Marthas Kitchen, its good for me and one of my better places to go when you are hungry and dont have much money, go and check it out before you down it, ok,?

It was awesome. They really are doing good work. The feed Houston lunch everyday at 11:30. I want to volunteer here soon. It definitely worth your time to donate or see if you can help them out with a little man power

Marthas Kitchen has re-opened to distribute carryout lunches only.ORIGINAL REVIEW. The staff are always cheerful, always welcoming, and accept their guests as equals. Its like dropping by your best friends house at lunchtime, except there are more tables. And though Im reluctant to hang my backpack on the fence — a necessity to keep the chairs available to diners — there is a code of respect among those who eat there and it wont be bothered.If you need a meal, do drop by.If you can spare a meal, they can always use your donations.

This place is like visiting your school cafeteria for lunch. Lunch is free and there is more than enough security. They have music and air conditioning in the large seating area and have coffee and tea everyday they are open.

On my way there for the 3rd time. What awesome food. Clean. People there are wonderful. A blessing to have a place to go eat like Marthas Kitchen.

Love volunteering here. Sister Carmen and Sister Julie really know how to run a kitchen. Wonderful daily meal service provided for those in need, with quality, nutritious food. Here are the sisters, the serving line with volunteers working hard; and the beginning of seasoned ground beef from lots of pre-made hamburger patties that HEB in Kingwood was kind enough to donate!

This place is great it costs them I was told around $12,000 a month to operate and they do it all out of the kindness of their heart including the labor. The food is always spectacular its the best place to eat for free and Houston.

I visited this place and met with Sister Maria Elena. I was very impressed with both the whole operation and Sister Maria. What a great service they are providing.

Amazing work that they do, the meals they provide are made with passion and the care that they show to the men and women who goes through the serving line shows just how much work and effort goes into the food that they prepared.

Couldnt tell you about the food. Never made it past the rude HPD officer cussing and yelling at everyone in the line. No clear directions, officer left the door unattended and comes back barking at everyone. PEOPLE are expected to leave belongings at the door without a tag or receipt. So one can lose everything theyre carrying for the sake of a plate of food.If this is supposed to be a compassionate outreach then dont run it like a prison. Dehumanizing.

It was originally a place for the homeless to go eat I just dont have any money not enough food for you and your children you can go there and eat free of charge senior citizens Affairs in line wheelchair access your server good hot meal professional Cooks you also serve warranty throughout the eating a good place to go we dont have any money

Harris County Sherrifs and HPD are rude and threatening, Id swear I was in a jail chow line! Staff workers are polite though!
