I recently had a serious issue with my vehicle and needed immediate service. John, the manager, was very courteous and fit me right in. They fixed my car and I got it back the next day. John is very friendly, professional and customer oriented. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. Thanks John!

Had taken car to another mechanic that suggested problem was transmission and not a wheel bearing. Took to John at Aamco and they diagnosed problem and saved me a lot of money by finding that it was in fact the wheel bearing and not a transmission issue. Seem to be very honest and trustworthy in my limited experience with them and they fixed the actual issue that was missed by someone else. Will plan to use for other services in the future.

The Service here was excellent! I can not say enough about the professionalism and kindness of the staff, John in particular. He walked me through the whole process, explained everything unlike the three other places I had been to before - where the service was terrible to say the least. My car is in great shape, I truly appreciate the service here- thank you!

Was extremely frustrated when my car’s transmission broke but John was extremely patient and talked me through what he had to do and pricing details. Price was comparable to other transmission shops but I did feel like I could trust this AAMCO with my car. Had issues with my support bearing a week later (unrelated) and brought it back to this shop. Overall good customer service and really appreciate John for taking the time to help teach me about my car problems.

Worse experience lesson learned, my transmission never got fixed. My thing is if you need a transmission just replace the whole thing instead of trying to fix things thats inside of the transmission i took my car back over 10 times for the same problems. My advice in the commonwealth of Pa dont go to any aamco.Im glad there not there anymore

They were very slow. It took 14 weeks to get my car done however I would like to note that 7 weeks was on my warranty company dragging their feet. But still 7 weeks was on Aaamco. Jon seemed very nice however I think they have more work than they can handle. Also they had to order 3 transmissions for my car, the 1st I was told had a crack in it, the 2nd was the wrong transmission. I have to wonder whi they are buying their transmissions from if they are sending them broken ones, and wrong ones. Other than the amount of time it took, they got things done eventually. If you are in a hurry to get your car back, Id go somewhere else.

I had my transmission fluid changed. The service was done very quickly and professionally. The Manager/Owner was very knowledgeable and recommended the service I needed, instead of a higher priced service I thought I needed. I will return to this shop and I will refer my family and friends. I am very pleased with the service I received.

Ive brought my car here several times for various issues, and each time, John and his team went above and beyond to help. They always go the extra mile. They are friendly and have great customer service and take the time to explain everything honestly and thoroughly. They have looked at my car a couple of times, diagnosed the issue, and did not charge me! I will be sure to come back for any repairs and maintenance! I highly recommend this location because they are honest and knowledgeable.

John and his crew at AAMCO are not only technically skilled but also, more important to me, honest in their dealings. They keep my car in top-notch running condition and have actually told me that some recommended services are not warranted - when was the last time a service center told you they would not do a billable service because it is not necessary? It happens regularly with these folks. This is customer service with the accent on customer.

A great Shop worth traveling to ...I paid for a lifetime transmission service at my Local Ammco several years ago, but they are no longer in business. This franchise was not obligated to honor that service, but they did in order to attract my future business. I cant say enough about how good these guys are. They WILL correctly diagnose any issue you have, explain it in detail, and offer the most cost-effective solution. They do it right, Im 1000% satisfied with their honesty and work ethic, and gladly go out of my way to bring my vehicle to them for service.

Usually when there is 1 bad review you can attribute it to a disgruntled customer. But when you have multiple people saying the same thing then its most likely true. The owner John is sarcastic disrespectful to his customers. I dropped my car off to get a brake and rotors replaced. He qouted me a day and ended up taking 3 days! The job only takes about 4 hours. Anyways when I go to pick up my car he says that they hit the lip of the garage and broke my manifold exhaust. The car was working perfectly fine before i dropped it off and now its making an extremely loud noise. The had no business being anywhere near the engine or test driving it for breaks. When I confronted him about it he said hes not fixing it and not his problem. I called corporate and will be filing a law suit. This is the worst car repair shop I have ever been to. Go anywhere but here, I highly recommend Willow Grove Auto Repair. They are professional ans honest, unlike John and his clowns.

I own a Daewoo and needed the cylinder head and timing belt replaced on an interference engine. Talk about asking a lot! These guys said No problem and did the job to perfection. Reasonably priced and pleasant to the extreme, you will no doubt be as satisfied as me with your repair. Its hard to find good mechanics that you can trust these days but these people are the real deal.

The ABSOLUTE WORSE!!! The customer service sucked! They are nice when you first drop your vehicle of awful after they have it! Jon is a sarcastic little shi#! They drag out the work and lie! My car was there for 3wks before they got the transmission and once it came I got pushed to the bottom of the list. Meaning other cars were put in front of mine instead of doing mine since they already had it so long. Spent $700 on a rental. Jon kept changing the date for it to be completed and was being sarcastic. Customer service was nonexistent!

Several years ago AAA sent my car to John at this AAMCO location to diagnose a transmission problem. WITHOUT CHARGE - the shop diagnosed the car and sent me to a electrical shop to fix my electronic shifter transmission problem. Because of this courtesy and honesty in dealing with this problem, I returned to the shop last week, having determined I had another problem with the transmission. John, the manager, and Matt the service technician were wonderful. The transmission was rebuilt in two days and my 2001 Chrysler convertible was back on the road. There is no way to say how wonderful it is to find honest, efficient and caring people in the auto repair industry especially in the area of major repairs to a vehicle. THIS IS THE PLACE TO FIND. Thanks John and Matt!

These guys rebuilt my transmission on my Crown Victoria with the heavy duty package, only for it to fail on the way back from Florida. They fixed it 3 times after the warranty was voided after the first time it came back. They claimed I abused it. Long story short I had to get it towed after they refused to fix an issue that popped up for the 3rd time. They also refused to provide me with a copy of my receipt for no reason. John is not a friendly person. Do not go here. Do not go to any Aamco. Go to Meenan transmission. They will do a better job from the start.Edit: It was fixed once under warranty with no paperwork provided thereafter the next 3 times because they screwed up. The valve body wasnt even rebuilt the original time. The tires chirped once leaving the shop and they claim a burnout through all gears. Do not go here. Also changed to one star due to owners response.

I had a problem with my Transmission and called up AAMCO in Abington for the job. John the manager and his crew are top notch professionals and made my transaction a breeze. My jeep runs better than it has in long time and my confidence in John and company at AAMCO is full throttle. If you or anyone have a Transmission issue go down AAMCO in Abington and speak with John.

I took my car in to the Abington Aamco for an oil change. (I had a coupon). They got started on it right away, in spite of being very busy. I was aware that there might be some problem with the exhaust but didnt mention it. They noticed right away that there was a hole in the flange connecting the muffler with the catalytic converter. Usually this requires a new cat, but as the expense of that was way beyond my ability to pay, the owner offered to weld the two parts, which would take longer but cost a lot less. Since the car will never pass inspection without the repair, this option really helped me out. Thorough, thoughtful, intelligent and fast; a good experience all round.

I would like to commend John and the mechanic team at this shop. Their work and their customer service, as far as I am concerned, is outstanding.During a commute from Norristown to Feltonville, Northeast Philadelphia, my 2002 Honda Civics transmission failed. A friend of mine suggested this shop because a friend of his, a car dealer in the area, has any foreign cars he gets fixed at Abington AAMCO. Not only did they rebuild the transmission on my Civic and make recommendations on repairing the catalytic converter/manifold, which was going bad, but they were done a full day before the projected day of completion. My thanks to them, and for those looking for a quality place to have work done on your vehicle, I recommend this AAMCO shop for your needs.

I visited the AAMCO in Abington PA on Wednesday 6/13 because my check engine light came on. They looked at it and told me there was a problem with the compressor that needed fixed. I had to work, but they told me to come back the next day Thursday 6/14 at 8am and that I should expect to be there for an hour and twenty minutes.I got there Thursday, and waited, and waited, and a little after 9 asked when they were going to get to my car. The manager said it would be 15-20 minutes and then it would take about two and a half hours to fix. I was upset because I needed my car for work that day at 11. If they had stayed within the initial timeframe they provided, it would have worked out fine, but they werent able to do that. The manager saw I was upset and said I could take care of it Saturday (my work schedule wouldnt allow for it Friday). He said usually they dont do that kind of work on Saturdays but made an exception for me.I dropped my car off at 8am on Saturday. About 11am, I got a call from the mechanic. He said they had found a problem with the radiator, and whether I wanted to replace that or not it would be another 4-5 hours before he was done. He said he would finish it up that afternoon or early Sunday. I told him that was fine.I did not get a call back on Saturday. I called the shop several times on Sunday and no one answered (they are usually closed). I had no idea what was going on with my car at this time because, again, they didnt communicate with me at all when they said they were going to.Monday 6/18 in the morning I called again and spoke with the manager. He said they would have it completed that day by noon and give me a call. Again, no one called me. I called at about 2:30 and asked for an update. I was told the mechanic who was taking care of it was out but would be back in just 10 minutes or so, and that he would call me. AGAIN, he did not call me back. I called back around 3:00 and finally got through to him. My car would be finished (HALLELUJAH!) by the end of the day, and I could pick it up before work the next morning. This morning, Tuesday 6/19 I picked up my car. I expected the manager to at least apologize for the inconvenience of not communicating with me or missing the time estimates FOUR times, but he did not (the mechanic did over the phone the day before). He did tell me they were eating the cost of the extra labor, and the bill was no more than I was told it would be when they told me just an hour and twenty minutes, and Im grateful for that. However, before I even pulled out of their parking lot the check engine light came on, and the AC still doesnt work. No idea what I paid for!
