Whatever I get is great! Loaded nachos (most go home with me!); Grilled chicken dinner; taco salad, etc. My wife has a favorite too, the chicken pita wrap. Excellent ! Service is great. Reasonable prices. Socially distanced on the back area with ceiling fans and a feel of the outdoors. One of my favorites!

We celebrated my moms 80th Birthday Party at Buddies in Holt last weekend. It was the best party ever! My mom was so happy. Everyone said how great the party was. Jessica and Delany were perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts/servers/bartenders. They were so friendly and attentive. We reserved the back room, with a personal cash bar, food, photo booth, personalized music, and our own gourmet desserts by Christy #bombbakingcompany. I highly recommend Buddies for fun, personalized parties. Will do again!

Very open and spacious. Our waiter went of his way to make the experience enjoyable. A great place to go and watch the game an have a great burger.

Best food in town. Best service in town. If youve never been, your missing out. They are also doing a great job handling the restaurant staff shortage issues that the industry is dealing with right now. A+

Misty again provided outstanding service... I want to give honerable mention to Owen whom I never mentioned but always provided outstanding service and remembers your name... I live in the Holt area, and we frequently bike to Buddies. I love the food and usually the atmosphere. However; the past three times we’ve been here we’ve been treated by the waitstaff as if we should be thankful for being allowed in their establishment. It’s incredibly uncomfortable and such a bizzare way to treat your patrons.As small business owners ourselves- this is completely unacceptable and the waitstaff should be trained accordingly.I will say- credit where credit is due- the bartender went out of his way to apologize for the poor behavior of his waitstaff. Buddie’s is lucky to have him.

It was a busy place! We sat on the closed off patio which was nice. The server was friendly and made good suggestions. Food was decent.

It was so disappointing! We went following friends’ recommendation. Our waitress did not stop by once to ask if we wanted more water. No drink menu, but you can download it; no suggestions from the server. Neither menu would come up online. The ribs were supposed to be smoked and glazed with BBQ sauce. I couldn’t taste a bit of smoking and they were drowned in BBQ sauce. The other dish ordered was cold, as if straight from the fridge. Oh, the garden salad has only tomatoes in it, if you ask for it. Would’ve been nice, if the waitress had mentioned that. Overpriced, big time!! Last but not least: the noise level! Above and beyond a busy sports bar. We are not coming back.

Sat on the patio. It is pet friendly. Had our Australian Sheppard with us and was able to have dinner and relax. Very nice! Our waitress was very nice and friendly.

Stopped in over a month ago to inquire about a group event, was told I would be called the following week. Never received a call. They didnt seem too interested to begin with..... Ate there that day and again last weekend. Food was okay, not a great value just over fair.

Was here once in 18 & 19. Stopped in to eat outside on patio b4 Delta Covid is wide spread in Michigan. Learned they have a large screened in patio too. Busy at 4pm on a weekday. Screened patio had several ceiling fans. Got a cold brew, chili w/shredded cheese, burger & onion rings. Shd have taken 1/2 burger hm. Ate too much. Food is excellent here. Burger has grill lines. A very large burger. The waitress was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and on-the-ball. Unfortunately, no Molson or Labatt brews. Very pleasant visit and excellent food. Shd have taken pictures. The food looked great.This location is larger than Okemos. Has a large bar seating area. I think the only one with outside dining.

Very good restaurant & sports bar in Holt, Michigan. They serve appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pizza & Mexican dishes. They also have games & a Lottery & Keno kiosk & big screened TVs to entertain you while you wait. They also have a nice enclosed patio dining as well.

I dont dine out much, and I hadnt been here in years, but it was as great as I remembered! Great beer selection, a menu that has something for everyone, and great wait staff.

Food was good. Service at the bar was atrocious. Sat there with one other guy and it took 20 minutes to order. Another 20 minutes to get our bill with empty plates sitting in front of us. Will not be back.

Good Sunday breakfast only if you are a regular. Been there twice and they seem to be more attentive to there regular customers. Food was ok. Update 12-10-17. Tried the Sunday breakfast buffet again. This time the service was great and the food was excellent. The food was a lot taster this time. Love the scramble eggs and ham. Will be back again.

The service was great!! She was very patient since I didnt know what I wanted to eat. I ended up having a hair in my nachos and my boyfriend ended up having a piece of plastic in his food. Both meals were taken off the bill. The nachos are gigantic and delicious!! We have been to buddies several times and we will go back again.

This is the first visit to Buddies. Actually, the first time I was able to get in for a sit down meal. I went there at least 3 times prior to this visit and it was so packed, we would just turn around and leave. (After 5pm, it begins to fill. On a Friday, after 6p, forget about it). The day I was there was on a Friday at 4p. Fairly empty. By 5p, most tables were full. The menu is basically pub food. Wraps, burgers, wings, appetizers. The cocktail menu is small. I ordered a club sandwich and my son ordered the Reuben sandwich. I asked for french fries (crispy). My son had a bud light and I ordered the mango mule. The space is open with tables, booths and TVs. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our food was good. The temperature outside was in the 90s. It was muggy in the restaurant and our waitress was sweating. Despite that, she maintained her composure and provided excellent service. 👍 we enjoyed our food and ACTUALLY received crispy fries! My ONLY issue was that my drink was full of ice and watered down. It was bland. No flavor and I tasted NO alcohol. I forgot to ask for little ice. That drink, I believe was almost $10? I do not recommend this drink. Other than that, we had a good experience.

Absolute worst experience at a restaurant. I’ve been twice and both times have waited at the front to speak to someone while everyone just walks back and forth behind the bar. The last time the only thing that was said to us while we waited to see how to be seated in the patio was “you can’t just stand there...”! The older blond waitress is a pretty miserable person and seems to feel free to treat customers like they are a bother.

What are people ordering at this restaurant??? I’m confused as to why the ratings are so high. Even before the pandemic, I used to drive by and see this place packed. I finally had a chance to try it after the pandemic started, and I am just not at all impressed. And I gave it 3 separate chances. Some of the food was just “okay,” and other dishes were dry and bland. I was very disappointed in the salmon. The flavors of the Cuban nachos didn’t seem to mesh well together. The chicken tenders and fries were just okay. Can’t remember what else I ordered, but it was obviously forgettable. I don’t know if I’m just ordering the wrong things, or if maybe it’s better to dine in here rather than ordering takeout. Either way, I probably won’t be back.

I love it! I visited for a party, our waitress Jess has been amazing! She has run her feet off to keep up with our party of over 40 and did it alone! Super busy. Great vibes the second we walked in. Definitely come here!

I have to say that I was really impressed with this place! They had literally the best tater tots Ive ever eaten, the BLT was absolutely stuffed to the brim with bacon, the food portions were huge, the service was SO fast, and all of the staff were polite and attentive. I dont live in the area, but I can tell you now that I will be back.On top of everything else, they were really great about their handling of COVID-19 safety precautions, which means a lot to me personally.

Not a single person in the establishment wearing a paper or cloth mask.. because.. well.. how would you eat or drink? Yet this place wanted to charge me $2 per piece of paper to walk back to my table before taking it back off in order to serve my family lol do yourself a favor and go to Charlies on Cedar where theres some sense of normalcy. I used to enjoy this place and their food but wont be back. If thats your policy, fine.. then provide the 10 cent mask that nobody is wearing.

Great chicken nachos.

This was my first time in Holt, MI and Buddies did not disappoint. The food was great, the service was everything I needed. The best part was the Halloween decorations. Whoever out then up did a hell of a job. It was a great experience all around. I will definitely stop here again.

Food was good. We had the smoked wings. I had Cobb salad very good. Their blue cheese dressing is real good. Chunks of blue cheese in it. Its homemade.

Sign on door says wear a mask, I watched a family of four walk in and sit down. NO MASK! To bad I didnt get my salad with my take out order today and no Im not coming after it. Why is there always something missing in my order? Either no roll or dressing and now salad. RIDICULOUS!!!!! Im done with this inconsistent establishment!
