I have been to all of the barber shops in town Premier, Mojos, Men’s hall, Sky, etc but Ellen The Barber has been the only barber I want to return to. She gave me the best cut and style when everyone else told me that my hair was “difficult” to work with. She’s not your typical right out of hair school stylist or barber she’s classically trained in Chicago with years of experience and will shape your hair to your specific head shape and hair texture. Conversation with Ellen about my hair was educational and much needed! She made sure that my haircut looked good without product before she applied product to give it a polished look. She is polite, courteous, and welcoming and clearly enjoys her work. She’ll even offer you a shot of good whisky and a complimentary shampoo and straight razor shave on the back of your neck. I was recommended to her by my friend Thomas from Square Barrels and I have recommended her to a lot of people who are also very happy with their hair as well!
