We had a gremlim with our windshield wiper system. The dealership could not fit us into their schedule for more than one week! So I stopped at Clays, explained the situation and they were able to look into the problem within just a few hours. They had to order parts from California which delayed repair. As soon as the parts arrived Clay personally called us and they were able to complete the project within two hours! As senior citizens with only one vehicle, we are so thankful that Clays was able to complete the project in such a timely manner. I called the dealership and cancelled my appointment! These guys were amazing! Our check engine light came on while on our family road trip. We had an auto parts store plug it and confirmed it would cause a significant problem if we didnt take care of it. After a little panic we called Clays and we were taken care of from there. The USB port in our 2003 Hyndai Santa Fe stopped charging and Clays was able to repair it. At first they thought a new part would be needed so they ordered it in. After further inspection they were able to fix the issue without replacing the part. Saved me a lot of $$$. I love the fact they repair before replacing and running up a huge repair bill.

The shop was friendly and communicative. My car ended up needing a new AC compressor. The issue with the old compressor was that it intermittently failed to start, after cycling the AC off. A hard problem to diagnose, but the shop did it, and got me going again. I like the combination of text messages and emails to keep me updated with progress, and work estimates.

The service at this place is top notch! I had my water pump replaced. They were very understanding about the time I had available to get it done. I took my truck in because I was told I had an engine oil leak. I took my truck to another shop and they told me I had to replace the oil pan. The oil pan had already been replaced 3 months prior. The other shop told me that it would be 1200 dollars to replace. So I took my truck to Clay’s to have it assessed again. Clay’s told me that they looked at everything and even put dye in the oil. Clays told me that there was no oil leak and nothing needed to be replaced. It turned out that when the oil pan was previously replaced, they did not clean off residue oil, so it appeared that I had a leak. Clay’s was very upfront and did not try and scam me like other shops did.

I LOVE working with Clays. they did some maintenance on my car and they were very detailed in explaining the costs for all the repairs. there were no hidden fees, they explained upfront what all the repairs would be PLUS the cost of each. This level of professionalism and honesty Is what should be standard. Ive had my subaru repaired here before and each time theyve done a marvelous job. I have zero complaints. Their timely service coupled with their excellent works makes them my Go-to for any sort of repairs. definitely recommend.

My coolant leaked out and was going thru water almost as fast as I put it in. I called in the morning and they had me bring it in that day. They were able to look at that afternoon and replace the water pump the next morning. I was also able to get my DEQ inspection done at the same time. They have a shuttle vehicle too which was very helpful.

2009 Mazda Tribute with lots of issues. They told us to junk it, and we did. Its rare to find a shop that will tell you straight up that an older car isnt worth trying to save. Very clean. Very professional. Kept me abreast of activity. Ill use them for other cars in the future.2012 Ford Escape. Purchased used to replace the Tribute. Needed front brake replacement, and a transmission flush from a flawed flush at a zippy place. Had a strange noise about a week later. Minor problem with left front brake. They handled it as warranty (it was) with no hassles.1995 Chevy Silverado. Needed clutch replaced. Ouch. Clays did that and more. It runs great now. We should get another ten or fifteen years out of that workhorse.They are our go-to shop.

These guys took care of me for a minor repair when I gave them no notice at all. They had me in and out, and charged a totally fair price. This was my first time in their shop, but not my last.

The service was done in a timely manner for the amount of work that had to be done. My question is that for each of the five different tasks that were worked on I was charged $9.98 for parts cleaner, so I ended up paying $49.90 for the parts cleaner which seems like a lot when maybe a one time charge should have been enough to cover the cleaning product.

I was in a minor car crash where the car hit me in the drivers side tire /wheel area . Had the truck towed to clays after reading lots of good reviews. The reviews were correct .The office staff was professional (Beth/Katy) and kept me updated on all repairs that were needed and advised me of other items that need attention but could wait until later .they replaced tie rods ,control arms, steering Control arm? Anyway rebuilt driver side front end all in day and half. They came in under the the estimated cost by under $125 so That was a great surprise .I highly recommend Clays auto repair and their entire staff and want to thank them again for the great work and timely service.😊😊😊👍👍👍

I will patron them for any future issues and I will recommend their business.

I would highly recommend Clays for your mechanic needs. Are their routine services a little more pricey? Sure, but youre paying for the expertise of professionals, and the integrity and honesty you get. For example, they dont try to up-sell you on extra parts or flushes during your oil changes like the chains do, they are up front about what you do and do not need done. Recently I had a mystery issue with my car dying intermittently, no other symptoms. I took my car to the GMC dealership in case there was a recall, and they gave me a $2700 diagnosis. I took this info to Clays and Patrick explained to me that their diagnosis couldnt have been honest - the parts they claimed were bad couldnt have been inspected without disassembling the engine (which they didnt do). Essentially, Patrick pointed out that they were just going to replace all potential parts rather than get to the root of the problem. Patrick came up with an approach where wed only replace the most obvious culprits first and continue until we found the problem. As luck would have it, after less than $300 my car was fixed and is still running great months later. So, yes, Im willing to pay a little more for an oil change for this kind of long term confidence that my car is in good hands.

I had a problem with my 1997 Firebird with a random misfire which can be attributed to many possible causes. I spoke with Patrick and scheduled to have my care looked at and diagnosed. It was quickly determined that I had lost a coil pack that created spark for 2 cylinders.. the car was towed in at 8:30 and was diagnosed and completed by 3:39 the same day. The price was very reasonable. You can trust that Clay’s will do a good job. They have proven to me that they are honest and reliable. My car broke down and I brought it to Clays. Unfortunately, the cost of the repairs (estimated by technicians at Clays and by an independant mechanic) exceeded the value of the vehicle. I also had excessive rust on the frame...which I knew about, but I didnt want to part with the car. Clays did a diagnostic and allowed me to keep the vehicle in their lot until I was able to make arrangements to get it towed/sell it. It was in their lot 3-4 days. Everyone was always curteous and respectful. I appreciate their help.

I was tired of taking my “old” car to the dealer for an oil change and walking out with an $800 charge for additional repairs. After my recent oil change plus $800 to $1,000 additional repair recommendations I finally had enough and went to Clay Auto Service. No repairs recommended at this time. Told me on the phone it would be $90 to give a diagnosis. Then after taking my car there said it could be $160 for diagnosis. Wake up to find a bill for $360 for only diagnosis

Second time I’ve used Clay’s. This time truck died two days before needing to pickup a new rv trailer. Clay’s was able to identify the problem quickly, fix it for a good price and get me my truck back to make my appointment to pickup the trailer. Staff at the front was friendly and helpful.

Amazing is an understatement.  There customer service goes above and beyond; they had been able to help out with some commute issues.  My car repair was completed and they had affordable prices.  They educated me on what was needed and explained it in simple terms;they worked with me.  They didnt give me the that needs to be fixed too line. My car was also vacuumed and clean when I got it back. Sorry guys I admit my car was super messy.  Five stars for sure!!! Needed some routine service on my AWD Toyota Sienna in a hurry before a road trip. Beth was super helpful and ensured everything was wrapped up by 5pm. Along the way, Jesse (the certified Toyota mechanic) noticed a broken mount on the rear differential - happy to get that replaced before something worse happened!! Will definitely go back to Clay’s in the future.

Im getting my oil changed here now after moving from Beaverton. Been here twice and had them do inspections and a few repairs also. All of the work was done very well, as far as I can tell, but if you consider the whole experience, from the first phone call, the office experience, the actual repairs, the communication surrounding the ordeal, the appearance of the place and the people, and their approach and attitude toward the customer, then I would have to say it was an above-average experience in a day and world where a quality experience is becoming increasing rare.

Outstanding customer service. Yes, they successfully repaired our car, but just as importantly, they make our life easier and give us peace of mind. When we take our car in for a lube, oil, and filter, they do a basic safety check and keep an eye on when our car is due for routine maintenance. In addition, they go the extra mile. We stopped by for our DEQ and they gave us an easy-to-follow printout of what to do to complete our registration online. In addition, we are having trouble pairing our new iPhone, and they had a printout of phone numbers and steps to take to solve the problem!
