DO NOT GO HERE!! They absolutely DESTROYED my car! I drove it there just fine and they completely took it apart and told me I needed to pick it up with a wrecker and that I had to sign a waiver. I only needed an alignment and they drained my steering fluid all over the place, BROKE my steering box, and messed up my brakes then tried to say it was like when I brought it in??? And they said it would be $500+ to fix what THEY BROKE.

Unfortunately, I had given Copperfield Automotive a 5 star before it was revealed that my battery was switched sometime while they were doing several jobs on my car. I paid for an alternator because thats what they told me was the problem, but I kept getting stranded. Then they told me it was the Wal-Mart battery. If I would not have been told that, I would have paid them more money for a battery. I never shop at Wal-Mart so thats when I knew something was wrong. Another battery was put(without me paying), but I doubt if I needed a new alternator, so they got money for a part and job that wasnt needed.I had never thought to check and/or label my parts but I will now make sure I can watch my car or mark my parts if possible, and NOT TRUST anyone.

They were direct and to the point and more importantly they were honest. They have earned my business for the foreseeable future

Great group of mechanics. They always provide options for repairs and provide excellent service. Their work is second to none and they stand behind everything they do. They take time to explain what they will do before starting any work. Two people you need in life are a good mechanic and a good doctor...these guy should be your car doctor.

My family and I have been going to Tuan and his crew almost exclusively for my entire driving life.Tuan is a master: hes always going lightning speed answering the phone every other second, answering questions with every caller, and still staying quick to attend to everyone in his shop - both customers and staff members - and Ive never seen him stumped. He always has an idea of what may need to be checked, and I trust his judgement every time because he will tell you straight up, and the folks he has working in the bays have never fluffed the bill. I come in for an oil change, thats what I get - no run-around. I come in because such and such problem, Tuan says its probably this, and we can fix that by tomorrow, and its fixed.You will not be disappointed. This place is always packed and busy because of how many people trust them. Covid may have effected their traffic, but even though Ive moved 45 minutes away, I still try to bring my business to these guys every time I can.

They have tremendous experience with retrofitting the Ford Triton engine after the plugs have blown. A manufacturers defect that was never recalled. They can machine in new thread inserts without pulling the head.

I love the guys here at Copperfield Automotive. In this day and age, it can be a Sisyphean task finding an auto mechanic who Id both trustworthy and fair, who wont cheat you out of your money with nonexistent problems or unneeded services. Copperfield Automotive is one of those rare gems. I feel completely at ease every time I need to bring my car in.An example of their services: this morning as I was backing out of my driveway, my tire alarm went off, letting me know that my formerly fully inflated tire had dropped about 10 PSI overnight. The obvious conclusion was that Id picked up a nail or some other debris. I turned the car around, and headed straight for Copperfield. They had me on and out of there in about 20 minutes. Sure enough, they found a nail. They werent able to patch it because of its position, but they plugged it and sent me on my way — completely free of charge, since they dont charge for tire plugs. Of course, a plug is just a temporary fix, and they let me know that upfront, but I was extremely grateful that they were able to get me back on the road so quickly.The only thing you could knock them for is the fact that their parking lot is cramped and tiny, and oftentimes you might be forced to park somewhere in front of other vehicles just to get yours serviced. But thats never been a big issue, so its barely worth mentioning.

Tuan is also great at taking your calls, scheduling your appointment and also very knowledgeable about what your work may entail. Tuan saved me $20,000 today. We purchased a used car and brought it to him for a second opinion after it had already allegedly been thoroughly inspected. I always take my vehicles to these guys. My in laws have been going to them for over 30 years and have never been taken advantage of or told wrong information. If they find something that is just an 5 min fix they will let you know whats wrong and will take care of it free. Or if you forget to tighten the gas cap like my wife had they call and tell you what it is for a quick laugh and dont bother charging you.

Tuan is always helpful. You can drop off your car overnight and drop the keys in the slot if you need to get it serviced first thing the next morning. My parents have been going here for 25 years, Ive been going here as long as Ive owned a car. Richard, the owner, really is from the community. In short, its a great shop, and the service and prices seem honest and fair.

I went here because I heard they were good and I was extremely pleased. The main thing I like about Copperfield Automotive is that they are trustworthy. I’ve brought my suburban here before and had an alignment done and was provided a cool print out showing numbers of where the alignment was at prior and after the work was done. We later brought our old diesel ford truck there because we believed it had transmission issues and they checked it out and diagnosed it for free and referred us to a transmission specialist. This place is always packed and I believe it’s vecause they are great and have a lot of repeat customers. The guys at the front desk are even very knowledgeable and usually have a good idea of what could be wrong. We are definitely loyal customers now after preciously going to other mechanics that turned out to be not as good.

Very crowded almost got hit a couple times in their driveway, wish they could have told me sooner they couldnt fix the Ford focus transmission problem would have just taken it to the dealer. The representative at the front kept taking phonecalls instead of seeing those in line so be prepared for a long wait if you walk in. If its a small fix or inspection I would recommend leave the heavier problems to dealership or find elsewhere.

This place is awesome! I dont know how anyone could give this place a bad review, to be honest. This is the third time Ive taken my vehicles to Copperfield Automotive, and each and every time, the problem was fixed at a reasonable (even cheap, perhaps) price and every single person I interacted with was polite, professional and respectful.For my most recent visit: I had scheduled an appointment on-line for 10:30 AM this morning for a courtesy inspection/estimate for repair to address a loud clanking noise that I suspected was something wrong with the suspension. I had driven over a pot hole, a MASSIVE pot hole, and ever since I was hearing some crazy clanking noise in the back of my vehicle. Definitely needed this fixed.When I arrived at 10:30, my car was immediately taken for a test drive by the suspension guy (I feel bad now that I dont remember his name :-( ) but within literally 5 minutes he had located the problem. A bushing (maybe that is the incorrect word but it was a rubber bumper type thing below a nut) on the rear drivers side of the car had come entirely off and the remaining metal components were rattling against other metal components. He showed me the problem, put the bushing back on, took it for another test drive and BOOM - problem fixed! No more clanking!!And the best part? He didnt charge me a penny! Seriously, Im super glad I took my car here and am very appreciative of the lack of a bill. One of the Honda dealerships in El Paso, Texas quoted me $400 for a busted shock as the needed repair. Glad I didnt let them actually work on the vehicle.Thanks Copperfield Automotive! You guys are awesome!

Too Long, Did not read:Do not bring your vehicle to COPPERFIELD AUTOMOTIVE. They rush jobs and neglect to perform the most basic of procedures.--I took my car to COPPERFIELD AUTOMOTIVE after my clutch gave out. I showed up mid-day on a Friday. I was told by the front desk secretary that the mechanics would probably not get to the job until Monday. This was fine, I would rather have the job done correctly than rushed. Two hours later I was told that the job was complete and I can pick up my car.To my disappointment, my car was not fixed. My clutch was still sticking and my car had electrical issues. What amazes me, is someone had to drive my car out of the garage and would of noticed the problem with the clutch. Also, my hand brake was not engaged and the weight of the car was sitting on my 1st gear.I called the front desk secretary to let him know that the clutch was still problematic and of the electrical issues. He then proceeded to tell me how to fix the problems myself. Only after protesting this, did he tell me to bring the car back on Monday so they could bleed the system; the most basic of procedures required when opening up any hydraulic system. When I got my car home and opened up the hood, I was shocked to find that the oil servicing cap had not been replaced properly and was falling into the engine compartment.When I returned on Monday to address the issue, the front desk secretary responded with a smirk and a sorry dude.So this cost me the price of the repair plus a day off.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, I will never be returning to COPPERFIELD AUTOMOTIVE.

I could go on and on for 30 minutes on how impressed I was with these guys service. I had thr fortune of finding them on my local social media neighborhood site. The reviews top a 4.8 and some sites like Yelp made 5.0 in stars. Look they had our Honda Odyssey for for well over a month but rest assured it wasnt because it was sitting in the back lot...[I worried Tuam everyday] it was because the transmissions that were shipped and installed where no good. After the 5th and finally the successful swap it hs been home free. They not only gave me an unbelievable price for the labor, they could have easily left a transmission in the van that was somewhat ok and sent me on my way. Yet they didnt do that. They ensured it met the Copperfield Automotive stamp of approval and that my friends is something to be taken very seriously. If all business conducted themselves in the manner that these guys do then we would have ourselves such a solid commerce of community. Look check them out and make your own opinion. I had one of the most expensive fixes you can have done to an older vehicle and I am extremely satisfied. Thank you Copperfield Automotive.

I had a quote for a repair from the dealership and these guys were 1/3 the price. Very friendly and honest with customers.

I had looked into this shop for a basic smoke leak test on my supercharged bmw z3. i had called this shop for its good google reviews. HOWEVER. upon calling them and discussing the test to be done they had told me to bring it in EARLY to be taken care of. mind you my car barely drives so getting it there without a tow was very hard. so upon my arrival i get told to drop the car off because there are 20 cars ahead of me......then why have me drop it off early? the person at the counter seemed to have no idea how smoke tests were done as he kept asking me you know smoke tests take a long time and no they dont especially when you have the headlight off and a 2 sec unbolting of the intake with 5 mins of starting the machine up ( i used handpump myself) and then about 5 mins to fill the intake chamber.....so this guy was full of it. it doesnt take long at all and why tell me to come in early if your just having me drop it off without telling me?! very bad customer service. very bad mechanical knowledge. wouldnt let them touch my car i wouldnt let them touch yours either.The google and yelp reviews for the company have been paid for and are NOT authenticated reviews. TRUST ME this shop is not a good shop.oh and 100$ for the smoke test. MIND you, you may purchase or rent one for this price. so DO NOT charge your customers the price of it. BTW the high end REDLINE ones are only 650$ so it still makes no sense why you charge 100$ for 20 mins worth of work.Bad Company, Bad communication, Bad customer service. Bad mechanical engineering knowledge. VERY Bad pricesYour shop is whats wrong with houston car shops nowdays, you guys are just in it for the money (what little there is to be had) instead of doing good quality work with good customer service
