My catalytic converter needed to be replaced so I took my car to Fred’s to be fixed. He let me know about the emissions warranty and that since my car only had 66,000 miles on it that it would be covered by warranty!! I had no idea and have never even heard about this before. I’m so grateful that he saved me tons of money and gave me advice on what to do next. I will definitely use his shop again and appreciate his honesty so much. Thank you!!!

Im gonna come back and post when I get an estimate to fix my a/c. Normally they are very nice and fair. Ive used them before for my auto repair needs. Update , Fred told me that my a/c compresor had some leaks, so they sealed them, charged me over $500. I took it back twice because it wasnt cooling. The last time he said to replace the compressor, thats another$519.00. why didnt he replace it the first time. I spent over $1000.00. I feel very violated and ripped off. It is really bothering me. Im still trying to decide whether to sue .If the compressor was bad why not just replace instead of sealing it. They do good work, but I feel very ripped off. Ive used them plenty of times before, I just dont understand this

Took my car here after spending hundreds of dollars trying to correct the issue autozone diagnosed engine with. Fred gave me a rough estimate of price and time and actually saved me money and finished quicker than expected. Will be bringing my cars here in the future.

Lets start with the positive. The service was great and fast. The job done is great. I would have done it myself, but a professional like Fred took way less time and did the job correctly as expected. Last time I tried to change the alternator it took me the whole day and half of it was putting the serpentine belt back on. Rookie. With this 5 Stars.The only reason I took off two stars is because I got to work and I noticed someone had hit, scratch and dented my back bumper, driver side. It wasnt there before I dropped it off. When I went to pick up the car it took them 20 minutes to hand it over. I didnt think anything of the delay or the fact that it was sprayed over with water and dirt was rubbed over the damaged area. Maybe it happened while the car was being pulled out.I did not call them or went back demanding anything.I understand accidents happen and at least my bumper is still attached.I thank the mechanic for taking care of my car and fixing the damaged axel and coolant housing. I need it for my 45 minute commute to work. I still recommend them.

I dropped my truck off overnight. The front counter stated that i would receive a morning call with the report and that there wasnt an extensive wait. I had to keep calling as each time id have to call myself just to be told its still sitting outside. After 24 hours they finally looked at it, yet there was still no report. The front counter was rude and Fred himself was rude and unprofessional. This place was a waste of time. If you are ok with the price but willing to wait days for a diagnostic... Go for it.

Fred is very knowledgeable and most importantly HONEST! I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially women. A GOOD, HONEST mechanic is hard to find these days! Thanks Freddie!

So far so good with this auto repair shop. I had a two separate simple issues.1. Someone attempted to steal my catalytic converter off my truck2. The switches on the driver door we’re going out and my window wouldn’t come up.They welded the converter closed and they found me new part for my old truck.

Extremely unprofessional! I called and was told to bring my truck up. Got there rang the doorbell. No one answered. Went to one side the gate was locked then went to the other side. I didnt go through the gate. Them some employees comes around the corner very aggressively yelling and cussing at me. Such unbelievable behavior. There is absolutely no reason to act like that towards people. I dont know how this place is even in business!

These guys are awesome. Took my car in for some exhaust work. They explained what they needed to do in detail and told me that it could cost more than their quote if they have to pull the exhaust down because the area where the weld is going is pretty tight. They got it done quickly and at the original quoted price. Awesome service. Will definitely be back.

Fred and his guys do great work. I made the mistake of going to another shop for a tuneup. 5 visits later, my number 4 cylinder was missing and the other shop said I needed a head job and even recommended replacing the motor when absolutely nothing was wrong with it before their tuneup. Fred and his guys narrowed it down to a faulty plug and fixed it right up. Highly recommended.

I have dealt with Fred for awhile now. several of my vehicles have been here for exhaust work, every single time they do a great job. Nice clean welds, very professional. You can definitely tell these men love their job and their reputation. Keeps me coming back for sure.

I would not recommend Freds. I took my car in because the check engine light was on. They told me the issue was one of the o2 sensors. Initially, they quoted me one price, but tried to charge me a higher price when it was time to pay. After some back and forth, they finally agreed to go back to the lower price. Less than 24 hours after they completed work on my car, the check engine light was back on. I was told that the issue may be another o2 sensor and they cant be certain unless they replaced another sensor (for which they were going to charge me). Essentially, they were guessing as to what was wrong with my car and wanted me to pay for their guesswork. I ended up going to a Honda dealership to get the issue resolved. (The issue was not what the mechanic at Freds suggested). Very disappointed with my experience here.

Hands down. Best mechanic shop in Humble. Good and honest people. Dont bother going to the dealership. They will take care of you for a fraction of the cost.

Wanted to charge $125 for bolting up an axle back exhaust. 15 minute job with 4 bolts if you have a lift.Update: Went to Cliffords Car Care on 1960 and was charged $45 for the same job. Was done in 20 minutes.

I had a horrible experience with this shop. I took my car In running. I had a problem with my fuel gauge, they fix the fuel gauge problem and told me that I had a bad computer! I ordered a new computer and decided to let them put it on! They put the computer on but call me and told me that my car was running worst then when I brought it to them! They just push my car to the side and did not try to fix it are find the problem! I would not recommend any body to take their car to this shop for anything! The shop is located in Humble Texas on First Street!
