This was my first time getting a cut here and everything about the experience was top notch. For starters the digital display showing where you are in terms of getting in the chair is a great touch.The overall vibe of the shop puts you at ease. The hot towel and straight razor shave was on point as well. It is definitely not your stereotypical ethnic barber shop. This is now my new regular spot.

I WISH I CAN GO BELOW THIS STAR. WAIT TIME IS 2-3 hour for normal serviceslet me tell you the story what happened with me. I did a walk inn and wanted to do my hair and beard done. they said it might take a while, i said okay for me while would be 30-45 min. thats usually wait time for any kind barber services, but i was called up after 3 hours. i thought it would be great service because I waited 3 hours and was auto assign to person call NOLAN because he was free then rest of other two person. he put on me chair and when somewhere and came back after 15 min, after he took 45 min for my services which was one of worst services i have ever done in my life. somehow i manage to get up and when it came for check he charged some random amount which was never ever list on the board. he charged some 20 bucks for beards and 25 bucks for hair. all together was somewhere around 50 bucks. I regret my decision of going to this place. i am shock this place has 4.6 star review.Guys dont ever go this place, and if you happens to go please prepare yourself for 2-3 hour wait and 1 hour of service time. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Experience.

Sai is the only barber that my 4 year old son Cam will let cut his hair. I can tell her just do what you do and he always comes out with a clean cut! Cam always get good conversation and information at Razor King Barber Shop!!! And thank for the school supplies, unexpected and much appreciated

We all know how hard it is to move and find a “New Barber” I must say that I was very Surprised/Pleased by the Environment it has an warm Modern Old School feel, also loved the Professionalism presented by this establishment.I would highly recommend!!! they even text you to update you’re position so you have time to run errands and all which is also pretty considerate....besides That The Service That you get by ALL Barber’s is Overall Great!!! First time here. The service was what I would call old school. I was met by EJ who was polite and courteous. The atmosphere was that of a regular neighborhood barbershop. No fancy bling, extravagant lighting, or loud music. All patrons who appeared to be regulars were greeted by EJ promptly upon entering. The service was professional and well worth the price, wait, and visit. I will be returning!

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for 5 years now and it’s hands down the best shop I’ve been to. EJ (the owner) is one of the best barbers in Houston and is here for you. Rather it’s 5am or 9pm he’s going to make sure you get your 5 star haircut. The best thing about this shop is all the barbers can cut great haircuts. You can’t go wrong sitting in Sai or Nephews chair. They definitely appreciate their customers.

I have been coming to this barbershop for 4 years now and it’s the best place I’ve been to in Houston. After reading some of the other reviews, I definitely feel obligated to add my opinion. The customer is great and the owner and other barbers make all customers feel welcome. With the quality of the haircuts being great, this attracts a lot of customers so know this before you decide to go in at peak hours and expect to be out in 15 minutes, if you have plans, plan them accordingly. Sai is actually me and my son’s barber and does a great. She actually stepped up when my original barber went MIA. Great place and highly recommend!!!

Very good sign in system which makes for fair and reasonable service. After me and my husband was turned down at another barber shop up the street we went to Razor King on a Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised at my husband cut and price for it. I wasnt going to leave a review, and just accept my haircut. Im definitely not complaining about the customer service there, excellent friendly staff. I have been to the barbershop twice. Im new to Houston, and I have only been here for three weeks. My first visit my haircut was perfect and I got the haircut I wanted, which was half off and even all around and the barber sent me on my way. Today, when I went in for my haircut, I asked for half off and even all around. I left the barbershop almost with a bald head. Kinda like the haircut I got when I first arrived to basic training, when I first joined the Army. So I bought a hat to wear to work. I will definitely give them another chance. Sorry for the two stars.

This was my first time at Razor King; it was a great experience. I walked in and was seen pretty quick. I like that they have a computer screen displayed that shows you where you are in line, that way theres no confusion. Sai was my service provider and she did a great job! Professional, friendly, and very good at what she does. My wife cant stop complimenting how I look. I have definitely found my new barber shop!

Came in from out of town and was looking for a REAL barbershop. Asked Google, and the Razor King, was the first one that actually looked attractive. So we got here, didnt wait much and then got called by barber Nephew. Kool vibes, great conversation, mad chopping skills and a Veteran of the US Army. Had a blast and I was very impressed with his work. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

When you travel a lot, its hard to find a good barber. So you end up just growing out your hair until you get back home to your familiar barber. But I found a barber better than my familiar barber here. I rather come here than everywhere else I go.

Cuts are always nice but the wait times are terrible. Expect to spend 2-3 hours there. If you are under any sort of time crunch i would not recommend this place. But like i said if you have 3 hours to kill this place always comes through with a fresh fade.

Half of my eyebrow is gone! I just realized this getting home not sure whether it was the first barber who was new or the other barber that came in to help cut my hair that made the mistake. The hair cut was amazing no doubt but my eyebrow is gone. This has to be the most embarrassing thing ever got me looking like daddy yankee.

The shop is kinda hidden behind a mechanic shop. They were welcoming and down to earth when we walked in. I loved that the owner is a reserved police officer. They work on any type of hair it seems. It was my first time going to a barber shop so it was a bit different. They talk and socialize so there is no in and out. But as for the quality of the hair cut, I loved what Saidah did to my sons hair. It was very clean cut.

I came to Houston from New York and after a billion bad barber shops, I stumbled across this one. I just want to say this is one of the best barber shops period. I even had a trainee barb my hair and he was amazing. His Coworkers also gave him a few tips here and there, showing the great quality of Teamwork. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

I went in for a haircut and a straight razor shave. All of the employees greeted me when i came in and sitting there for a few minutes waiting for my turn in the chair you can tell this is a small business with personality. The haircut was great, the shave excellent and at a good price considering what Ive paid at other places for the same service. Ill continue to support this local business with good people and great service. Id encourage you to do so as well!

I would consider this to be easily the best barber shop around Houston. I am extremely picky and am never satisfied with my experiences with getting my hair cut. However, this place is definitely worth the drive. I had an awesome barber for a while, but quit going once he moved. I decided to go back and will probably never go anywhere else again. EJ is an excellent owner and chooses his staff wisely. Top notch! You may have to wait a while, but there is a reason why it is busy.

I have shaved my own head for decades andI havent had a need to go to a barbershop , I decided to grow a beard and wanted a ole school razor shave. One of my coworkers told me about this place. Not knowing their hours I drove across town to give it a shot. Got there after they were already closed but they took me anyways. The staff was great made me feel comfortable from the second I walked in the door. It was a great experience love the ole school feel. Thanks Clarence for a great job.

This barber shop is almost an hour drive from my house. I first noticed that there were many customers waiting, but then I noticed the team work being exhibited by the barbers. They assisted each other in between customers to clean up the shop and expedite the waiting process. They masterfully can cut all styles of hair. Next, I noticed the atmosphere. This is not the type of barbers shop with inappropriate language, explicit music being played, or barbers smoking in the shop. The barbers all were very professional. My barber, Yusef West, did a fantastic job, and he was the displayed true passion for his profession. I HIGHLY recommend this barber shop!

Visited this Barber Shop today as a walk-in client for the first time. Had previously read reviews and decided to ask for EJ the owner to perform my service. He didnt disappoint. Very professional. Listened to my request and made professional suggestions. Even told me if the cut was not up to my liking after I bleached my hair, to stop by and he would make it right.Super excited to find a great barber in my neck of the woods (Northwest Houston). Will definitely be going back, although on a day that is less busy.I agree with other reviewers that the shop is very welcoming and friendly.

Okay... So the first 3 times that I went I got a perfect haircut! I was very... Very.... Satisfied, but this last time I went I had to wait about an hour! And thats not the worst of it, it was my turn and it seems that a friend of my Barber walked in and skipped me over! Each service offered for around $15 or less and is well worth the time. When looking for the shop, remember that they are located behind a Jiffy lube. I was regretting that i could not find this shop earlier than i did! I had a blast of a time socializing with the staff beyond the service itself. Would recommend them to anyone!
