I just had my engine and a bunch more stuff done to my car at this shop. After all was done I had a few small concerns that I brought up to them and without blinking an eye the owner himself went for a ride with me and took care of them all including things that had nothing to do with my engine job. This shop has phenomenal customer service, communication and does quality work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!! Thanks for everything!

I highly recommend Sunset Auto. The staff is caring and helpful. They were able to get my problem taken care of much quicker than they estimated. I took my car to them on a Friday morning; there was some concern that they wouldnt be able to get me taken care of on Friday, which would have meant they had to keep the car until Monday because they are closed weekends. However, they were able to get me taken care of on Friday!!! They are amazing...they dont over charge for their services and I will take my car nowhere else for any maintenance, oil changes or mechanical needs.

I have been using this auto shop for several years and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality auto repair shop,, They provide good, honest and reliable service and will complete the work as promised. If not they will inform you and make recommendations. They do not overcharge or do anything to your vehicle w/o your permission. I will not use another auto shop for my vehicles need.

I usually do the work on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi myself but, when Im pressed for time Or if I cant figure out the automotive problem myself, I drive over to Sunset Auto Import and chat with Dave( I call him Big Dave). Hell either give me a solution or tell me to drop off my truck when convenient for me. I only deal with Big Dave only because were both Veterans and we both shoot straight from the hip sore of speak.I am Always Satisfied with the work that is done on my truck and its always ready when Dave gives me the time of day/date to come to pick it up.Mr. JP

I have been taking my cars here for many years now and Im sad to say that there has been a definite decline in service. Today, I picked up my 2006 Lexus RX 330 after it had been in their possession for 3 days. My Lexus had been diagnosed the first day, within 2 hours as having a bad engine coil. After talking with Josh, we agreed to replace the engine coil and all 6 of the spark plugs along with the gasket for the engine manifold. Curious as to see what that work would entail and how long that would take I went to Youtube and found many videos showing that exact repair. The average time it took to do those repairs was around 2 hours depending on if they took off the engine manifold or not. Thats why Im very disappointed with SunSet Auto because it took them 3 full days to do what should have only taken 2 hours. The worst part about all of this was when I final picked up the car I looked under the hood of the car, just to make sure all the parts where put back correctly and immediately noticed that the engine cover was missing. Had I not done this I would be missing my engine cover. What mechanic doesnt notice that he hasnt put back the engine cover. I dont know if SunSet Auto has lost there most experienced mechanics or if they just dont care anymore about their quality. All I know for sure is what used to take just a few hours to repair now takes them days.

Was down the street at bmw dealership to have a code cleared which required fancy obD 2 computer (not cheap auto zone one) they wanted 95 bucks as it would take an hour of labor to doCalled sun import and mark (the owner) answered. Told him what my car needed, he said thats easy bring it in we wont charge youTook it in shop had cars EVERYWHERE and workers working hard, I was in and out within 5 min mark came to personally talk to me about the code clear and said no charge. VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR HARD WORK!any employee that had passed made sure I was being helped.Tl:DrGreat shop. 5 star, customer for life!

Outstanding reviews all true. My engine was kind of shaking and whistling after a long (~8 hrs) drive when I pulled into Henderson for a 3-night stay. No check engine light on and the next day the car seemed fine but wanted it checked out before getting on the road again. Sunset Auto Imports Service let me bring my X3 in the next morning, checked diagnostics, test rode, etc., provided a detailed report, and charged me a fraction of what the BMW dealership would have. AND, they drove me to/from my hotel while my car was being checked. Just the nicest men working there, so glad I saw the reviews and went with this business. Thanks so much for the honest, friendly, quick service and for giving me peace of mind while on a long road trip.

I was originally told that my car would be ready on Friday but Dave called and was honest with me and told me that it would be not till The next Tuesday. I am glad that they gave me an update. Very good mechanical garage with good service.

Doesnt seem like a very honest place. My wifes car was having some issues with her car driving in a low gear, high RPMs, speedometer guage going up and down and radio screen going in and out. Rick at Sunset said it was the alternator and that it needed to be replaced. Rick said my wife could buy her own part from Auto Zone and they would install it. The next day when we picked up her car, she didnt even drive 20 miles before her car was doing the same thing. Stuck in 2nd gear on the highway. We got the 2016 Dodge Journey into Towbin Dodge immediately and they discovered that transmission and fuel pump needs to be replaced. So I called Rick and let him know and explained they could have had our business. He was nice at that time and said he would talk to the mechanic. A couple hours later, Towbin called us to tell us that the alternator is also bad and that its over charging which is the same thing Sunset said before they supposedly replaced it. I called Rick back and this time, he wasnt so nice. He said the certified mechanics at Towbin are probably liars. The problem with that is, the drive train is under full warranty. The dealership would have no reason to lie and a Dodge inspector has also inspected the vehicle. Now we are in the process of getting the alternator removed and we will return it at Auto Zone. If Auto Zone comes back with, this isnt the same alternator we sold you, we will have some legal issues. I guess we will cross that bridge if we get there. Sunset seems like a very strange, unknowledgeable, dishonest mechanic shop at this point. Its not looking good for them.

These guys solved some problems (quickly) that Ive been having for the past year. Everyone I encountered was professional and pleasent. LGBTQ friendly also. I need more work done and really thrilled I found this AAA referred shop. Ask about labor discounts.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a garage. I called yesterday evening and was told to bring my car in this morning. In 4 hours my strut mounts were replaced and my car is ready to go. This garage is more than worthy of 5 stars.

Too hot in Vegas to not have A/C. Called Sunset Auto and they said bring it in today. Next day before 11 am it was ready for pickup. Fast service, friendly employees and clean environment. Will definitely be back.

Immaculate service. Yeah they are a little bit more expensive than other German mechanics in the area but that’s what happens when you pay for quality work. I chose this place too because Dave assured all parts they use are OEM. This place is dealership quality at a fraction of the cost. They replaced the starter in my BMW for 500$ less than what BMW of Henderson quoted me.

My husband Richard Grace and I have been taking his truck and my car to Sunset for a while now and they are the most honest and knowledgeable we have ever met. They are nice, friendly and they sure know what they are doing. We took our grandsons car there because it wasnt starting and guess what, he was out of gas, you cant get anymore honest than that. As a women, that has happened to me over the years, and not only in the auto service business. The needed repairs are carefully explained and estimated, but not created nor inflated.

Worked tirelessly to figure out what was wrong on my old Jaguar..no one else could find the problem. Now we take all our cars there...and have had always top results. Best auto mechanics for great service good prices and most important they are really really good mechanics. We drive 30 minutes to get to them rather than any of the local places.

I have never rated anything before...However this is my exception. For the past month or so my car has been taking longer than usual to start. I hate this dang car because ever since I got it...it has given me nothing but problems. Finding a honest and trust worthy mechanic has been particularly difficult for me. I chose this place because of the good ratings. I took the car in first thing this morning and was a little nervous because of how busy they were. But after explaining the issue I was having they took my car in right away and even offered to drive me how (even though I declined and said I would wait) it took about an hour and I was honestly expecting a huge price and quite frankly them telling me it needed to be fixed asap. But surprisingly this was not the case. It ended up being my fuel pump, and though the price was not cheap...it was expected. They also explained it was in the early stages and since I was planning on getting rid of this car in a few months that I shouldnt worry about it right now. obviously if my fuel pump goes out before then I will need it fixed but I will definitely be taking my car to this shop. 4 stars purely on customer service just because my car wasnt actually worked on at this time. Thanks for the good experience :)

I just needed an oil change, but finding an auto shop that I feel comfortable with is very important to me. I really liked the environment of this shop. I was able to overhear several conversations the personnel had with customers, both in the shop and on the phone. They are very knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, and friendly. The mechanic noticed coolant on my cars engine while changing the oil. He looked for, but did not find a leak. He made a point of bringing this to my attention. Also, one of my service lights on the dash (TPMS) was lit, so he checked my tire pressure and my brakes. I was very pleased and impressed with their attentiveness. I will definitely go back to this shop for future auto service.

Ive been a customer at Sunset for 5 years now. My father recommended them and Im grateful he did. They took care of my car until it got to the point it wasnt worth fixing anymore. Once that happened, they were even helpful when I was looking at new cars to purchase. They did the buyers check for me and let me know exactly what I would be getting into by buying the car. Their email service reminders are also great. Without them I would probably never remember to have my oil changed. They Mikes & the rest of the staff are fabulous and treat me with nothing but courtesy and respect. I will always recommend them to my friends and family.

I love this place! They find a way to get you an appointment, provide a shuttle if you need one and they have never overcharged me. My jeeps front end was squeaking and I thought maybe CV boots or u joints. Nope they took about an hour to check everything out greased some stuff and the squeak was gone and they didnt even charge me. being on the single mom budget I really appreciated it. They have also worked on my parents car and they always warranty any work done. Really nice honest company. Seriously YOU GUYS AND GALS ROCK!!

My wife and I choose to travel nearly 25 miles to get to Sunset Auto. Weve tried other mechanic shops closer to where we live, but time and again, only Sunset has proven trustworthy and dependable. Other shops routinely cry wolf, urging expenditures that need to be made NOW. After getting a second opinion from Sunset about the costly recommendation, it becomes apparent that the other shop is just trying to make a buck off scaring us into thinking that our cars are going to explode. When we do spend 3 or 4 figures on a repair at Sunset, we are confident that the work was warranted and that it was done correctly. Theyre friendly, straightforward, and Id not hesitate to recommend them. I only wish they were located closer to the west side of town!!!

Great service. These guys really know how to diagnose a problem and not just do a trial and error parts change. If the problem is simple, they keep it simple. I made the mistake of taking my Volvo to another shop closer to my work and the problem was not properly diagnosed and fixed. Sunset Auto technicians were able to get to the root of the problem and repair it in a timely manner. I will never take my car anywhere else again.

Early one afternoon I called for an appointment for oil change and was told to “come on in”. When I arrived, the counter person said it would be a few minutes, in short, within the hour the car was serviced and ready to go. Price was fair and included a discount for AAA. What was surprising they remembered a repair on a former vehicle performed a few years ago.

At 67 years old I have experienced my fair share of car dealerships and auto repair. I have been using Sunset Auto Imports for over 6 years and it is fair to say they are by far the most professional and most important..... trustworthy auto repair shop I have ever experienced. I dont feel taken advantage of or talked down to when I come here either. Did I mention I live on the complete opposite side of town and still come here??

This is the second time Ive taken my 2006 Honda Odyssey to them, first was for transmission work, second time was to replace a power steering pump and a belt. Both times the work was done professionally, quickly and with a lower price quote than I got from several other repair shops. As a single mother of three, it is essential I have a good running vehicle to get my children & myself where we need to be. Last week where we needed to be was somewhere in Henderson, a neighborhood I am not familiar with in the slightest. Sadly, while there, my car over heated, leaving all my children & I stranded on the side of the road. Fortunately, I found Sunset Auto Imports when searching for the nearest mechanic. They sent a tow truck out for my vehicle, drove us home, and picked us up when the car was fixed. The repairs needed couldve been quite costly anywhere else but these guys were so awesome,and honest, about everything. They didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need & let me know which repairs I really did need compared to the ones I could wait on. MD & Mikey in the service office kept me informed of everything going on with my repairs, by phone, through out the day. Hands down the best service Ive received from a repair shop in Nevada. I dont know if the customers have any knowledge of auto mechanics, but this place made me pay over 100 dollars for a full check up, but they didnt really check the car. They told me I had to pay close to 1300 to fix a 2010 Chevy. It was a lie that they checked the car. I hate places that do this to hard working people. I would give 0 stars if there was an option.

Ive been using Sunset Auto for over a decade now and continue to go back due to their great service and honesty. 6 years ago I moved to the opposite side of town and took my vehicle to a shop down the street where they blatantly lied about an issue. She is a UNR student down for Christmas break and the car was in rough shape : Rack and pinion replacement, power steering fluid pump, alignment, head lamp, etc. Car repaired by afternoon the following day, quality work and great value.
