They have been doing this for years now. If there is nobody needing to be checked out, they are working floor stocking and cleaning. This takes away from good service. Every time Ive gone there, the isles are crowded with merchandise.

Great customer service by the cashier that checked me out. I love the $5 off deal when I spend at least $25 on Saturdays. Additionally, I like the discounts I get from the Digital coupons downloads on DG online website. I love a good deal and Dollar General always have great deals.

I love the young woman that manages that store on Northside Drive and Flag Chapel.

Usually have everything I go in for. Some items are a little pricey. If items are in the clearance bin, they should be more then 5¢ off. When some of us see a clearance sign we expect to see things go from $5 to $1 not from $5 to $4.50.. Wheres the deal at?

Employees and management seem to be very nice and helpful except for one named April. April never speaks or says hello or greets as I enter, yet every other employee always greets me. I come here and shop here often but am going to choose to spend my money elsewhere. On Tuesday, March 3, 2020 I was in the store and picked up a couple of items. I was going to purchase 2% milk but most all was out of date with some being as much as 2 weeks out of date. I told the employee this as I was proceeding at check out, and I was totally ignored as if I wasn’t there. I said it about three times and all three times I received no response from the young lady. Today on Thursday March 5th, I am again in the store with same employee and no greeting or hello. A very rude-like non-polite environment. The milk is still out of date but I didn’t bother to tell the same employee as I would only be ignored. The same employee exhibits no sense of professionalism in that myself as well as other customers I see, seem to most times have to wait for her to come out of the office to the register so products can be purchased. When at register, it is hardly ever known who employee is talking to because there is always earbuds in and she seems to always be talking on the phone. I frequent many Dollar Generals and purchase many items weekly from several, but the store at 1095 W Highway 80 in Jackson, MS is terrible at this current time. Being polite goes a long way and being unfriendly to a customer can cost a particular store that customer for a long time if not forever. Keeping fresh milk helps as well. I’m shocked that after bringing that to the lady’s attention, I was totally ignored and couple days later the milk still there, still out of date.

Im becoming more and more disappointed w Dollar General at all locations, just in general. The attitudes of the employees are never good anymore. They act as if you are bothering them by shopping at the store. And the secret shoppers that stalk us when we walk through the door... at least put something in your basket and stop staring, you supposed to be incognito

I love the kindness of the staff. I am always treated with respect as well. Your new manager is an absolute joy! Always polite every time. Kudos to Dollar General on hwy 80 just off of hwy 18. I use no other.

Dollar General is more of a general store than a dollar store. It has great variety and decent prices. The customer service is decent could be far better if they didnt run on a skeleton crew most of the time. They generally have great parking. All in all they are not a bad place to shop. They are especially good for quick stop shopping.

Hi! Hope this helps. I go to dollar general everyday. Been doing this for the past 9years. Its been the worst. But... The store and enters are the best theyve had in years and the store looks great. I usually have a good experence at this store. There is however a daytime cashier that is extremely rude to me and my family members. It does not seem to matter if we shop together or separately. I feel that maybe it could be a prejudice Situation. We are white and the cashier is black. She does not seem to treat the other customers like she does us. 99% of tht customers are black.

The cashier was talking on her cell phone while ringing customers up. Also I left my wallet in the car and I told her I will be right back and they put my stuff back on the shelf. Therefore I had to go back and get the item and get at the end of the line. They were very unprofessional.
