You’d be better off finding a different company or location to get your taxes done with. They have a sign out front stating that they take walk- in appointments yet when I walked in and not a single client was in the building they “did not have any availability” today. I had even called the office before going in and got no answer or call-back so I was even more baffled by how “busy” this empty office seemed to be.

I left 2 messages to have a tax professional call me back because I needed to speak with a tax attorney... Never received a call back... that is very unprofessional.

Ed Foust is both knowledgeable and a decent human being. I imagine the company knows they are lucky to have him. Front desk can be a little snarky if a guy needs to reschedule to a different date...the company could retrain the person who answered the phone today... but the important thing is to get taxes filed properly, and Ed gets the job done. I would recommend h & r block to anyone. Just find someone experienced.

You charged me $148 to do the most basic tax form. You raised cost from last year. I could have done it myself at a fraction of the cost.

My representative was fantastic. He was calm and polite and fairly knowledgeable about the process. I enjoyed his family oriented attitude. He went above and beyond what a normal tax person would be expected to do. He was an excellent communicator. However, he assured me that he was not responsible for the overpriced quote. The online add said, $59, but my cost was $138 plus $39.95, so I felt ripped off badly. My former tax woman was a retired corporate auditor with the IRS and she only charged me $60 to $75. So, H&R Block seriously needs to reduce their pricing for such a generic service!

I have had a couple experiences with HR Block that have been sub par. Once was a scheduling error on there end and they asked me to drive to another location for the appointment. Another time they just completely failed to do my city taxes.I dont agree with their peace of mind service. You pay a fee to be covered in case something goes wrong with your taxes. Or you dont have to pay to have something fixed with it. Ok thats great but just do the taxes right the first time and it wont be an issue. Yeah im not going back to another HR Block again.

It was so expensive, and the person who did my taxes didnt seem to know what she was doing. Sure enough, I discovered an error after the fact. I used them because I had multi state returns, but now that I just have an Ohio return I did it for free online.

They were completely disorganized! Had us come back once because they forgot to do our returns. Almost had us come back a second time because they were falling behind on their appointments. I argued no, so they were forced to hurry up.
