Stan and his employees are so wonderful. Ive already taken my car to Stan twice, my boyfriends car once, and my sisters car once, and I only moved here two months ago. Stan is kind, honest, reliable, and really knows his stuff. There is no one else I will bring my car to, and he is the only person I recommend.Additionally, I believe he filled up my gas tank! Everyone should take their cars here, truly!

I have been going to Stans for the last 2 years. My 95 Mustang wasnt running well and failed DEQ after I have taken it to a Ford Dealership for a tune up. Stan not only fixed it, he drove it to DEQ and got it passed for me. It ran better and smoother and actually had more power! Well, it was running great and then my odometer stopped working. I tried all kinds of places that specialized on Speedometers and Clusters but no one would touch it unless I took it out of my dash board and brought it into their shop, or theyll sell you the parts you need and you fix it your self. Thats insanity. Thats like taking your car to a transmission shop to be fixed and them saying they wont take it out of your car, you have to and bring it in and then they will see about fixing it. Stan fixed it and it once again is running great and the odometer working perfect!!!

This was my first time using Stans and I must say I am a very satisfied 1st time customer and will be returning with my other vehicle. Stan is very honest, straight forward and provided me with great service with very honest pricing for service he provided.I shopped around and received quotes from other shops and Stan gave me more bang for my buck. He gave me exactly what was needed for my vehicle nothing more nothing less, and went above and beyond with fantastic customer service calling with updates until the job was completed. Stan’s has kept my Ford trucks in great mechanical condition for many years. So refreshing to have a mechanic shop I can TRUST. They’re one of those rare shops you can feel comfortable sending your wife, mom, or sister to because they’re honest and not looking to take advantage of anyone. I’m in the automotive service industry and can spot a snake a mile away. Stan’s does it right. They’re a small shop that knows they live and die by their reputation and repeat customers; and they treat you that way.

Bottom-line :Go to Stan, youll not regret it. Once, I had my car towed 100miles just to get it to Stans shop.I have been a customer of Stans for 12yrs now. I have 100% confidence that whatever work Stan recommends it is always with the best interests of the customer in mind. And theres nothing more I hate about owner a car than getting ripped-off at the dealer service shop. Ive owned my Ford Explorer for about 18yrs, and thats because I know and trust Stan. When he retires, so does my Ford.Back in 2009, we had just moved to PDX and my wife took our 2002 Ford Explorer to Stans based on pure luck. We needed the seat adjustment motor fixed. When we showed-up, Stan handed her a nickel and explained it had jammed the seat adjustment tracks. So, rather than a $300 repair, we got a truthful explanation and a nickel back.Another time, I could have sworn my brakes needed replacing, and he walked me out to the lift, showed me the pads, and the rotors, and explained that all was well. There was another unrelated issue making the noise that was easily fixed for $5. Any other shop would have taken me for a ride and replaced those brakes, racking-up a big charge.There are similar other instances where Stan explained why my car didnt need the work I thought it did, saving me $$$. And, Stan has gone out of his way to find alternative sources for parts so that I can choose factory OEM or less expensive alternatives. And, with 40yrs in the business, Stan provides his opinion on when it makes sense to go cheap vs OEM.

Stan is always very respectful, timely, and is very good about making sure his customers understand the repairs or services being performed. It might be my imagination, but I swear my car drives a bit happier after going there.I also appreciated that Stan had quarantine precautions in place to make sure his customers and staff during the pandemic. I could drop my car off the night before the appointment, they frequently cleaned the office area, masks were required, hand sanitizer was provided, etc.I had my power steering pump replaced with Stan’s Fords and More back in March of this year. I was going out of town for a week so left my car at his shop and Stan was excellent about sending me updates about the repairs, was very upfront about costs, and was understanding about my budget concerns. He also made sure I understood to the warranty on the service/part. Then recently I needed to fix a broken handle on one the doors and I went to a shop walking distance from my place, but was confused when they came back with a massive diagnostic of everything wrong with my car, one of which was the power steering. The diagnostic listing everything from small scratches and dings to the size of my break pads to the issue with the door handle. I also felt pressured to pay them to fix everything on the diagnostic that day as soon as possible. However, Stan had made sure I understood the warranty back in March, I knew I could go back to Stan to have it looked at for no cost. So I just had the other shop was able to fix the handle over the course of a week (a part needed to be ordered or something IDK) and Stan stood by his work. He also made sure I understood that if anything needed to be fixed it was covered under warranty (apparently the hose was just a little dirty and no leaks were spotted at this time). He was also helpful in providing a second opinion on the other things in the diagnostic and able to put my mind at ease that my car wasn’t going to fall apart anytime soon. I sincerely appreciate that he goes the extra mile to make sure he has informed customers!

You will not find a more honest, and competent mechanic than Stan! Stan has always been an advocate for us, and he only fixes what truly needs to be fixed. He also stands behind his work! My sister and I own an older car that has a lot of issues. But, Stan has never insisted we do more than what is needed. I drive Mustang Gts and I recently found one for fixing up. I found out it needed a timing chain coolant leak repair, and all the shops around town quoted me a $1000.00 for the fix. I was at Fred Meyer, and happened to see Stans shop from across the parking lot. I stopped in, and Stan came outside to my car, and immediately found the site of the leak. Stan immediately told me what parts were involved in the fix, and gave me a far cheaper quote, and scheduled me for the repair. Stan called me and kept me updated while my car was at his shop. When I got my car back, I looked at the finished repair, and it looked amazing. I feel that Stan is a very honest man, and a very professional business man. He didnt bait, and switch me with a more expensive price after the repair was finished...which I have experienced more than once at other shops. Stan is what I would call, honest, fair, and keeps his word. I have now found my permanent mechanic. Thanks again, Stan!!!

As we were looking for a new home in the area our alternator died and we were referred to Stans from a Les Schwabs and when we got there, they were getting ready to close for the night. Since we were from out of state, he stayed opened long enough to get a replace the alternator. From that time , just over two and a half years ago, we have been steady customers and the quality of service and the cost has been exceptional.

Best customer service Ive ever had at a mechanic. Stan is honest and will do anything he can to get you taken care of. He is also the best priced mechanic I found after shopping around. I will be going back to him for any future needs.

Stan is THE MAN! A rare find among auto repair shops: hes not only highly knowledgeable, but also incredibly honest and deeply committed to doing whats best for customers vs. padding his bottom line. It also helps that hes likable, kind and down to earth -- someone youd love to have a beer with.Stan was amazing with my girlfriends Chrysler 300, which had trouble starting. She initially took it to the Dicks dealership in Hillsboro where they charged $573 to essentially replace her battery, which had a faulty connection. But she still struggled to start the vehicle because the ignition switch was loose and eventually had to be replaced, along with the lock cylinder. I strongly suggested at that point that we find an independent shop to diagnose those other issues and provide an estimate. Dicks was going to charge her $585 for a new ignition switch and $224 for a new lock cylinder.Enter Stan, who suspected right away that the ignition actuator pin was all that needed to be replaced. Once he examined her vehicle, his hunch was confirmed and the bill was only $184. We couldnt believe the difference in diagnosis and price! But Stan wasnt surprised. He had spent decades working for dealerships, whose flawed business model marks up all repairs in order to absorb high overhead.I had been taking my Toyota Camry to a place that specialized in imports since moving to Portland about 7 months ago, but now Im switching to Stan. He earned my business by demonstrating that honesty and integrity are more important than needlessly increasing revenue at the expense of customers.

Refreshingly Honest, no Nickel & Diming at This Place! Highly Recommended. I had oil leaking all over from my van engine. Stan looked at it, and one of the possibilities couldve been a $450 oil cartridge assembly, as they were the subject of a recall on these models. The problem turned out to be just an extra O-ring on the oil cartridge assembly from an oil change by a prior owner.Stan called me, and honestly if he had said it was still the $450 cartridge assembly I wouldnt have been the wiser. However, he was up front and straight with me, said he located the extra O-ring, cleaned up the spillage on the engine and changed the oil. He only charged me $45 (and as were financially tight right now, that was a Godsend!). Whats more, he went the extra mile and reviewed my van for any recalls and found one that was needed; he printed off the information so that I could arrange the repair with the dealer (otherwise I would have just had Stan do it).Weve had bad experiences in the past with other repair shops, who wont blink at your car without a substantial fee. This was such a refreshing change!Stan is a rare breed; a straight shooter that lets you know your options, and doesnt try to pad fees and goes the extra mile in service. We are definitely staying with Stan as our regular auto repair guru from now on, and we consider ourselves lucky to have him!

Honesty and fairness are two words that immediately come to mind. Stan and his crew are nice, knowledgeable and thorough. I usually speak to Stan when i call or come in and he will always give you his honest opinion. I have a Lexus, Ford, a Chevy and works on all of them. And dont think because Ford is in his shop name that he only works or likes Fords, he will recommend any brand.

LOVE Stans Fords and More. I took my car there because my break lights would randomly go on and off as a result killing my car battery. I took it to Stan and he fixed it with no issue! He does not want to take you money and actually cares about your safety and car, Havent had a problem with my lights since then! (this was back in April). I took my car to Stan for a different reason, I had fluid all under my hood. AGAIN, Stan thought of my safety and kept my car over night, but totally worth it. My car has been running so smooth and has no more fluids leaking out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAN AND HIS TEAM!

Stans is a great shop, I would recommend anyone that needed high quality, affordable repairs go to his shop. My truck needed a few minor things at first, he quickly diagnosed and let me know what needed adjustments and what needed to be replaced. I went back a second time for some more work, I like Stan because he’s honest and fair, I was capable of doing some of the brake work on my own and he had no problem picking up where I left off. When I needed a one off part, Ford wanted 1100 for it and he was able to track down a lightly used one for 280!Overall Stans shop is awesome and now my truck has a trustworthy place to get fixed when it’s beyond my abilities.Thanks Stan!

Let me start out with GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do not listen to the negative reviews your reading on here they are all faulty. I have been going to these guys ever time I have had a problem with my car and they have taken care of it.Anytime I have called for a question on anything thing they took there time to explain in DETAIL what the issue was and made it make full sense to me when I did not understand. Stan and the crew are the best mechanics I have ever come across. I dont trust any car mechanic to work on my car but these guys gain my trust and did a Great job on every mechanical issue. If your looking for a great company that you can trust and not get ripped off or get screwed over these are the guys are for you! I will tell anyone that has car problems to go to these guys to get there car fixed, because they have a great team well knowledgeable, understanding for peoples feelings and life issues, and know what to suggest to use for car parts and what not to use, and will explain in detail once again. The fob on my Fiesta was starting to die, and it locked my mother and I out of my running car while we were loading groceries in 98 degree weather! My mom walked over to Stans while I was googling locksmiths, and came back with Stan and within 30 seconds the door was popped! We went back and bought a $10 battery for the fob and Stan refused payment for the break in. Its so refreshing to have honest businesses still in this world! Thank you Stan!

I came in to Stans Fords and More with a 2011 Ford Fiesta that stalled on hot days and had the check enhone light on. I was really worried about what the dealer would charge me, since it could be a lot of different issues ranging from reasonable to expensive. So, I decided to give Stans a try. They evaluated, did some research, and took the simplest approach possible. I got outta there for about $130. They communicated clearly, saved me money, and my car runs like new. I will never go anywhere else for auto repair.

Stan was my Guardian Angel yesterday...we are expecting our first granddaughter and all of a sudden the alternator in my car needed replacing. On a recommendation, I took the car to Stans Fords and More at around 1:30 pm. Even though Stan was down one employee, he took it upon himself to personally install a new alternator in my car so I wouldnt have car issues trying to get to the birth of our granddaughter. Stan dropped everything to get my car repaired and had the new alternator installed in just a couple of hours working it into their already full schedule -- Stan has a huge heart of compassion and really cares about giving his customers the best service possible even if it creates difficulty for him and his team. I am so thankful! Service at Stans is stellar, prices are very reasonable, fast, reliable and trustworthy service -- I highly recommend Stans Fords and More and will continue to take my car to Stans when it needs additional work. Not only does this shop do great work but they also have all the answers or they will find them. Stan has worked on a couple of my vehicles now and I wont go anywhere else. On top of all that hes a genuinely great guy too. I have recommended this shop to everyone, including my boss.

Due to heat and old age, my vehicles dipstick handle snapped off, leaving the stick lodged inside the tube. The gentlemen at Stans took about 20 to dislodge the stick and didnt even charge me for the service. The whole experience showed me that Stans puts customer service above all else.

Gave these guys a shot a few months ago and glad I did. They take the time to explain what the problem is with the vehicle, and they seem very sincere about wanting to provide excellent service and a good running/safe vehicle. They have suggested additional precautionary maintenance services (above what I asked them to look at), but it is never in a high pressure way. I know a fair amount about cars, and everything these guys say makes perfect sense. They arent necessarily the cheapest in town, but theyre far from the most expensive. Honest and solid service, and very fair costs. Highly recommend!

My husband took his car in because of a brake line issue. Stan went out of his way to get the parts in that he needed to fix it and had it done all in the same day. He is very trustworthy and does great work!

Stan and his team went above and beyond for me today. I called after 4 pm (Friday evening) and explained that my Suburban had a blinking check engine light on. We were planning to drive to Mt Hood in the morning and I was thinking we may need to cancel. Stan troubleshot with me over the phone and told me that he thought I needed a new alternator. He also let me know that if I could make it in by 5 pm he would replace it for me so that we could take our trip. Again, Friday evening here! Well, he did just that. It is now 8:53 pm on Friday, I have a new alternator and plan to head to the mountain in the morning! Thank you Stan and team. Serious customer service here!

Explained my issue over the phone and set an appointment. Left my car with them and get a call 2 hours later that I was correct about my seat heater being broke and that my car is too new for their equipment. Nothing but a waste of time. Stop being money greedy and listen to your clients!!!Update: I clearly explained over the phone neither the remote nor any buttons would open the trunk which is why I was bringing it in. I also fully explained AGAIN when I arrived on site that NOTHING will open the trunk. You guys couldnt even find the manual for the car nor had the mental capacity to look it up online. I was told that yall thought it would just be an easy fix. Youre correct I was not charged because you guys did nothing for me. I did more diagnostic than any of you. I even told you the common issue for these models are the trunk wiring but you didnt want to listen to me. Im not mad you couldnt help me, I understand. I am however disappointed in your lack of listening and common sense skills. I am rating my experience for how I felt I was treated and serviced. I was not acknowledged for several minutes after walking inside and patiently waiting. You were ill prepared as I had to give you all of my info again when I had already made an appointment and you guys had to ask what I was there for. Good luck with your company but I will not be back as you probably guessed.

Strait forward mechanics! Car work is usually bad news. They explain the situation well and charge a fair fee. I recommend this place and have had work done here a few times. My parents have been going here for years and still do. There is a reason you have to set an appointment, they are busy because they are the best.

Ive been here twice in the past few weeks for 2 different things. I decided to try them when my A/C stopped working, they got me in in 2 days and fixed my A/C. I also had a list of repairs that my dealer had suggested. There were 6 items on that list, actually gave them the report and asked if they would validate Id need those repairs. They easily could have said yep, you need all of that and earned well over $1000 in business. Instead they said I needed only one of those things. I set up an appointment for that one item, they got that done in less than an hour while I waited and for just a little bit more than 1/2 the cost that Id been quoted by the dealer. Ive been most impressed

I have nothing but great things to say about Fords & More! Theyve been my mechanics for more than 5 years and I have always received AMAZING service! I had a Chevy Venture that they fixed for me years ago and when it finally was at its end (but I wanted to keep fixing it) they encouraged me to move on to another car because they didnt want to keep taking my money (they knew it was at the end of its life). I completely trust them!We are currently looking for another car and they are extremely helpful! Whenever we find a car we call and ask if its a good one (brand and year) and they let us know what kind of repairs we can expect from them. Weve done a pre-purchase inspection with them several times (on my new van and my sons and daughters cars) and theyve saved us from really bad ones. My true test is when they are finished with the inspection Brennan tells me, Id let my child drive it. Then I know its a winner and weve bought all of those cars and theyve been great!I cant say enough good things about them and I recommend them to all of my friends!

Im a competing shop and I read the review by Mr Pinto. I believe it to be false. I know these guys and they do not sell things that are not needed! I know the technician and service writer and I know they are honest and do their best to fix things properly the first time. WE get customers that never maintain their cars and expect us to make them perfect for no money! Yes there are the shops that steal and cheat. Stans is not one of them. About 2 years ago I took my car to Stans for a linkage problem and they fixed me up. Recently I took my car to another shop and it cost me $250 for him to screw things up. So I took my car back to Stans Fords and More cause I knew they would fix it right. Brandon is great to work with. I just wish I would have listened to my inner voice and taken my car to Stans in the first place. These cats are the real deal..Im a Stans man from here on out!
