I don’t give reviews often but I felt the need to for this small business. He did a fantastic job fixing our Toro Self Propelled Lawnmower and he did it in a timely manner. He’s honest and isn’t out to get people for there money. We recently took our edger to Billy for repair. We had it repaired by others on numerous occasions and the edger always stopped working. We took the edger to Billy on a Monday and it was ready to pickup on the following Thursday. We didn’t recognize our edger at first. It was not only repaired but had been cleaned. Billy warrants his work. If you are like us, it is difficult to find a reputable small engine repair shop. From our experience, we believe Billy’s shop is the exception to other shops we have used.

Billy did a great job fixing a leaf blower that wasn’t running right. Said he was backed up with work and it would be a bit before he could get it back which was fine with me and honest, but he called 2 days later and said it was ready. Incredible service. He even cleaned the entire blower. Looks like it did the day I bought it now.

I had a generator that I tried to use during the recent freeze and the thing did not want to run. I pulled the string and the string broke. I went to Lowes to get another string, put it on and still could not get it to start. After the freeze I took it to Billy’s so this would not happen during the next disaster. When I met Billy, he was passionate and particulate about how he cares for his customers equipment. Billy gave me a run down on how to take care of the generator with regular scheduled maintenance tips that he prefers and gave me a list of such knowledge. When I picked my generator back up, he started it right up no issues and explained to me all the issues I had. He reiterated the suggestions he went over with me again when I dropped off the equipment just so that I would not have to bring it back unless there were other forces at work with it. Now that is what I call customer service, teaching and training so that his customers can save money by performing their own maintenance and spend the necessary money with him for unforeseen issues or regular wear and tear depending on usage rate. Im pretty picky when I get service done and posting positive reviews, but I need to post this review. I have had issues with my lawnmower for a few years, and suddenly the engine kept over revving after start up. In fear of blowing out the engine, I started doing the internet research. After soo much trial and error I started hauling my mower to various shops. I kept hearing we need to get in there and replace the governor and it will take this much and take this long. I called Billy and immediately knew this guy would take care of me based on my diagnosis. I stopped by on Saturday afternoon and got a call within the hour on what was wrong. What I couldnt believe was his attention to detail and his customer service. Literally got the job done with high quality same day. Im still in awe. I came home and mowed the lawn and just cant believe how well the mower is. Its practically brand new. Oh and I almost forgot, he provides a package to each customer on Care to the mower year round. When I tried to get my generator started during the storm I ran into an issue where it was leaking gas after I tried cleaning it out myself. I ended up not using it due to the hazard it might cause. So to be prepared for hurricane season I set out to find someone to take a look at it and get it fixed. I found Billy’s Small Engine Repair. When I arrived I explained my issue with the leaking gas and Billy did an inspection right there in front of me. To my surprised there was no leak. Billys Lawn Mower Shop did a superb job on my zero turn lawn mower. I got the tune up special he offers. Not only did he change all filters and oil but he also tightened up all bolts, greased wheel bearings and cleaned and shined it up like it was off the show room floor. Thankfully I had another generator to get me through and looked online to find a reputable person to get this fixed. This is Houstons newest spot for small engine repair. I was calling around desperate for help to care for my neglected generators during the great freeze of 2021. I wanted to make sure we could stay warm and keep the pipes from freezing. Billy, the owner, helped me via text and phone with two generator engines right when I needed it most. He accepted no payment for the help.I recently acquired a neglected Honda EU1000i that wouldnt run. I took it to him today. Dropped off my Toro walk behind mower for complete tune up. Billy took a look at my mower to assess its condition. After looking at it he determined that the mower was already in tip top shape. He showed me how clean oil was, air filter, and blade was already in great shape. He could have easily charged me to do a tune up that was not needed. I really appreciated his honesty and will be coming back when mower is ready to be serviced.

This happened during the 2021 Houston ice storm event. I called and asked if he had a mobile srv..and his response was You dont want to know my mobile price I found that to be a telling answer. Im thinking..Did he have a standard price when the weather was good or was he all of a sudden trying to price gouge potential customers in their time of need?? Wow what a terrific service this is! Billy brought three lawnmowers to my home in Katy and I was able to try out all three. Billy is not only a very personable and friendly guy - I would say hes also a perfectionist who treats his customers and their equipment as if it were his own. I am thrilled that I will be able to call on him for all my small engine repairs (or purchase if I need to buy something else). I believe it is important to support local small businesses and Billy exemplifies the small business owner who goes above and beyond for his customers.

Get at my boy Billy Knight for getting my lawn mower up and running. I forgot to take a before picture but if you had seen it you wouldnt of believed that this was the same lawn mower. He hooked me up with the special, put back together, cleaned, tuned, blade sharpening and ordered all the missing parts needed. He really knows his work and knows what hes doing. Looks like a brand new mower, he got me right, low prices as well he really takes care of you and delivered. Much appreciated, thanks.
