I give 3 stars because the workers were nice but I didnt agree with all the service they claimed I needed. If I needed new rotors, pads, shoes, and the whole enchilada on ALL my tires, how would I be able to drive and stop my car at all? Really tried to make me panic and get all this done for over 600 bucks. I only went because it was a free assessment. I replaced the pads on both sides and it only cost me $35 for parts and someone close to me put them on for practically nothing. Everything is good now. Gotta watch some mechanics.

Professional courtesy from everyone. Fast efficient. Techs were checking behind each other for thoroughness of job. 1st class all the way. I stopped in on a whim because my regular place was backed up. But I promise Ill be back on a regular.

I looked into brake check for an alignment only, as they drove my vehicle into the garage they informed me that my tires were shifting and the brake roders had to be replaced. I was about to go through with the work until I noticed that the “mechanics” were exchanging words with eachother, glancing my way and smirking back at eachother. Right then and there I knew they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I was a young woman who had recently just purchased the vehicle. The guy who told me what needed to be done to my car had a man bun, but I don’t recall his name. He was very rude and he attempted to charge me $700 for something that didn’t need to be done to my vehicle. After taking my car to another mechanic, he put air in the tires and rotated them which fixed the entire problem I was having and feeling from my car. I am appalled by the dishonesty of the workers and how they thought they could take a run for my money simply because I was young and new to owning a vehicle. I do not recommend this place for anything, there are honest people out there that do good work ensuring you’re satisfied and your vehicle is running perfectly; this place does not come close to that.

First let me say, I am extremely please with the customer service and professionalism I was given at this location. Manager, Marvin was very thorough and knowledgeable, he was juggling multiple task but had everything and everyone’s taken cared of. I just appreciate going into a business, especially car service and getting treated properly. Shout out to the store manager! I will be back!

I have been using this location for a few years now and honestly they have been inconsistent. I have been getting my alignment at this location and decided to get my control arms replaced here a few weeks ago.This was a BIG mistake. I was not satisfied at all with the service.For starters I was told the incorrect price for the service.I even showed the paper to the manager . Nowhere on there did it say per side upper and lower. Why even bother to print out anything? I was charged additional fees for an incomplete job. I had to go back up there on my lunch break because my vehicle was making a lot of noise. I called them and spoke to who may have been the manager to tell them about the situation. When I arrived back the manager came out and did not apologize just took my vehicle around and let them put it back up to see what was going on. I was informed afterwards that the lower control arm was overlooked on the passenger side and needed replacement. I was informed of the cost for ONE side and apparently just the top passenger side. What sense does it make to just get ONE side and just the upper side? I feel like I was not treated well at all. The manager did however take the time to inform me of what they did NOT do and what still needed to be replaced. Thank you. I appreciate that much at least. Then I believe that if I had not been accompanied by a male I would not have even gotten that. Sad to say, however it is known for women to not have knowledge about vehicles. So we tend to get overcharged and misinformed. I had to get a mechanic to look at my vehicle today to tell me what a poor job they did. So not only did I have to buy the other control arm out of pocket my money was wasted if I don’t get a satisfied resolve tomorrow.This is ridiculous.What did I pay for again?

They gave me a quote for changing the rear rotors and breaks for 1295.00. Bought the 3 year warranty for front end alignment. They supposedly aligned my truck. I drove 4 blocks let go of my steering wheel and is veered off to the right right away. So, no not happy.

Alright, service time was great the technicians at very accommodating, however they lost a star from me on friendliness. Not sure his name but he’s a bigger gentleman (black guy with ear piercing) no smile no friendly tone and plus I used a gift card and I got the your trying to get free stuff vibe from him. The guy I spoke to on the phone Marvin was very friendly on the phone, not sure if I’ll revisit this location but I got what I came for.

I paid for the bearings on 3/19/21 at about 12noon. I waited for a phone call on the parts arrival. Never received one. I called the store on 3/20/21 and asked about the parts. The parts hadnt arrived yet. I asked the young man to let me know something either way. I never received a call. On 3/22/21 I made a call around 4:30pm and spoke with someone else. The young man I spoke with earlier was off. As a result of the phone call the guy I spoke with said the parts came in on 3/21/21 and he wasnt aware of the situation. I asked him to make an appointment for me on 9am on 3/24/21. On 3/24/21 at about 8:15am. The young man I spoke with from the beginning finally called me to let me that the parts were in. I mentioned to him that I was on my way because I was aware of them receiving the parts, and scheduled an appointment for 9am this morning. My biggest concern was the breakdown of communication. I personally asked the young man from the beginning to let me know something either way. With all that being said, the young man was very professional, but I needed the communication. I personally told him that I take care of my mom and I have to make arrangements for someone to care for her while I take care of my business.Thanks for listening, but honestly I dont think it will make a difference.

I went to get a rotor resurfaced. They were the only ways to do it since oReillys didnt want to do it and they did a fantastic job

Only 1 employee and he was too slow, he didnt seem to know what he was doing. Line was long. I would of had them install the tires but there was only 1 Mechanic and he too was so slow. People were upset in line.

I called this shop because another shop told me I needed to pay at least $600 for my rotors and pads to be worked on. I spoke to Marquise and he told me by phone it would be half the price I had in mind. I made time to come by. When I got there he educated me in what was wrong with my brakes and let me see them for myself. He gave me many options as far as pricing but I wanted to spend what I wanted to spend. He was good with that. I am extremely satisfied with my experience, price , and condition of my vehicle now. My car is no longer squeaking or grinding. I will definitely return on schedule.

Unfortunately was really bad service my husband when to do a simple oil change and they mess it up and by over filling the oil they clogged the moter and my truck is making a noise and he took it back and they said it was not them is poor service dont go they cant do a simple oil chance.. I have frequented this Brake Check location since 2007. After I purchased my Pathfinder.Ive had nearly every oil change, alignment, brake repair, wiper blades etc. done here. I get great service, and customer service. They make sure you are aware of every possible problem and give yiu an idea of the cost and what to prioritize. Love that its only a 10 minute drive from my house!

Absolutely Great Service !! I called Paul and he told me to come and he’ll check it out immediately (for free) to let me know what was wrong , also giving me an estimated yet reasonable price. Once I got to the office he remembered who I was and took care of me right away . Once they began on my car, he then explained & helped me understand everything that was wrong with my vehicles breaks. All together they have a great business & service. My oil was changed in less than 30 minutes with express service even though repairs were underway with other vehicles. It beats waiting 1.5 hours at the dealership.

They were excellent. They introduce themselves and told you everything you need done and work with you on your budget. Definitely recommend anyone to come here. Ask for Maurice, hell take good care of you.

I had a really nice experience with this guys, I just had my truck lifted 5 inches and that people from the lift shop recommended me to go there, well the manager was very attentive and helpful with everything he schedule me for the next day and the next day they were ready to take my truck in, they had a little issue with the tie bars and told me to go back to lift shop and explain them what was the issue I did they fix it came back put my truck in and in about 30 minutes they were done, they gave me a paper with how the truck got there and how it was now align something that other small shops dont do also they offered me the life time alignment package which you can take your truck every six months and it was just a few extra dollars so its worth it, over all just a great experience with this guys and the manager was the best at customer service!!!

I went in because my brakes were starting to grind, so I took it in to get it checked out and fixed. They came back to me after like 10 min and told me that the brake lines, brake pads, calibers, and rotors would need to be changed. I told them to get me a price check for it and when he told me, I was in complete shock. Over $1000 dollars for parts, and not to mention cost for labor. I told them I couldnt do it. Then later that same day I changed the brakes myself and spent less than $250 on parts. Im sure its just business but come on, $1000+ for parts at brake checks vs $240 for parts from autozone with warranties on all. That is just ridiculous.

I got there for alignment ( well my truck was going straight just the steering wheel was a bit cruked) My appointment was at 2pm they got it in i was in the parking lot waiting they did the work but never told the MANAGER and they keep me waiting for more than 2 hrs and when i leave the place my truck it was pulling to the passenger side and the explanation they got me it was that MY BRAND NEW TOYO TIRES M/T were mess up 3 weeks old the any body in that place didnt know what they were doing + its been more than a week and i have NOT get my refund!!VERY BAD SERVICE!!👎

This location was a life saver for me! I came to the shop in a distress situation. Marquis went above the Moon and the stars to make sure my entire vehicle was in tip top shape. He made me feel confident that he was going to get my car back in the best condition possible and he always had great alternate solutions to accommodate my needs. Too expensive

Yesterday, before going to Brake Check my vehicle was not pulling of either side. After the alignment from brake check it pulled more to the right. I called after my husband informed me it was pulling hard to the right.I called Paul and explained what my husband stated. So he asked me to bring it in to diagnose and see if it can be fixed. So, I go in this morning at 7:30 when they open, Paul and another worker are there inside. I explained that I would like to have my vehicle looked at and fixed. Even though I was there before their first customer thinking I would go first, they told me I would have to wait 45 minutes so that they could diagnose the other person who arrived after me. What troubled me is that on brake checks website they state it only takes 2 minutes to diagnose the alignment from the machine. 2 minutes vs 45?!Because I had an appointment I informed them that I would be back. Well I got home and forgot to ask if I needed to pay anything and Paul assured me that there would be no charge. So, I mentioned in case I do not get back from my appointment on time that my husband may take it in.Yesterday, I spent nearly 2 hours for an oil change and alignment while other customers, five to be exact were in and gone alot sooner than me, within two hours. I noticed that there was no road test done while I was waiting watching for my vehicle to be ready.I am disappointed in their technical skills at this brake check. My husband took it back ( a second opportunity for the correction and proper repair) and there were excuses made as to why it was still pulling and this one blew me away...because we did not pay for the lifetime warranty, Paul mentioned to my husband, making it seem that we would have to pay again either for the regular alignment which is 74 dollars or the life time which is over 100 dollars per corporate. He could not tell my husband the amount of time for warranty. Were they trying to scam us for more money?All we want is for the alignment to be fixed correctly where the vehicle does not pull to either side. It is so sad that consumers pay for these types of places and receive poor quality work and the get the run around when it is found to be done incorrect. So my question is now to corporate... what is the warranty on an alignment done at this brake check?What is not considered is that just because we bring our vehicles in for service does not mean the consumer is not knowledgeable in the work being done. Brake Check not only did you lose the customer of the 57 Chevy that came in to your place today, you just lost our business for good.Our countrys oung aged technicians are not skilled nor knowledgeable as those before them. They are ready to argue with the customer instead. Two thumbs down.👎👎

I dropped in without an appointment and was very surprised. This place was without a doubt the fastest oil change I have ever experienced. And certainly one of the cheapest too. Im visiting on business from California. Maybe this is how all Texas oil changes go. If so, I am super impressed. Everybody was quick and very attentive. They even took out my floor mat to wash it because they accidentally tracked some dirt on to it. I wish I could repay them for their great business... hopefully this review will help. I recommend these people highly!

This place has the crappiest schedule management I have seen in my entire life! Every time I have taken my car there regardless of me calling well in advance they still make me wait an hour to an hour and a half, and today is the last time I leave without getting service done to my car because they overbooked themselves and give extremely off time estimates. If you need to go to a brake check, make sure you avoid this location. Customer service is the lowest, dont waste your time or money!

The service at the Gulfgate location is on point. Customer service by Mr. Paul that greeted me upon entering was the best and I would recommend anyone I know to come to this location.
