ALEX DOES WEDDINGS!!! Ox is the man, I’ve been going to him for years and he came out to cut and groom the guys for my wedding. He brought his chair and was the highlight of the groomsmen getting ready for the wedding. We also did getting ready pictures and they are amazing. All my groomsmen said this was the most unique pre wedding experience. Alex was so professional and great to works with. I highly recommend him for anyone who wants to go to the next level for grooming prior to your wedding. I will continue to go to ox for all my haircuts and beard trims in the future

Well I just found my new barber. I recently moved to the area and have tested out a few different shops. It was always good enough and i never had a complaint until Alex. Easily the best haircut I’ve had and he’s truly raised bar for how i want my hair to look. Perfect all around. My wife even commented how the fade on the sides looked cleaner and better than usual. Alex also takes a genuine interest to get to know his customers. He’s all around the perfect barber. Can’t recommend him enough.

I tried Ox’s Barber Shop for the first time today and was not disappointed. His shop is very clean and and organized. Alex is legit, he did a really good job being detailed with his work. His private shop is comforting and he was able to hold a great conversation the whole time. Definitely the place to go when you need to look fresh, he even met me at the front door to greet me! A very respectable person!

I took my teenager here for the first time today and I was very impressed. I explained we were having a hard time finding someone to cut my sons hair how he liked and Alex (Ox) listened to everything we said. I’ve been going to Alex for a little over a year now after my brother referred me to him. The guy told me up front it would take about 3 cuts for him to “learn my head” and after my second cut I’d say he learned it. I couldn’t have been happier. He’s consistent, and consistently good. I moved to New Jersey a year ago and still make my way to his salon because I don’t want anyone else cutting my hair. He treats every customer like a long-time friend and talks to you the entire time, except for the occasional pause when he gets in the zone to fix something he notices. He’s worth the price in my opinion, which isn’t too bad honestly. He just cut my hair for my wedding and every guest complemented my hair and I owe that to him. I’d recommend him to any guy looking for a top notch experience.

If you want a quick summary: this guy gives a hell of a haircut. He has a great understanding of different techniques and is happy to share that with you and tell you what he’s doing. He gave me the best fade I’ve gotten and shaved me up too even though I forgot to book that portion. The space is very nice and clean, and also smells good. As for Alex himself, he’s professional but also feels like talking to a friend, he’s engaging and interesting. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back to him.

Just had my son’s (he’s 13) 1st professional Barber cut by Alex aka Ox the Barber and it turned out so awesome!! The cut and style is great. His personality was very easy going, friendly and professional. His private suite located inside Sola Salon made the experience really fun and personal and very clean too. Oh and there’s a big screen TV!! I definitely recommend him and so happy I found him.

I’ve visited this establishment a few times as I’ve tried other barbershops as well in the area. The hair cut itself was really great, but there were other factors that have led me to give this a 4 star. I purchased The Bearded Butler for my hair. The following visit I made a comment that this stuff was really great but it burned my eyes a little at the gym. His response was that he invented this and took that into consideration since he used to own a gym that he sold. I had zero reason to doubt the conversation. When I got my haircut at another establishment, the other barbers heard my conversation with the barber cutting my hair and indicated that both of those comments were false and that 1) he didn’t create the hair gel and is just a distributor, they all used to work with/for the owner/creator 2) he never owned a gym but had a barbershop inside of a friends gym. Either way, it doesn’t set well with me if you take credit or brag about something that’s not true. The other part of my rating is you pay a $5 deposit when you sign up online or PayPal. Typically, deposits are applied to your bill as long as you show up for your appointment. That was not the case during my visit. He indicated as I was checking out that the $5 is in addition to the $40 for his COVID supplies which were these “special” aprons. Well the math is rather simple, $5 a person for months, rather steady schedule, and a single barber/operator has certainly paid for those “COVID” supplies many times. It’s not about the money because I was fine paying, it was more about the transparency and truthfulness during my visit. If the $5 deposit isn’t a true deposit, then it would be good to make that clear and transparent that the $5 is in addition to the $40 haircut price OR simply boost your haircut to $45. Again, I would recommend this barber to anyone because he is good at what he does, but I had a few negative interactions. Hopefully the honest feedback will aid in making some continuous improvements.

I have been to alot of Barbershops and had my hair done by many, but Ox the Barber is the best at what he does. I went in there looking like a slob and came out looking like a king thanks to that man. My confidence skyrocketed after my hair cut, nice and clean and just the way I wanted it. The best part is he already had an idea of how I wanted my hair done and nailed it. He is very versatile with many styles and is really skilled at what he does, takes his time and makes you feel very comfortable. Outstanding experience from A to Z. Alex is very well equipped and conscious of health concerns (very sanitary and careful). He made me feel welcome from the second I walked in the door. I was on the fence about what I wanted and he gave me great recommendations and also tips moving forward for hair/beard care. He was very transparent and patiently explained parts of the process the whole way through as well as why he thought a certain type of cut was the right play; you don’t get that service from many barbers these days which made this experience stand out. He was prompt, very prepared and conscientious with PPE, and extremely attentive to details. He listened to exactly what I was looking for, found some similar cuts hed done previously, and talked me through what he was doing and why.
