We had a fantastic experience with Beluga Air in our 2021 July Alaska trip and highly recommend them! This is a family business with first-class service. We booked a trip to the Brooks camp at Katmai national park for bear watching and Angela was incredibly helpful in the booking process. She kept us updated as the weather changes on the day of trip in case they need to reschedule. Wes was our pilot and he was awesome too. He had a great sense of humor and so many interesting stories to tell about Alaska and kept us entertained during the flight. We had the best day ever at the park watching 10+ bears catching salmon in close distance. When we got back to our cabin, we realized that we left our water bottle on the plane. Since we have to catch a flight the next day we couldnt drive back to Homer to get it. I didnt expect this at all, but Angela offered to mail it back to our home in California without asking about postage whatsoever. She also took a lot of care to package it extremely well and we received the water bottle a few days after we got home. Its a small detail but this is not something that Ive experienced or expect to experience with many other big-brand business. We would definitely fly with Beluga again for more bear watching next time we are in the area and will recommend them to all our family and friends!

My wife and I were very fortunate that our original trip with another company was cancelled due to weather, and we got in touch with Beluga Air. They were very accommodating since they were able to add us to their tour next day. Wes, was our pilot, and did a great job. He was very friendly and told us some very good information about the area and Alaska. The tour took us to Lake Crescent in Lake Clark National Park. The park was very beautiful and serene. We immediately got on a boat and saw a bear within just a few minutes. We had a wonderful salmon lunch and then went back out on the boat for bear watching for several hours. We got to see over a dozen different bears, including several cubs. We felt very safe. Our boat guide, Evan, was awesome too. Super friendly and very experienced with the variety of wildlife that we saw. He even told us different stories about the specific bears. I would highly recommend going with Beluga Air and going on the Lake Clark tour. Wes and Evan were fantastic!

We can’t recommend Beluga Air enough!! We visited during the summer and had booked a flight to Redoubt Lodge. Angela was so friendly on the phone and it was very easy to book. The morning we got to the office, we realized we had a completely flat tire on our rental car! Wes was amazing, he recommended a tire shop down the road and lent us his truck so that my brother could drive me back to the plane! Wes is an very skilled pilot, he has a really cool DeHaviland Beaver plane. He provided great info on the flight out and back, such amazing scenery. Our trip to redoubt was amazing, it’s a special place in Lake Clark National Park. We went out on pontoon boats and saw about 20 huge Alaskan Brown bears eating salmon. Great, delicious lunch and the lodge and then Wes flew us home. A family run business, extremely nice, friendly people, book this trip! A day we’ll never forget! Oh, and my tire was all fixed when we returned!

Wes and Angela run a terrific outfit. Love the Beaver - built the same year I was. Plus they are just super people. Friendly, helpful, safe flying and Ive been out to McNeil River State Game Sanctuary with them a couple times. Thats a tricky landing spot, tide dependent and Wes always sticks the landing. And he knows where the bears are :D

What an amazing trip! There is no better way to see Alaska than a 2 hour flight into the wilderness to see Alaskan Brown Bears EVERYWHERE! Angela was our most excellent host and got us set up with the perfect itinerary for my family of four. Wes is a safe, outstanding bush pilot and quite entertaining while in flight; we got a historical tour of Bristol Bay and lots of antidotes and clever stories about the area. We topped it off with a landing at Brooks Falls at Katmai National Park where we were practically tripping over bears. If you can only do one tour in Alaska -- do this one! I highly recommend this family business.

The highlight of my trip to Alaska! Wes the pilot is a wealth of information about Alaska in general and is happy to share his knowledge. Hes a super experienced pilot; confident and committed to safety. Dave the Bear Whisperer found us 30+ beautiful bears to admire. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Well worth it. We chartered a plane to fly us to the McNeil River refuge and then back again a few days later. The quality of service that they gave us went beyond what we even hoped for. We had an easier and more enjoyable time because of it.

I went bear viewing at Brooks Falls with Beluga Air this past summer and it was an incredible experience! As a pilot myself, I have to say that Wes provided an absolutely exceptional experience and service on our trip to Katmai National Park. He is without a doubt one of the very best! His knowledge of Homer and the geographic locations flown on the route was excellent. Cant say enough good things about Beluga Air and Wes and Angie! Wes was able to get me out of Katmai after several days of bad weather when no one else could. They even lent me their car back in Homer when I had unexpected car problems. Wes is very knowledgeable about the area and the history. We had an incredible flight over Crescent Lake to Redoubt National Forest with Wes Head as our pilot. He and his wife Angela run a very professional float plane business. His emphasis on safety was appreciated, his knowledgeable about the history and geography of the area was informative and his jokes were corny. We saw lots of bears in action, ate great lunch and met interesting people, Highly recommend it while in Homer. We would go again!
