It is my mistake, I had the wrong store. I went to and had super bad experience from Houston Gold Exchange (not your company, sorry) on 12513 Westheimer.

These people were fantastic to work with. They gave me a good price over the phone, and when I went in they stuck to it. They gave me a receipt and a check which cleared immediately. I would definitely use them again. If you have the option to get jewelry for an employee award, check with them before hand to see if they would buy it. That is a good way to get cash instead of an award that you don’t want. That’s what I did with my Rolex.

This place is so friendly and honest. As if you are trading with family. Accidentally gave extra $100 and Nick said that was too much. Now that’s honest business. Their prices are also more reasonable than others. So give it a shot.

These guys are courteous, professional and they cut a very fair deal. I give them an unmitigated five stars for their customer service and efficiency. While I was there, they gave each customer their undivided attention. To top it all off, they are as friendly as can be. It was a pleasure.

Jan 2019 - I used google and choose this location due to its high reviews. I wanted to sale some miscellaneous silver bars and coins. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable, as well as a pleasure to interact with. I received a very fair market value on my silver. When I am ready to off load a larger amount of gold and silver, this will be my go to place. They also have a nice collection of coins and watches.UPDATE: 6 Nov 2019 - I just off loaded a small amount of 1oz silver coins and received a very fair market value once again. This business has a high level of customer services and is awesome to deal with. I live in The Woodlands and called before I drove over there and I received the amount that was quoted over the phone. I will continue to use and recommend this location.UPDATE: 14 Nov 2019 - Another outstanding experience at this location while off loading some gold and silver coins. For anybody off loading precious metals, just remember, the market dictates value, not what you paid for it and not your feelings. When I need to off load more precious metals, this will be my go to place.UPDATE: 1 May 2020 - Had another drama free transaction at this location, they offered me a nice price on my gold and silver. They also carry a nice selection of watches as well. I highly recommend that anyone interested in buying or selling gold and silver should give this shop a call, you will not be disappointed.

I went in with a coin collection I inherited from my father. They took their time, knew their stuff and were amazing! I got a few things back but walked out with a good chunk of change. I have more coins in my collection and will be returning in a couple of weeks to have them appraised. If you have a coin collection, take it to the experts in the store and you will get your monies worth. Well worth the drive and the traffic. I will be returning.

I am originally from California and Moved to Texas about years ago.In California I would frequently do business with a local Numismatic company and feared that I wouldnt find that same great, fair service that I had back at home once I relocated. Honest, Friendly and they gave me the most money for my scrap Gold!Called around and no one would give me a quote for my scrap gold over the phone. And when I brought my scrap gold to a different gold buyer they offered me about 1/4 of what Houston Gold Buyers gave me! So if you call a gold buyer and they won’t give you a quote over the phone, hang up and call Houston Gold Buyers.

There were a few customers in front of me and they all seemed pleased with their transactions as well.I had calculated a rough estimate of what my items would be worth at a place paying an average percentage on the spot price of gold and was pleased to be quoted a good bit more than I was expecting, no haggling, no BS, no nonsense.The paperwork and payment was handled quickly and I was out in no time.Its a tiny little no frills place but friendly and welcoming. Such a great experience this afternoon! I had a few gold rings to sell and after seeing the reviews I decided to make the drive from Katy to come here. I sold some gold years ago, and just felt taken advantage of after I left. This time I did my research before going in and I was given such an honest price! DO NOT GO HERE. I know the reviews are all good but there is another post that is the same as mine. They will lowball you. I went to another place and had my necklace appraised and was told it was good for $200. But I was recommend to this place because they are “the best”. Soon as I walk in the first thing told was “oh you won’t get slot for that honey” what kind of service is that? Literally looked at it, pulled out a calculator and said $4 dollars!! Are you kidding me? This is the customer service that you all say is great? Also some of these reviews are fake to get people to come in. They make different accounts to get people to trust them. I know someone is going to comment under saying they are sorry or even delete the comment I’m posting but I bet you guys DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME GOING!

I know what website do you use and it tells the current value of silver content in coins I was showing this by a another dealer and knowing that I go in here and the guy try to tell me a total different price lowballing me cutting a dollar off. The low reviews are actually the only real reviews. I took my mom to a pawn shop to sell some pieces of silver she had and they offered her a decent price , but I told her to hold on so we could try this place out since the reviews seems really great. When she arrived they offered her 5 dollars for everything she had , which included 3 silver chains with pendants, a braclet also with a pendant and a loose pendant , worth about 150 dollars if bought with a jeweler. Which of course wasnt expecting to get anwhere near that . But 5 dollars for all of it really? lol these guys are theifs and to make matters worse the guy tells her to smile with sarcasm while she was walking out of the store. Do Not Come here. I promise even a pawn shop is waaay more worth it. Read the bad reviews. The 5 star once are most likely fake.

Horrible experience!! I drove 40 minutes because of the reviews on here but they were no where near the truth. The employees were very rude and unknowledgeable. Had attitudes when I tried to ask them to provide information on how they came up with the calculation of giving me a price for my gold. It felt like shady business and I left. Pete & the guys at Houston Gold Buyers are absolutely fantastic!I was in a tough situation and needed to sell some diamonds stud earrings. I found HGB online with a slew of other gold buyers, added them to my list, and headed out to see what I could get. I also had several Bulova watches that needed repair, and was looking for someone to do so for less than an arm-&-a-leg. After a full day of visiting a dozen other buyers, getting yanked around on prices, and getting extremely frustrated, I decided to stop by HGB on my way home. I am so glad I did, and left seriously wishing I would have gone there first!!The shop is small, but very clean & secure. Pete took his time looking at my earrings, and gave me an honest, fair assessment of what I had. I knew going in what my items were worth so it was so awesome to have someone give me an honest, FAIR opinion. And then he offered a couple of suggestions on how I could try to sell my items privately for more than what he could give me (which, by the way, was more than anyone else in town had offered all day). Who does that?!?! :-)They also took a look at my Bulova watches, and again were honest with me letting me know that a couple of them would cost more to repair than to simply replace. My very favorite Bulova they asked to keep so they could take a better look at it to determine what it might cost to fix. After all the BS Id heard all day at other gold buyers, it was so nice just to be getting treated fairly that I probably would have paid about anything for them to fix the one favorite watch! Turns out they fixed that favorite watch for less than $20 and had it ready for me within 48hrs. I couldnt have been more pleased with the service!I have since been back in to HGB multiple times for various other things, and have consistently received the same outstanding personal service from Pete, Johnny and their team. Pete treats you as a friend, not just a business transaction, which completely transforms the process. Not only does he do this for me, but I have been in the shop numerous times when other people have come in. Many of these people are looking to sell wedding rings or other items with lots of sentimental value, and many under a bit of duress - Pete treats everyone with fairness, compassion and respect.Houston Gold Buyers is technically a business, but doing business with them feels more like dealing with friends than strangers. I highly recommend these guys, and I will personally be going to them first for anything jewelry or watch related from now on!
