My time at Geotech started when I was in a very low point in life. I was given an opportunity to learn a field of business that was completely foreign to me. I was given the tools i needed to succeed and the push that made me do so. The owner is a man of passion for his work. Like any passion you feel strongly and want the best to be put out there. Personally he is a good man who only wants the best for you. He pushes you in his own way and not everyone can handle it. But he only wishes to see you succeed and believes you can do it if you actually put forth the effort. He is a like a strong cup of coffee and not everyone likes it but some do.

I’m working in GET from almost a year now and I should say if you want to start your career as a Project Manager in Geotech field this is the best place to do it. Mr. David A. I started here about seven months ago aspiring to become a mud man on a drilling rig in West Texas someday, but the potential for growth from within here is so great that I never want to leave. Im a drillers helper in the soils department, and if you want to work, the money is there. Never in my life have I recieved vacation pay along with the opportunity to work that day if I wanted (doubling your money or more), and thats pretty amazing. Also plenty of hands on training by crew chiefs that want you to learn, not holding your future or any information back.

I started working as a soil technician for GET some 30 years ago and Mr. David A. Eastwood personally trained me and turned me into a professional. He always treated me with out most respect and tolerance. He educated me in such way that later on I went and became a successful civil engineer and I owe all this to David Eastwood. Today, I still work at his company and I feel indebted to him for all of my life successes. I am pretty sure that Iranian trying to be American boss forced his employees to put 5star. This guy will put you in slavery because you are in OPT or H1B. He will put you for 55hrs/week and free rudeness. Dont go there !

I had signed proposal for testing to be done to my property almost three weeks in advance. I planned travel of 3 hrs just to be there and they cancelled the job less than 24 hrs before my drilling was supposed to take place. Crazy thing is I called them to confirm the appt and they called me back 10 minutes later and cancelled. Totally unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find another company.

They do not consider ASTM at all.

It’s been over 10 years since I started at Geotech however this was by far the most organized company. I’ve taken my organizational skills that I’ve learned by working for DAE and have implemented them where needed and allowed. GET gave me an opportunity to learn and I’m forever grateful for that. DAE is a hard person but he’s also a kind heart. It’s business and it’s hard to work for someone that is so organized however if you’d listen and observe there is so much to learn from this place. If you practice his methodology, you will be one of the most hired geotechnical Engineers in Texas. I worked with him for 4.5 years and I so fortunate. I learnt a lot from this gentlemen. I miss this place like my house.People complaint that he is harsh at employees but he is like a military trainer. I am confident in this field of geotech, CMT, Environmental, and Forensic only because of Mr. David. I dedicate all my professional achievements to him. Without his guidance i am no one.

I am the Engineering Assistant at Geotech Engineering and Testing. Almost 13 years ago, in May of 2006 to be exact, I started working at this company (GET). I never knew there was soil testing companies and/or what they did. I came to an interview, then a second one and was then hired on to Geotech Engineering and Testing. Everyone always wants to put negative reviews when it doesn’t go right for them (old employees mostly). I have learned so much working here and I love my job. I thank Mr. David A. Eastwood, P.E., D.GE., DFE, C.A.P.M., F.ASCE for this job opportunity he has gave me for many many years and still standing. Yes, DAE may be strong of character at times (when needed), but once you learn him, he is an amazing human being. Not only has he gave me employment this long, but he’s been there for me when there was nobody there to help me. Personally, he is one of my biggest role models (HE BEAT CANCER!!!). Mr. Eastwood has come a long way and I know for a fact, he worked his butt off to get where he is at (not bragging, just stating facts). My respects go out to Mr. David A. Eastwood, P.E., D.GE., DFE, C.A.P.M., F.ASCE. FYI: David doesnt force anyone to put anything on here, if that were the case why hasnt someone said anything about it. Terrible customer service and communication.Was told I needed to be at the property to present payment. The guy called me at 4pm to tell me I was needed at 9am the next morning. Its a two hour drive one way. I was at my property at 9am and received a call at 9:15 and was told they were not coming. After that I could not get an update on when the work would be done and was given the run around for two weeks. Now they are hold my report for ransom.Look else where for services.

Clueless at best and their mistakes are costing me big time. They are cheap for a reason...

Called to get a quote for soil sample and was told, If you are calling and asking for a price, were not the cheapest. Call LoneStar. He then hung up on me. Very unprofessional and will never call them again.
