Im from Virginia. I discovered this sausage a year ago, Im 65 and love to cook. My family and my friends request me to make this pecan smoked sausage with onions and peppers all the time now. I would love to meet the person that created the recipe for this sausage. I will travel to Texas. Yum

I don’t know if it’s the top notch service, flavor and quality of the meats, or the 5 star country atmosphere that makes me absolutely crazy for this place, but I have eaten here 25+ times and have been more than satisfied every time. Absolute top-notch. I’ve been eating their sausages since I was a little kid going to Texans games, truly a Houston staple. Not only is their food quality spectacular, the customer service is phenomenal. An all around fantastic company, highly recommend, would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Every sausage tastes amazing. Also they use a wide variety of sausages, which makes it even better for the consumer. When people ask for the best sausage I always know which way to point them to, and they can even get it for cheap!

Great quality sausage and amazing service

We have always thought that Holmes Smokehouse sausage was pretty good, but recently we opened a package that had a thick, slimy substance all over the outside casing. I wish I could post the photos, it was disgusting. I called the CEO of the company to inform him of what we found thinking that he would certainly want to know, but 5 days later and still no response.

I used to consider your sausages of high quality; not anymore. To my shock and disappointment, you have adulterated your sausages with say powder! How dishonest and immoral! Youre deliberately making a low quality, cheap sausage and selling it as if it were a premium sausage. How many legislators did you pay off in order to get away with this? The public isnt stupid. By the time you lose your customer base, you might wake up to the fact, that you made a big mistake.

Their jalapeño smoked sausage gave my wife, my 1 year old daughter, and myself food poisoning on 18 Feb.Had all of us vomiting with in 3 hours of eating it. My daughter at 2 am is still vomiting up this sausage as we speak. She can’t laydown more than 5 minutes. Poor thing doesn’t understand what’s happening and is so frustrated she can’t sleep. We ate it at 7pm. My wife is running to the toilet with a pot because she is sick on both ends.These people need to be shut down permanently. I guarantee they aren’t feeding their kids this junk.

T is for the Pecan Smoked Sausage made with beef: for several years this has been a good sausage, but the last two sausages ve purchased it has about a 60% increase in pure FAT content, for my taste NOT EDIBLE, once cut open it has a very white look to it, hope this can be remedied, thanks

I posted the pictures of the sausages with the hard white grainy stuff inside. Very disturbing and havent bought from them since.

My boyfriend purchased the Andouille sausage today (3/4/17) from our local H-E-B. Opened the package only to find MOLD in the bend of it. Already sent them a e-mail.

Wrote the following to Holmes Smokehouse on 9/27/15:We bought two packages of the Holmes Smokehouse, Pecan Smoke Sausage Garlic from Walmart on 9-19-2015. Much to our surprise was how terrible these two packages of links tasted in comparison to previous purchases. There were excessive large chunks of fat in both packages and there did not seem to have any garlic flavoring as we have experienced in the past. The coding on the packages was 225-1B-EST-21634A. Just thought you should know about the quality of your product.As of today 10/14/15 Holmes has chosen not to respond for producing such a product. This shows just how LITTLE Smokehouse cares about their customers. I will not and will also recommend to others NOT TO BUY any of their products, mainly due their lack of care and respect of customers.
