I’ve been cutting my hair with Taylor the past couple years and she’s amazing! Price is on the higher end but you’re paying for a quality hair cut and a great experience.Taylor is incredibly friendly, willing to listen to your preferences and does a great job. She’s great with fades and blending - we’ve tried a few different types of fades and they all look great. Highly recommend Taylor!

My boyfriend came home today with the worst haircut I ever seen on him. Im honestly embarrassed for him. It literally looked like someone placed a bowl on his head and trimmed around it. The fade is so uneven and bad. This costs $57 (tax+tip).

Recently that place closed and I went to another spot which was good but this place is better by a mile. Idk who cut my hair, forgot to get the name but I showed him 2 pictures for maybe 5 seconds and he replicated it exactly. This place is on another level. Definitely coming back!

Ive tried Mojos Barbershop, Phils Barbershop, 18|8 Mens Salon, and Mens Grooming Salon Sky here in Honolulu. For the typical upscale barbershop experience, you are going to pay between $50 and $60 after tip. More often than not, my hair isnt even washed during the visit. If you want to add a shave to that, you usually need add about $30 for a straight razor experience. Thats not the case at Salon Sky.Heres my experience from start to end, with the $60 all-inclusive course:1: I walked in to see a sharp-dressed staff. Men were dressed in black slacks, white button-ups, and black vests. Women were dressed in a similar fashion.2: Started off with a questionnaire about my skin/scalp sensitivities, grooming concerns, desired massage intensity, and general areas you want to see improvements in.3: The receptionist brought me a hot towel infused with lemongrass oil to cleanse my face before I went in the back.4: Staff removed my shoes for me to encourage a relaxing experience5: Barber washed my hair and gave a pretty solid scalp massage.6: While getting my haircut, a female staff member performed my manicure.7: After the cut, my hair was washed again, and I received another amazing scalp massage.8: They reclined my chair for the straight-razor shave. They also have face steamers that blow steam the entire time you are shaving, which is important because I am VERY prone to shaving irritation. The steam kept me from getting any at all. While the barber was doing this, the female staff-member gave me an amazing hand massage.9: After the shave, the barber gave me a great shoulder and back massage according to my preferences on the questionnaire I filled out.10. My shoes were put back on for me, and I was walked back out front, but it didnt stop there.11. While I waited for my bill, I was treated to a fresh cup of ice cold green tea.The bill for ALL of this was $50 because it was my first time. Normally it is $60, though. I was worried that the quality of the different treatments would be not-so-great because of the price, but I was VERY wrong. Every single aspect was performed as if I had paid separately for each service. In total, I would say the normal value of everything would be at least $200 here in Honolulu. Add an incredibly polite and attentive staff, and you have a recipe for what is, in my opinion, the best barbershop in the city. The chain, based in Tokyo, has only been open since November. I had never heard about it before my random google search for a haircut place today, so I feel like they dont advertise. The experience was so phenomenal that Ive made it my personal mission to try and refer as many people as I can, so that they can stay open and I can continue to go there.English is the second language here, but as long as you bring a picture of yourself with the haircut you want, or just a picture of the haircut in general, they have no problem giving you exactly what you want. The female staff member spoke pretty good English and served as a translator for any concepts that werent clear between my barber and I. I have no intention of every going anywhere else, and this is BY FAR the best haircut experience of my life.

Its a bit pricy but with the treatment they give you and the skill they have its worth every penny, definitely will be coming back!

This was the most legit barber shop experience I’ve ever had. Talk about being treated like a king! From the fantastic haircut to the beard trim and straight razor shave, even a hot face steam while the shave was happening. Truly a place for Kings to be groomed. And a scalp massage to top it offBeard grooming- my girlfriend lives it!!! Washed, conditioned, shaped. And she says it smells great, too!!!Manicure- bless the young lady that worked on my nails, which are usually half destroyed from biting, but she did an amazing job of smoothing the rough edges and getting rid of the dry, sharp skin.Facial- I dont know what they did, but the coarse, dry texture I usually have is gone.Shoulder and neck massage- Awesome! Relaxing! A great way to finish the service.10/10!!! I recommend enthusiastically! I will be visiting them again!

Im in Honolulu for work for about a month and I thought I could make it the whole month without going in for a haircut, but I definitely needed it after only 2 weeks. I really love being catered to and pampered at high-end barber shops and salons. And I wasnt disappointed at Mens Grooming Salon Sky. Akiko, my stylist was extremely service-oriented and her attention to detail second to none. I have never been to a Japanese Salon before but you can bet Im going to go back at least once more before I leave. Fantastic experience all around

This is the best hair salon I have ever experienced during my (short) 40 years of my life ;) I have been to several well known salons in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Honolulu and some famous hair salons in Osaka and Tokyo during my younger years. My head is not very symmetrical and thus, I require a good stylist. Sky in Honolulu is the best! Akiko is wonderful. She is skillful and charismatic. Charismatic because she knows exactly what she’s doing. The people, EVERYONE that works there are friendly and professional and I have been going there every three weeks since 8 months ago. I never had a so-so time there. It’s always a 5 star experience and this rating is coming from a long time, second generation seasoned hotelier. I already gave them a review on yelp but this time, I wanted to make a special mention to a young lady that usually works assisting the stylists. Since I came during a busy time, this young lady (didn’t get her name) shampooed my hair. I wasn’t expecting much and thought she was an amateur but when she started scrubbing my hair, Oh My Lord was I transported to another dimension of comfort!! I have never been shampooed so wonderfully in my life! I was speechless and couldn’t express my graciousness to her. I think I was only able to mumble some words that probably didn’t make sense. This is telling of how much the leadership of Sky is able to train their staff so well.I recommend Sky to anyone who would like an excellent grooming and to experience what good service is. The genuinely good service we all may have forgotten over the years.

I am here traveling, which is unfortunate because I will not get a chance to come back and enjoy the outstanding service. Their service and skills were top notch. They cut my hair, trimmed my beard and used a straight razor to shave me and clean up my neck line and behind my ear. They also gave a hand treatment, which was very relaxing. Overall great experience and for all the services, when compared to other similar shops, very reasonably priced and the quality of service is just great. Notice i mentioned how great the service was more than once? there is a reason for that!

Wow!!! Just wow!!! I went for the hair cut and left wanting more. I had a great hair cut but the entire experience was a once in a life time experience. Hot towel treatment, scalp massage, ... you’re treated like a king here. I immediately booked in for the relaxation session right after my appointment for the following Thursday, *I’ll post a review on that once I’m done. My only regrets: I’m from Canada and I’m only here in Oahu on holiday. It would be pretty cost prohibitive to come here for my monthly hair cuts but trust me I’m already trying to scheme up a way to do it lol. Try this place, you’ll love it. They take better care of you than your momma.

If I lived in Hawaii this place would always be on my must go list. I was really pleased with very polite and professional staff that took me through my full treatment, that includes hair washing, haircut, manicure, hand massage, shaving, hair washing and drying with final sculp, neck and shoulders massage following finish hairstyle. Very impressive and satisfying experience at affordable price. Great value. This men’s salon is like the “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” of haircut experiences. Simply a superb experience from start to finish. The haircut is good but it’s all the other little details that make a nice experience. For example they put a little piece of plastic over my beer to keep any hair from falling into it.The barber listened to what I wanted my hairstyle to be and then set about the task of making it happen. The only downside I see is it’s a little pricey. But if you’re willing to pay for a haircut experience then it’s certainly worth it.

I’ve been looking around for a barber shop, I’ve finally found it! The barbers are very professional, they’ll shampoo your hair before and after. The price was $30 but worth it. Idk of my fair stylist was new but after she cut my hair she had a few of the other barbers check it just to make sure it was perfect. Would diffenantely go back. Would recommend to all men.
