I own two business , Footbridge Beach Motel and Cottages in Ogunquit Me. and Remote Quality Bookkeeping. Both reliant on services Eastern provides me. My experience with Eastern Propane starts with Pat LaVoie. I met him 4 years ago as I was making the purchase of the Footbridge. Pat came , introduced himself and walked through the project with me. I felt confident in Pat right away. When you have a problem, Pat makes it his problem too. And he follows through no matter how small or large the problem. So having totally put me at ease with his knowledge and recommendations , we opened for business and was able to cut the costs the previous owner was used to by over 50%. They installed awesome energy efficient equipment and suggested things I hadnt thought of. ...like a circulation pump so when Travelers call for Hot water , its right there , and no wasted water down the drain waiting for such.The other business has been around for 22 years. We Host Small business Financial software and my team does all the back end process to bookkeeping so the owners can focus on growing theirs. Once COVID 19 hit , we decided to all work from home and it has been successful in applying certain secure measures in order to do so. Now the company is expanding to Maine. First call was to Pat. He sent his well educated Technician Justin (who service this Nation is service to us all and we all should shake his hand for that!) to install a 22 watt Generator so that the Hosting aspect can move to Maine. Thanks to Justin , we are launching the move today as I write this. Justin as well as everyone Ive met from Eastern is always professional, courteous, respectful, Friendly and Knowledgeable. ...and why wouldnt they be - They have a great Team Leader in Pat Lavoie.To all of you at Eastern, Thank you very much for being there to make both my endeavors possible to Travelers and Small Business Owners across this Nation in approx 45 states. . On Weds 2/10/21,We had a service tech to come out inspect and clean our boiler so we could sign up for a yearly service plan.The Techs name is Dan and he is exceptional, he explained the process in detail and advised onAdditional service details, completed everything, cleaned up the area , was fully prepared with allCOVID gear , truly an asset to your organization .Having a caring, personable tech is a huge plus .Hope to see you again next year Dan, thank you for a job well done

Been a customer of Eastern for 20 years and i must say they just never disappoint. Whether it is a simple service call or major install always completely satisfied. Started having problems with my water heater a few months ago after a wind storm event. Called in to the service department thinking it was just my pilot being blown out which happens from time to time with my manufactured home. Tara sent out one of her techs to assist when a much larger problem was found. (Water heater was 10+ yrs old) so not a shocker. Tara coordinated a sales call for a quote on repairs needed to be completed so a new water heater could be installed. Chad came and explained what needed to be done. Was extremely thorough and professional and not pushy as my water heater was still operational but had some age on it, and left it up to us just to do repairs or to include new water heater. Had Keith and Dan at my home today for a new hot water install. Amazing job completed, was a challenge due to location of water heater and other repairs needed to complete the job properly. The installation was completed and a few tips given to help us going forward. I could not be more satisfied with the job and great team work by all of the team members from the Hudson office. Great communication from Tara to help her team provide safe service in these difficult times. Thank you all!

I bought a house a week ago and called this morning to set up an account and have the tanks filled. The customer service person was extremely helpful and walked me through how to check my propane levels on my tanks, which I have never had before. We then were able to set up a delivery for the next day.Later in the afternoon my heat and hot water shut off because we ran out of propane. They were able to get a delivery out to me by 4:30!I am currently under quarantine, so the office staff actually called me and video chatted me through the steps to return my boiler to working order. I am absolutely blown away by the level of customer service I have received and will be recommending them to everyone I know that is looking for a new company.Thank you!

I recently moved to WINDHAM and knew that my neighbors were using Eastern for their propane. I wanted to find a place to service my AC and realized Eastern Propane also did AC service . I called and got an appointment for only a few days later. Service person Dan King called to let me know he was on his way which gave me time to tuck my overly exuberant dog in his crate. Dan was very polite, thorough and professional. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions satisfactorily. I would not hesitate to recommend Eastern for your heating and/or air conditioning needs.

Yesterday we had the folks at Eastern Propane scheduled to extend our existing LP Gas pipping .The pipping was initially installed to supply a Gas Range and Tankless water heater, and we wanted to add a LP gas heater to our 3 ish season porch and a ceiling hung furnace in the garage. Yesterday was one of the windiest coldest days we have had this season (2021) . Eastern sent Leon, Ty , and Grant to handle the task. Leon started the project by going over the proposal to confirm my expectations and suggest the best way to complete the job. Leon started with the garage and Ty and Grant started in the basement where the original piping terminated. A few bitterly cold hours later it was all done and waiting for the Town inspection.Everyone knew there parts and worked steadily without complaint despite the extreme weather. Thanks to Leon , Ty, Grant, Marc, and all the folks at Eastern Propane and Oil.

My wife and I have been a customer of Eastern Propane for many years. We had a minor fire in our home in December of 2014. The insurance company had a propane technician look at the furnace to make sure that everything was ok. Well in never really ran correctly. For the beginning of this season it wouldn’t fire up. So I called Eastern Propane and they sent a young man by the name of Michael. When I saw him at the door, I thought, what could this young man know about my furnace. Well to begin with he was exceptionally polite and extremely knowledgeable about my furnace. First he diagnosed the control board had 120 volts going in but no voltage coming out. He replaced the board and there was still an issue. ( furnace coming on and off) he then thought that I might need a new igniter. He took it apart and found it to be a little bent and readjusted it and the furnace has never run so good. Thank you so much Michael from Eastern Propane for fixing an issue we have had for so long. I promise I will not wait next time and call for service immediately and hope I get Michael back for any repairs I may need in the future.Update 12/17/2020 the furnace has been working fantastic with no issues and no additional heaters. Saving on propane and electricity. Great job Michael.

Great service! I just had an annual service call on my Buderus boiler and was very impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, and promptness of Easterns Service tech. I switched to Eastern last year, so this was my first service call to them. He arrived early (early!) and we quickly learned that by coincidence my boiler had stopped working. He diagnosed the issue, fixed an even more serious problem I didnt know about, and cleaned my boiler in less than 2 hours. And I didnt have to help him other than let him get to work. Bigger than that though, he educated me more in that time than the previous company had in 5 years.

Lame. I used to love this company. Recently we had a signed contract with them that they decided to increase the total due. Which we told them is illegal. Then they told us we will have prepay from now on, even though we have never been delinquent. Now they sent a delivery before we got a chance to pay, and proceeded to send us mail stating that we are gonna run out of propane if we dont pay. I wish at least one company would treat long time customers with some respect.

Failed to deliver. We switched over from oil to propane for heating and hot water. Once the propane boiler installation was completed, Eastern was suppose to come and fill our propane tank. This had been scheduled between the installation company and Eastern. After directly contacting Eastern, they informed us that their sales people have no idea about their delivery schedule and ghe next available appointment would leave us without heat and hot water for a week. The poorest company and would not do business with them ever again.

We recently had Eastern come out to clean our burner. Mike Gauvin came out and I was very impressed with him. He was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He did a great job and explained everything that he did from start to finish. I would highly recommend Eastern based on this service call!

I was originally with Viking Propane. I’ll have to say during my transition from Viking to Eastern Propane. It was a nightmare. Starting with the meters of my three units reading as one meter in their system. No accounts were created for two of my units and so many other little details were missing. Then I started to be proactive on the transition. I was having a hard time still even when I was being proactive about my account and making sure my other two units account were being created. After about two weeks in, I got to know Jessica in the Hudson office. I’m glad, I did! Jessica took ownership on making sure the customer needs were being taken care off. After speaking with me on the phone for the first time. The call back from her made my day. It was like magic, all the things that’s needed to get done were now being completed. I don’t have to worry anymore. To Eastern Propane, pleases know that you have a great employee. Keeping employees like Jessica in the Hudson office will assure you that you’ll got a loyal customer like me. (PS: I would left a 5stars rating but most of the time. The 5stars rating won’t show up, so I’ll leave it at 4.)

This company is terrible! Overall very hard to deal with but I’d like to focus on one incident that happened that they handled horribly. I have a short 2 car driveway that in the couple years I have been getting propane delivery’s they have NEVER pulled or backed in to the driveway we recently spent slot of money paving it and they backed the propane truck onto it and damaged the pavementWe now have to constant puddles/ice where the back tires of the Eastern truck parkedI called and was told to send an email and they have simply ignored I emailed again to no avail I will call again and keep this review updated with my results

We had a tough start to this heating season with our 21 year old furnace. Ended up needing three separate parts to keep it going. Each service call - and there were 5 - was answered by Dave, or his son Mike, both from the Hudson office. These guys are great! They were professional, courteous and took the time to explain everything they were doing including why they knew certain parts were bad. They communicated with their parts department to get replacements in as short a time as possible. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have had them for a year now and the customer service is the worst Ive had. It took 5 calls to get everything set up gave them my credit card 3 times and they lost it, this was over the course of two months. They didnt come when they said they would and because of this I would rather pay more for propane but I cant even get them to come pick up the tank... Ive called twice now to get it picked up its been 2 weeks and they said they would be here last week. Just the worst customer service Ive ever had!

We are switching from oil to Propane and Marc Murgo came out to give a quote. He was willing to coordinate with my HVAC company and teleconference me in since I had a prior commitment and couldnt be at the house. He also spent 30+ minutes on the phone with me at 8:00 pm to answer my questions and expedite the process since we currently have no heat. The fuel cost was also much lower than other companies that I had called (and some actually never called me back). Thank you Marc!

Very sad when they deliver oil to the wrong house. and feel the need to demand me to pay for your fault maybe you should get people who can read numbers on the houses worst part is when they tell you oh this happens quite often!!!! Really 😠

Very rude woman I spoke to in Customer Care! If she ever finds herself in my situation , I hope she is treated exactly like how she treated and made me feel ! Like S$@t !July 2020: I would like to update this review as to justify bad customer service experience was with Rochester office . So one star for them. Or try to avoid calling if it is a billing issue.Hudson office is receiving 5 stars.Hudson office is by far superior. I had alot of billing issues and some new equipment ( another company) installed , beginning of winter . I was beside myself especially when came home to an over powering propane smell. Contacted Eastern (as they are supplier ) I never experienced emergency evacuation and efficiency over a phone . The woman was calm , explained procedure and she was contacting on call tech. And depending on where he was coming from he would have to stop grab truck and be right over . To stay outside with my son and dog until he arrived . She hoped no longer then 40 minutes. Ok 40 minutes , winter, car.. sure. Not even 20 minutes tech is rolling into driveway. He found the leak , fixed it , did a test to check for anymore leaks and pressure test. I believe it was Michael. Nice young man. And then not even a week later .. Michael was rolling up driveway. First time new heating unit , this time outside tank. All is well thanks to him.Anyone with billing issues , I have learned and highly recommend visiting the Hudson office and ask to speak to the supervisor in charge. He literally went through all my bills and ended up crediting my account as I was using more propane (3 tanks) and I was not being billed correct price. He is an incredibly nice person for going above and beyond to correct a big mess . Kudos to the Hudson office !

My mother had been with Eastern for 15 years and had auto delivery service. After one particular delivery the slip they leave must of blown away, they leave it sticking half way out the closed door. So they call her to let her know she hasnt paid the bill. She apologized and paid immediately right there on the phone. She was told it was not a problem especially since she was a 15 year customer who NEVER had been late before, ok great. So fast forward a few months and she realizes she hasnt had a delivery in a while. I go check the tank for her (shes elderly and cant see the level herself) and its empty. This is Friday night, so I call to schedule an emergency delivery for the next day. When I call Im told her account is closed and well have to call in the morning to talk to someone to reopen it. So we call back in the morning (now she has run out of oil). I am told that I have to wait until monday before they can reopen the account (due to there mistake). I said but shes out of oil now and needs an emergency delivery before the pipes freeze. She said Id have to wait until Monday. This is completely unacceptable, how could you just leave an elderly 15 year loyal customer to possibly freeze to death or incur serious property damage due to burst pipes? Especially when its YOUR fault shes out of oil. Despicable. Your policies and ethics need a major overhaul. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

Scheduled an appointment for furnace maintenance, they only had a spot two weeks out. They call us the morning of, half an hour after the appointment that was scheduled, to let us know that an emergency had come up and that our appointment was cancelled and could only come a week and a half from that date.

I own Smith River Trading Post. After having the largest Propane Company in the world who you would think would have the best prices, customer service and everything else, boy was I wrong. These good people from Pat Miller, the guy who basically set this deal up, to their service guys, delivery drivers, and office staff have been nothing short of amazing. The bill has the price per gallon and thats it. No delivery fee, no hazmat fee, no fuel recovery fee, just the price. That is how it use to be when I first opened up in 1987, and any company that can still keep it that simple, I support them.Thank all of you at Eastern.Bob Weeks

My hot water tank failed on Saturday July 13th. Did not want to place a call on Saturday and pay ot rate. So called Monday and company rep was to be out at 11 a.m. called back at noon saying no one showed. They would check and get back to me. Ok now 1p.m. and i needed to call back again. Oh. No one got back to you. Hello people. Now reschedule for Tuesday at 1p.m. yes someone showed up. Started i would get a quote sent to my email. Called back at 3:30 stating I am still waiting for quote. Connected to voice mail asking about quote. They have my contact info. But nothing sent to me yes. Did i say no hot water since Saturday. Customer service is lacking at this place. Do i even bother with them at this point? My install should be for free at this pointWell when I am wrong I will admit. Come to find out an email was sent to my wifes old account still active but not used. So I will apologize for earlier comment and just say it was a communicate issue. Eastern team did respond and service is being completed. Again I am sorry for not having all the facts.

These people are the worst. Their tank was leaking so we paid extra for more propane and lived in a more dangerous situation because of that, then they convince us install a bigger tank because the leak was making us use more. Now that the leak is fixed, they are charging us annually for not using the entire tank. Looking at our receipts carefully as the pricing didnt seem right from yesterdays delivery and they are charging DOUBLE the NH and MA average for propane. Over $6 /gallon!

Scheduled work service with them two weeks ago. Day arrives for the appointment, no call no show. Call them to figure out what is going on and they simply tell me I dont have a service agreement with them and they arent coming. Why would you schedule it to begin with if there is an issue? They were awful when I had gas delivery with them and now I know their installation services are garbage too. Avoid at all costs.

After cancelling account they did not refund the money owed. Three weeks later I get a slip saying they filled 100 gallons to a location that I am no longer renting so they do not have to give the refund. I called and they said that the reason they went was to verify how much was used not fill it. The slip says clearly they put 100 gallons in the tank. This is at very least deceptive business practices if not outright fraud!
