Great place if you enjoy being treated poorly, rented the place for a shoot and wasn’t let in on time. They did not have the equipment they claimed to have, and refused to let me extend my reservation even though they were terribly late. The owner is not responsive and the staff is disrespectful. Awful place.

If you’re looking for a functional photo studio in Houston The Space HTX is not the place for you!I am a photographer coming in from out of town. Renting for two hours (which they have a two hour minimum) from 10am to 12pm. I arrived on time and they would not let me up till 10:25am because they were setting up the seamless backdrop I paid for.Then once they let me up this is what I came to. A seamless bent and wrinkled. Stands prepared wrong. No sand bags and the seamless was set up backwards.With all due respect this is a studio run by baristas who have no education in photo.When I asked if I could speak with Penelope who runs the space they told me she wasn’t there. So I called her three times and she didn’t answer. Then one of the employees comes up and said “I just spoke with Penelope and we do not offer refunds.” Meaning Penelope was ignoring my calls.Then the employees threatened to take away the backdrop and threatened me. None of them were nice and disregarded that I was waiting and starting late.Don’t recommend this studio space.

The Space HTX is so amazing & beautiful!! Tausha is so nice, and everything we needed, she helped us every step of the way.Please book your event here, you wont regret it! Its in a very great location in downtown Houston.

Chasity sereal had an amazing bridal show. She also got engaged the same night. It was the perfect size Hall.

Beautiful venue! I was very interested because I was excited to possibly host my wedding here. Poor customer service. Scheduled a walkthrough with Tausha. She never showed up for my appointment, nor was there any communication about her not being available to show up for my appointment. I’m highly disappointed with having my time not be respected, and will not be returning.

The ambiance was amazing! And the decor and food by expensive taste catering was everything!

We hosted our daughters wedding reception at he The Space 2/2/19, and had a great experience. I did not read any of the google reviews until today and I must say that I think they have read these reviews and improved on everything because the valet, the bar and the service given by Victor was great. Victor could not have been more accommodating. He bent over backwards to let my vendors in as early as possible and had the venue set up early Saturday. Additionally, the night of the wedding Victor was quietly monitoring everything and made any last minute changes and revisions to the reception plan. After looking at many other venues, The Space has a great bar package for the type of liquor served. I would highly recommend The Space if you are looking for and urban setting.

I am having the worst experience with this venue of all things for a wedding. I advise you consider other options. Affordability goes down the drain once add on services, poor communication, and turn- over affect your special occasion. We have had no resolve from staff to improve as if service excellence is insignificant to business growth and longevity.

I’ve had the opportunity to see this beautiful space transform into a venue for well known athletes represented by Adidas during the super bowl, to a market space for a gathering of local retail stores, to a magical place we’re family and friend gather to witness an intimidate wedding. It is by far my favorite venue to host events in Houston.

Hosted our company party there and it was epic. They were able to coordinate City View Caters (their food was amazing), dj, and photo-booth for our holiday party. Our staff had an amazing time and complimented the choice of venue. Great spot to create an intimate setting! Would highly recommend!

We had a CRU Houston 10 year party at The Space HTX and it was good. Victor was easy to work with and very accomodating. If you are on a budget, but still looking for a fun place, I would check it out for sure.

I asked for water right... their response? The party is supposed to bring water cups what in the... oh and I was told valet was available and Larry... the homeless dude was there. Not the staff. Dont be fooled people. I wouldnt recommend The Space HTX for weddings at all.

I recently attended one of my friends wedding at the Space, it was an amazing experience and the valet was spectacular. I strongly recommend this place for any weddings or events.

Had an event here recently and I couldnt be happier! Everyone was so nice, accommodating and very helpful. Definitely recommend the Space to anyone who is looking to host an event!

The Space HTX is an A+, five star experience. The location and amenities are amazing and the owners and event coordinator were polite and responsive. My schedule and availability is a bit erratic but they were super accommodating to that via text, email, Instagram dms :). Prices are fair; you are getting an awesome backdrop in a sought-after area in Houston. Thanks for hosting my event! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Overall experience was horrible! Worst customer service I’ve ever received. The area is sketchy and the owner loves to take your money! Everything is overpriced and the staff is rude. I only wanted to it because it was last minute but I will definitely not be going back to book!

Cute venue thats very roomy inside w/space for booths in the back. Extensive parking choices if youre able to walk a few blocks and good access to mass transit

I’m definitely not one to go out of my way to review a place, but in this case I feel I should! I recently got married here and it was such a mess, my husband and the event coordinator Shawna agreed on a price and was paid in cash, only to find out two weeks before the wedding that we still owed 1500 dollars more. I seriously couldn’t believe it, we ended up paying twice as much, and for that amount of money I would of gotten a much better venue! My husband got her on the phone and all she could say was that there was nothing she could do about it, and we had to pay her that money. So we did! Also the week of the wedding I receive an email from Victor saying that he will be running my event, I was super confused this was someone I had never met before, didn’t have any meetings with to talk about my wedding, all to find out that Shawna had “quit” and it was his first time ever doing a wedding. I would definitely reconsider before ever doing an event here, and if you do make sure to get everything they say to you in writing, because they won’t have any problem screwing you over.

The Space is the proper name for this place. It’s just a an empty space. No professionalism, no good customer service, no heart. I don’t understand how these heartless and schemy people have the right to run a business. Very read the fine print style company, no integrity and not a company that fulfills what they promised. They scammed my dear friends of so much money and didn’t bother to tell them until two days before the wedding. I would never ever do business with The Space personally and will make it clear to all my friends and my own clientele to steer away from this venue. They could keep the money they stole. I just hope this never happens to anyone else much less the ones I love and care for. You suck, The Space.

Recently attended a wedding and they had valet parking. When we left, we realized they had parked my husband’s truck in the mud. We heard the mud from his tires as we drove away.

Terrific open space with comfortable seating.

I had to pay a mandatory $1,500 fee for valet parking, our ceremony started at 5:00pm and the valet parking team didn’t start showing up till after we had already started and a majority of our guests were already seated. I don’t think ANY of our guests received valet parking.

Took a tour of the building; beautiful event space. Looking forward to hosting an event there in the future.

We went for the Starwars Art Festival and enjoyed the spotlight on all the local artists.
