find your vehicle or another year and make that has the same part. Put in some sweat equity to get it and save yourself time and money. Prime example: Marine Chevrolet wanted $2000 to replace an engine wiring harness. I went to FOSS and got one for $30 put it in myself and now my vehicle is fixed. Plus if you have car batteries hanging out in your garage, FOSS will turn them into cash.

I called to verify if they had a vehicle with the parts I needed and was told they had a vehicle to match. Upon arriving they told me they did not have a vehicle and referred me to their new u pull it lot but could not give me any contact information for the new lot. I drive to the new lot just to be told that their lot had been closed for several months and that thre workers at foss new that and shouldnt have sent me over. Worse customer service I have ever experienced.

Has a decent selection. but seriously why change your hours to closing at 1130 on the weekends. SOME people have a job and cant make it there during the week day. Closing at 2 would be much better. Either you got a lot going on and you dont get there before 11 or your in the middle of something and you got to leave. please fix hours for Saturday!

Had an excellent experience getting a new hood for my car. I was surprised that it was $1 to rummage through the yard for what I wanted, but my parts were cheaper than anywhere else in town. The lot was fairly clean and organized as far as salvage yards go, and if youre willing to look for the vehicle you need, then you can grab everything you might need. Ill definitely be back!

Ja
Review №17

Terrible. Dont bother calling, they will not answer and dont bother leaving a message, they NEVER call you back. Their online list is inaccurate, row52 is a complete joke. Drove 35 minutes one way only to find out everything they said they had online isnt there. Then I was going to get 2 headlamp assemblies, just under $50 for the pair with a 40% discount. These headlamps are $55 new for a pair. Left them there. Total waste.

They set the price for busted riding mowers at $100, regardless of condition. They probably paid $15 for them. I used to buy them for $50, so they were making $ already. Just plain greedy and unreasonable.

I came in today (7-16-19) to get the tires off of a chyrsler van that I scrapped with them. First off, thank you Jesus for James! He went above and beyond what he was probably required to do or Even regularly able to do within his job. He was super patient and did his best to make sure I received the best help possible even in the HEAT, and it was blazing hot. Not once did I feel rushed or recieved any negativity from him. I was able to get my tires off after all. Thanks Foss Recycling and Thank you James.

Definitely not their La Grange location. Young lady at the front was of absolutely no help. Didn’t ask what I was looking for, nor try to point to the the area of the yard I would find my makes and models. A lot of these vehicles are pretty well stripped of a lot of parts. I do believe I will not come back to this location.Yard was clean and mostly clear of debris and clutter. No customer bathroom is another downside.

Not even open on the days that people dont work that are able to fix their own vehicle so what good is going to get an auto part if the auto salvage is closed that makes no sense you should be open when were working youre encouraging people to go get it fixed from a shop. Thats horrible businessSee closed on red

Seems like every time i go there; their computers are down or acting up. It makes it a really miserable visit when its during the hot seasons. And not only that but theres always like 2 people working and they can only do so much but the workers are nice even though theyre working their fingers to the bone. I respect them for that. But i would recommend J&E Salvage on Blue Creek Rd.. The workers can be rude sometimes but you get top dollar for everything you bring. They know what theyre doin. And 95% of the time youre in and out between 15-20 minutes depending on what youre bringing in. But for the most part theyre organized and time manageable. Fosss gets the copper type wrong ALOT i think mainly because theres only 2 or 3 workers and sometimes 10-20 people coming in it happens but i have to correct the mistakes afterwords and its all electronic so if you dont spot it before you scan your receipt its a huge pain and not even worth going back through unless its a major amount. I let probably what could of been 3 almost 4 dollars slide once because i was there for over n hour and there was only maybe 5 people ahead of me that didnt even have much of nothing to scrap. But I made out with about $55. I didnt care AT ALL about the copper they got wrong I was outta there. So I most certainly DO NOT recommend Foss Recycling.(GO TO J&E SALVAGE) They dont rely on computers and a big money machine. They have a person and a calculator. And if theres a mistake it gets fixed right away.

They charge you high dollar for junk yard parts. Ex. Distributor cap, coil, and map sensor off a truck in the junkyard they were gonna charge me $78.32. I could go to autozone and get those parts for around the same price new. I will never be back.

First time to go to such a place. feels good. The ticket costs one dollar, register it. Suitable for people who understand some car principles. There should be a hundred cars. So you must seriously find out if you have what you want. It is recommended that the first time person bring the necessary tool box.
