In from out of town for a wedding. Suddenly our car was making a loud scraping noise when making left turns. Didn’t know what was wrong or where to go to have it looked at. It was funny, our hotel desk clerk suggested Gateway and at same time my wife was texting our friends to see what they knew. They also recommended Gateway and since it wasn’t very far from our hotel, it seemed a no brainer. We got there right when they opened. They were very understanding of our situation. Fortunately it turned out to be a minor problem. In two hours they had it diagnosed and fixed. No more concerns about getting around for the wedding. Great job guys, especially in relieving all my wife’s worries. Nice people and at a fair price.

The staff was very transparent and communicative about my vehicle, providing constant status updates with photos and descriptive overviews. The prices are affordable and there was no pressure to make unnecessary repairs. Highly recommend!

I have used Gateway or Nicks other business (Nicks Automotive) for two decades now. Always been great. This particular time my daughters car wouldnt start all of a sudden. I called one day, was able to get it to the shop that night, and they squeezed me onto the schedule the next morning. Vehicle was done around noon. How many places does that happen? Wow.

Left message on a Holiday of a battery light on and we had a vacation coming up in a few days. They called me the next morning right away and got us in. They diagnosed it almost before we got home from dropping it off. Alternator was bad and they got it done for us by the next morning. Excellent service. This is the second vacation they saved in the nick of time for us. Use them.

Ive used Gateway twice now since recently moving to the area. Nick is super friendly and very professional. Im most impressed with how fast they do the work. And my vehicle is runs great after needed repairs. Sometimes when its that fast you question the quality of work but its definitely there! Will use them in the future. My 18-year old truck got a reprieve from its end of life, thanks to the folks at Gateway.I like the vehicle, but I realize that there are diminishing returns on any extensive repairs for a truck of this age. A worn out water pump replacement, and some small TLC service items was all that was needed. The cost of the service was far less expense than I anticipated. No upselling, and a fast turn around on the repairs will keep me coming back, and recommending Gateway Auto Care to anyone who will listen.Update 08/09/2021: Came back for some service on the drive train of my little old pickup. Straightforward, to the point, and a reasonable price for the service. It was expected to take a little longer, due to parts unavailability, but they arrived, and the service was done in less time than expected. I am impressed, and would refer anyone who asks to go there.

We had mice chew into our headlight wiring. Gateway was the only service, if many, we called who could take care of the situation right away. They were professional, expert and reasonable. I would think of Gateway first for future needs.

Initial experience (1 star):After alternator and battery replaced ($700) AC did not work. Disappointed in cost of initial service so did not attempt to have Gateway Auto Care diagnose and repair AC. Took to different mechanic. Identified that compressor wire under alternator was damaged. Diagnosis was that the damaged wire caused compressor clutch failure. Confident that alternator replacement caused this damage. Overall, not a great experience.Post rectification (4 star):Nick from Gateway Auto Care reached out to me after seeing my initial review (above). He stated that they would have repaired it under their warranty, and therefor reimbursed me for what it cost to repair the AC. Throughout both of my experience the people I interacted with were very nice, and after Nick reached out to me I know that they, Gateway Auto Care, are honest and willing to stand behind their work.

The engine was overheating. The radiator and hoses we’re worn and needed replacement. The job was completed in a timely manner

This place is amazing, I needed to get a blinker changed and I called Ford, and they quoted me a price and then I called these guys and these guys price was 1/4 of the price of the competitor. Amazing service to very nice

1st of all these guys were recommended by my highly reputable local mechanic (Als Automatic transmission) He didnt have the equipment to do what I needed. Then they were good all around, service and work. I know a bit about cars , no mechanic by any means, enough to see some things others might not. I listened to the guy on the phone for several calls while I waited. No high pressure, no scare tactics, professional and informative. Also, they have toys in waiting room for kids. I appreciated that.

This place is the best! The front desk has been great at doing follow-up calls before performing any unknown fixes as well as what the price may be. Having prompt service, great advise, and honestly regarding what truly doesnt need to be fixed, they win my families trust in an automotive shop. Honesty is what keeps me coming back with competitive pricing and they do not take advantage of those that dont know fully the ins and outs of cars.Not sure what work the last guy had done, but can honestly say this is a great shop to go to. Word of advise to the previous comments posted on this site, he should probably bring his actually bill in to discuss the work done and what was charged, it might be something they can work on or discuss the charges if anything as I have dont that with other locations prior to this. Can say that this has never happened to our family at this location.Keep in mind that a company that is friendly, honors your business and can be upfront with being honest, this what we look for in a company. Have to say with other companies, nothing is worse than talking to someone that is hard to talk or crabby and them telling you what you need to do and that costs an arm and leg.Overall, I would suggest people to do their research and call around to find out their our prices to have things looked at. Cost is a nice factor, but being up front and honest with what work will not fix the problem, and then they can back it up with fixing the problem, cost then comes in as a second factor.

Pete at the front desk keeps me in the loop every time the truck is in the shop. If something comes up out of the ordinary, he calls instead of just having the work done. The labor rates are more than reasonable. The owner Nick is always around and takes time to talk to the customers. This shop gives me a small town shop feel. All my vehicles go there now, and Ive only been using their service for about 6 months. Im extremely happy. Oh, and did I mention they are quick and efficient? My vehicle is never there for a full day, no matter what the fix is. Give em a try, I would be surprised is you were anything other than satisfied.

Wonderful! that is the word that I would use to describe the experience that I have had with Gateway Auto so far. I had previously brought my car to this shop when it was Briggs Auto, and when it was purchased by Gateway, I decided to give it a shot! They have been great. I have brought both of my cars there multiple times, and have no complaints. They have great customer service, they are knowledgeable, and they are fair with their prices. A lot of it starts up front with Pete who answers a majority of their calls, he is responsive, friendly and understands the situation, this makes the rest of the process easier. My wife has also had a good experience working with them, and never feels pressured or uncomfortable as she works with them. It can be very difficult to find a shop that you trust, but I would say these guys have gained mine! Thanks!

Even through the ownership transition the shop work and customer service has not changed. Pete always makes sure that I understand what is wrong with my car and what it will take to fix it. They accommodated me when I had three flat tires on two vehicles within a month of each other. They understand the need I have for my vehicles. I will not go anywhere else. These guys are great.

Over priced and decent work done at best. Would not recommend this repair shop go to a local small shop where you know it will be done right and at a decent going rate. The fellows behind the counter are not very educated either.
