I don’t know her first name, but her last name is curry. It seems as if she just gives out medication that she knows nothing about. She never told us what it did or the side effects and we would always have to look it up ourselves. My family should not have to look up the medication we are given. We should be told what it is actually for and the side effects. You guys really need to hire better doctors who actually know what they are doing.

Awful. I went through 5 doctors during my time there. The last one I saw before i left prescribed me a medication that was supposed to help me sleep, but it was for schizophrenia, BPD, and a few other things. She didn’t tell me it would make me gain weight, and I ended up gaining around 50 pounds in a month. And I still can’t get the weight off no matter what I do. That is an awful thing to do to a child who you know has major body image issues. I would not recommend going here at all!

I have been a patient at Hinds for some time now. I’ll start with the front desk. The front desk is rude, sad to say I am use to the light skinned one on the left. I have complained to the office manager who can’t do anything with her staff seems like it. I have complained several times with no changes made. There has been a high turnover with my doctors AND therapist. I recently found out that my current provider is leaving AGAIN! As well as my therapist. (What are y’all doing to the GOOD people?!) This will be about my 4th or fifth one. I have throughly enjoyed Mrs. Tempestt Butler. She’s personable, attentive, & respectful. She even sees my cousin children and have made a difference with them too. They should hire more doctors and front desk workers like her.

Hinds Behavioral Health Services - Region 9 I called . Unfortunately I missed my appt on yesterday I called to see if I could get a refill dealing with anxiety bc I was out of one the prescriptions and I wasn’t scheduled for another appt until the 17th . I was told that ms tempestt butler said no she’s not going to refill anything and I’m going to have to go without to learn responsibility .. basically saying she doesn’t care if I go without the meds are if side effects start to trigger bc of not Being able to take the correct dosage . That was beyond rude . I never heard any one talk like that .. that was my first time even missing an appt & this wasn’t even my fault that they didn’t update the number to reach me ..I do not recommend this place at all. They don’t care it’s all about the money

The service is absolutely horrible. You are given appointments only to still be waiting hours later. Dr Londy is the biggest quack in Mississippi. He is definitely only there for themoney. Shame on Hinds County for using him.

I was a patient there. The facility is very nice. The staff is polite. I enjoyed my sessions with my therapists. I am not fond of the medicine prescribed by the doctors yet I am fine.

I had to take off work to do my intake because they said they only did intakes 1 day a week. But they promised I could get all my other appointments on my day off. (Wednesday). They set up my Dr appointment & said they would call with counseling appointment. The counseler called but she did not work on Wednesday so I was told someone else would be in touch with me. (Which was false) and they cancelled my Dr appointment. Do not go there unless you can be on their schedule. Which I cant because I work.

The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. No communication between front desk and physicians. Very disorganized which is scary in the mental health world. Had an experience with a doctor in a Nut Shell, that I had to accept what my new “normal would be” I had to Descide between being anxious and depressed OR numb....and then tell me that good anxiety meds cause weight gain which would make them have a panic attack 😵.. hmmmm not very professional if you ask me. I do not feel this type of facility is good for any patient especially needing psychiatric help

I cant think of a clinical facility I hate more ( if it can even be considered a real clinical facility). Basic therapy treatment and psych treatment is below average; the adminstration tells lies about services available, what they can help you with... Those higher up really dont care. There are some sick, pathetic and insecure staff members at this facility who find ways to discredit patients and undermine the quality of their care. They will lie and say they can do xyz and then go back and tell whatever you complained about. Been at the facility for years and in the beginning, front desk staff was rude and would talk about you right in front of you. Dont even think about requesting to change PsycMD or therapist. You will be questioned as if you dont have a right to customized care; thats exactly whats missing, customized care. Dont go here if you want to be treated like youre dumb or are out of your mind and dont realize people are disrespecting you.
